Thriller

I watch a lot of BL and this has been on my list for a long time(like before the new season started) and I finally completed it. I knew it wasn't going to be BL but I wanted to watch it because Gun is in it(buckle up for his role). Needless to say with or without BL/Bromance I was on the edge of my seat from ep1. I love psychological thrillers so this was right up my alley. Like a beast mode roller coaster, there were twists at every turn. If you get bored easy like me, I think you'll be safe to watch this without problems. Acting was on point and the music kept you in the mood with the dark twisted theme. The love hate relationships with the characters kept my emotions going crazy. I can't wait to see how intense S2 is...

So Good

I usually find school dramas and dramas with powers to be overused and cliché. So, I did not think I would like this one at all. I decided to watch it based on a friends recomendation, and absolutely loved it!

The way the plot flows together but isn't too heavy, the touches of music to give it humor or dramatics, the acting! Oh gosh the acting (especially from gun) was so good. This is honestly one of if not my favourite thai dramas now.

I have rewatched it over t times now, but I am still not bored of it. Episode 5 and 13 are my favourites, by the show in its entirety is fantastic. If anyone has the chance or time to watch this series, please do! You will not be disappointed!

I promised myself to write a review after finishing this series and here I am. This is my first attempt, so bare with me.

I wanted to say that I didn't plan to watch the Gifted. Actually I didn't even know it existed before the first 5 episodes. After finishing it I am not disappointed with my choice. If you are looking something with no romance (or maybe some hints of it) and you would like to think about some serious topics like education and equality then this is for you.

Plot wise the series is near perfect. The depiction of the students and the fact that they didn't use over the top 'gifts' like flying , made this quite unique. The best part of it was that the scriptwriters didn't only focus on the advantages of the students abilities, but they also commented the serious consequences not only to themselves but to others too.

If you are a student and have asked yourself "Why am I studying so hard?", "Why do I have to do this?" or "Why am I not good at this?" this is a must watch.

This is a realistic depiction of the 'law of the jungle' and our educational system that ignores some of the students as 'not all deserve the same treatment'.

This series is literally a MASTERPIECE!

This series was highly recommended by a friend of mine since its release but since I am busy watching some Kdramas before and eating BL Series I haven't check this one out and I just finished thise series and I can say that I regret not checking this out before!! I am so inlove with this series it kinda reminds me of "4400" an american series but the plot is different it is just on the characteristics of their potentials. Episode 1 was a really great start it really hooks you and make you into the series right away, I rarely post Reviews unless I really want to say something about the series or I love it! And By this one I really do! The Story is really fresh and new and I love the transition and connection of each characters and episodes specially episode which unveils their potential, because there are other series that when an episode will focus on a certain character it will look like you are watching a different show but in this one it's just amazing!! In terms of Acting I love Gun (Punn) so much but when I watched it I fall inlove even more he is really AMAZING! a 100% Great Actor and Also Jane (Claire) I really adore how sassy her character is and how her acting really get me into it specially on the start of her episode where she wink I really Love it! Overall the cast did great in acting. Just a quick thing I just really feel vague to the role of JJ and AJ (Twins) their characters don't really make sense to me but I am hoping that there is something behind that on Season 2! Overall The Gifted is a MUST WATCH series!! and an indeed Master Piece! anticipating the next season!

A masterpiece

I love this drama from
bottom of my heart and there are
multiple reasons for it. First reason
is that the story is awesome. One of
the I've ever seen in a drama. 2nd the
characters are well written. Like very
well writer. All of them are different
and have different traits and receive
character and potential development.

( you know what I mean lol ) Usually
a drama is either plot-driven or
character-driven. It's very rare to find
one which is both and this one is one
of those rare gems. Also, the drama
has a lot of sub-genres. The drama
never loses its suspense and mystery
and every episode has a plot-twist.
You'll always have to look at the

screen and I love that. The other
thing is that they showed mental
illness and you all already know that
I love every drama that talks about it
lol correctly of course. It was a
surprise to me when I found out
one character had DID but but I felt
very glad that they showed it in the
drama. Another thing is that the
drama talks about how the school's

system and society affects the
children and it also talks about social
issues when it's a fantasy drama and
that's just amazing. I love the BG music
and the lightning is just awesome!
The direction is incredibly good and
cinematography...AHH just every scene
is amazing. Overall I love this drama a
lot. And I can't wait for the season two.

