Chan selected him for his company and trained for only 2 weeks before making his debut in 2014 as the group's vocalist and main dancer with their 1st single, "At First". However, in 2016, there was confusion regarding his status on the group as he signed a contract to pursue a solo career in China and was excluded from promotional activities with JJCC in Japan.
