''Because the story is about the poor family infiltrating and creeping into the rich house, it seems very obvious that Parasite refers to the poor family, and I think that's why the marketing team was a little hesitant. But if you look at it the other way, you can say that rich family, they're also parasites in terms of labor. They can't even wash dishes, they can't drive themselves, so they leech off the poor family's labor. So both are parasites.'' -words from the director Bong.

And this was beautifully directed. The shots, the sets, they're very aesthetically pleasing. All the scenes which indirectly denote the differences between social classes (for example, the rich family having to walk upstairs to get to their house, while the poor family has to go down.. how the rich family's house is always so bright while the poor family's house is in constant gloom).
I don't have much to say, actually. I was just left thinking I HAVE to check out more Korean cinema. The acting feels much more real and it touches much more mature topics. I know I'm kind of late, but this film deserved its Oscar.
