In 2014, Carrie received a role as a murderous schizophrenic in TV series Against the Tide, acting alongside renowned Singapore actors Christopher Lee and Rui En. The same year, she garnered critical acclaim for her portrayal of Tang Shui Mei (Sweet Soup Lass) in TV series Tumultuous Times which got her nominated for Best Supporting Actress & Best Newcomer at Star Awards 2015. Late in 2014, Carrie participated in the long-running 255-episodes TV series 118. In 2015, she was given her first lead role in a romantic comedy series Sealed with a Kiss.
Carrie won the Top 10 Most Popular Female Artistes at the Star Awards for 5 consecutive years from 2015 to 2019. In 2018, she attained her first Star Awards Best Actress nomination for her role in the TV series My Friends From Afar. Carrie starring dual role as Vicky Zhan and Victoria Lek in web series VIC (2018), which earned her second nomination Best Actress at the Star Awards 2019.
Carrie's big break came when she was offered a role in TV series A Quest to Heal which the production hailed all the way to film in Hengdian, China for the ancient scenes; in this series she played the female lead role Luo Mingyi, a swordswoman who time-travelled from the Ming Dynasty to present day.
