Nakagawa Shun, born in Ishikawa Prefecture in 1987, initially worked as an event manager after graduating from college. At the same time, he studied filmmaking at the New Cinema Workshop in Tokyo. His short film debut "Kalanchoe" (2016) received numerous awards in Japan. His first feature film "Sayonara, Girls." (2022) had its world premiere at the 2022 Tokyo International Film Festival.