Really I'm dying from waiting. The gifted
is a masterpiece. Period.

First of, I must thank Magical ( via MDL) for suggesting this drama in the community section. Hey, Magical thank you.
Now that I got that out of the way, let me start of by saying this this drama was awesome. Why? It was not predictable and a lot of plot twists but in a good way. It's about power, those who have it and those who do not. Those who have power will rule the masses and those who do not will serve those in power. It teaches kids in a subtle way how the world works. Well what about the parents and their values? This drama found a way to make parents irrelevant because the kids live at school. And guess what the kids are separated by the only power they possess: grades and test scores. Do you get the picture now? Grades are power not money in this school and poor grades means your destined to live in poverty. In other words, you will accept whatever is handed to you.

Do you love this school or do you hate it? Hey do you wanna send you child there? This drama questions what do you really want for your child? Do you want them to have a good education or attend a school that treats every child equally? Can you accept the fact that what you value as important is not important for you child to succeed in the world? Such as just do your best and no one is better than you. Or will you reconsider your values and agree with the school that no one is equal and only the strong survive. Will you watch this drama and have your belief system challenged or will you run away because you can't handle your beliefs being wrong?

Lastly, I will not bore with, if the production is on the same as Korean Dramas or if the soundtrack is amazing because this is not a musical is a drama, and a damn good one at that. Watch it or don't but you have been warned.

I just finished this and the mixed feelings are killing me.
Usually, high school dramas don't really spike my interest. But after all that rating I did decide to watch this once and for all, and I must say, I'm so damn glad I did!I mean, some things really weren't new, but for reason, they did have an aura for themselves. I don't know how to explain this. It's like you've seen something like this...and you haven't...at the same time. Does that even make sense?
The plot includes a huge chunk of the bullshit society got so used to throwing at teenage kids. Whether it were the expectations and responsibilities and how they take a toll on the students mental and physical health or how some people are just so invested in perfection and power and how they go to the extremes to fulfill them.
I don't usually give a plot this high of a rating unless I was continuously entertained, and that is exactly how I was throughout the whole length of this drama. How satisfying it is to not have the slightest bit of urge to fast forward. The series of events and the cliffhangers were truly put together. The writers and producers really knew what they were doing, and so did GMM when they decided to put out such a fresh yet mysterious and intriguing story for international fans. They know what they're doing, especially when they make things this easy to access.
Some acting skills really showed and to say that I was amazed is an understatement. Someone that I didn't expect such a performance from is none other than Gun Atthaphan who played the role of Pun. You'll understand once you watch it.
If you're waiting for a sign. This is it. Watch this and you definitely won't regret.

needs to be on Netflix!!

I actually had this show sitting in my watch list for a while before deciding to give it a chance. I was already familiar to a lot of the actors because of how many bls i have watched lmao. I was able to watch 7 episodes back to back before i had to go to sleep. I was blown away by one episode!!

Storyline:
The storyline is very simple to explain, yet so amazing when you unpack everything. It can get confusing at times but overall it's easy to watch in one sitting. The only thing i was hoping to see is more screen time for Joe and Jack.

Acting/Cast
Stunning. Each actor played their part amazingly. I couldn't think of a better cast. Nanon did amazing showing Pang's thoughts. Chimon showed Wave's personality in a way I can't explain. Lilly did really good pertaining Namtarn. Sing showed Ohm's funny and dark side really good. Jane was able to make me hate her character to loving her character in one episode. AJ and JJ are two actors i have always admired. Fiat and Puimek made me feel their hardships with their potentials. And what can i even say about Gun? He needs an Oscar for episode 5!! He was able to show 5 different emotions and characters without making them seem alike! I may be biased, but Thailand has some of the best actors i've seen. Not to mention that most of them were young when filming this.

Music:
Everytime the intro song came on, i blasted the music. The ost is amazing, both the instrumentals and the regular singing.

