"Now, I just need to live in reality"

I don't know what kind of unrealistic fairy tale someone expects but watch this one to, literally, entertain yourself.
If you watch the series as purely romantic, you will rightfully be bored.
If you watch the series as romantic fiction you will rightfully be confused.
If you see the series as an allegory of how humans love, you might find something very interesting to watch alongside a very good BL theme.
Rain as the microcosm bubble created by mutual or one-sided feelings towards someone. In this personal space - world you only listen (rightfully and humanely) to the person you care about and the most selfish (in a good or bad sense) part of you. Otherwise "it so lonely when it rains"
And yes, in this little personal world nothing is certain, solid, completely innocent or evil.
No one is perfectly good or bad but everyone tries their best (at least to understand).
"When hard times come, love is not enough" - The biggest enemy is ourselves.
With this perspective the series achieves a lot and at the same time, let's recognize this part, it keeps the classic BL aspects to everyone's delight.
See it with an open eye, mind and heart... and you will gain something or at the very least you will have a very good time.
Pros: Good acting, solid story, interesting characters, good chemistry, good managing of diversity, equity and inclusion
Improve: Clearer target for the message, clarifying the multiple levels of each role, better structure of the fiction world
PS. On the contrary to others opinion, the second half was even better!