Rewatch value:
Definitely rewatching this show before season two comes out💕

*CHEF'S KISS* i am literally out of words. the first episode until the end really kept me on my seat. everything's SO great, that i would literally watch it over and over again. although their flaws were of course, not showcasing the depth of the twins' ability (which we're all still disappointed about, i get you) and the inconsistency of mon's character. like, it's impossible for her to not attend any of the gifted classes before her episode came? but other than that, kudos to the gifted team. i'm a sucker for plot twists (thank you, kdramas for grooming me to like the suspense genre) and the sudden plot twists nearing the end just took me aback. i felt like the twists were rushed? there was no clear transition whatsoever or even a second to give me a breather! but that's what emphasizes its suspense genre, and it gave me more reason to look forward to the second season, although lilly won't be in there anymore. 11/10 would recommend.

The Gifted is my first Thai drama, and i guess i couldn't have had a better first approach!!
the whole serie is just too good and intriguing, the twists in the plot are amazing and so well done!! all the actors did an amazing job and the one playing Wave really caught my attention, he was SO GOOD!!
Beside the plot and the acting, what i actually enjoyed the most is that the serie tackled a lot of real life problems, especially regarding student's conditions and anxieties, and how messed up school systems are. Without having to go as far as talking about superpowers, the simple division based on grades / performances are extremely unfair, and although they don't happen in my country, i can name many countries that actually adopt this system.
The serie tackles other important issues like mental health as well, and it does so in a pretty graphic but also apt way. Must add trigger warning though, for everyone who are sensible towards multiple personality disorder and anxiety.

really enjoyed the ending and the music as well, SO I'M HOPING AND PRAYING FOR SEASON 2!! anyone knows when is it happening???

Different than other dramas

Overall I really enjoyed "The Gifted". After hours and multiple shows of watching many different thai dramas (mostly BL), "The Gifted" really hit differently. Not only was it not based around a typical love story (like every other drama), it had a fairly well developed story-line and system. Unfortunately, I saw the sequel to this series prior to this. This drama was very good at keeping the viewer hooked with each episode. The main curiosity for finding out the potentials was enough for me.

I don't have any heavy spoilers (reason why I didn't put "has spoilers") but I did put quite a few strong implications as to how the show works...?

Although I did enjoy the discovering of each characters "potentials", I did not fully enjoy how it was displayed. It seemed as though some of the characters didn't even exist until there was an episode specifically dedicated to their potential and their potential only. My problem with this is that it leaves the characters with not much character development. Don't get me wrong, each character is complex in their own way with their own struggles in their potential, I just find zero character development in most characters.

Then again, the character development in the main characters was phenomenal. I really enjoyed watching Wave and how he adjusted and changed through every situation. It seemed as though his character was really predictable, but it was still interesting as to how he would handle everything. Of course we can't forget to mention the development of Pang. Pang went from a student just from class 8, to the one who understands everything. Pang never fully understood the unequal system and I doubt that he ever will.

Overall, the story-line wasn't the best. The finding of potentials was interesting, but it seemed like there was not a full cause. Not to mention the horrible cliffhanger at the end of this series. What was the point of the whole show though? These students take a test, learn their potentials, and then they- ??? I did enjoy the discovering of the school's secrets part, however, I don't know if I really find that to be the main plot. So...what was it? Am I missing something?

The cast was fairly okay. I had not seen many dramas with these actors (other than Gun Atthaphan). I find that the actors did display strong emotions very well through their characters. I don't have much to say about this category of my review. I might feel as though if the story-line was a little more developed with all the characters that the actors could have done better or they could have done worse, but we don't know.

I would rewatch this drama, but not any time soon. It was fun discovering each mystery and trying to figure it out yourself, but once you find out, rewatching it wouldn't be as fun. (You already know the answer)

This is a masterpiece

Well indeed that GMMTV really stepped up interms of their series. Which it is basically worth watching not only for the local viewers but also internationally. So here is my review:

Story-10
It is really a masterpiece. The director really knows how to balanced everything up which it is just not focusing in getting the main objective of the series which is to find out the secret of the gifted program. But, it also focuses on the characters stories as well their conflicts and everything. In which the story for me is really remarkable.

Acting-10
The actors in this series really portrayed the role that is given to them naturally. I have no words to say but it really is remarkable.

Music- 9.0
In every series everything must work that way it should and for me the music of this series is kinda of for me but the opening song of the series is like intense like it really caught me a little bit.

Re-watch value- 10

If you are done watching the series you will tell yourself "Wait what it is the end already? " or "We need season 2 please" Because even how many times you will watch this series, you will never get tired of it.

Overall-10

This series shouldn't be miss. That is all I can say.
