CRIED LAUGHED AND CRIED AGAIN

To be honest I started watching this out of pure boredom and had absolutely no expectations for the story line. It took me probably 3 days to get through the first episode because I didn’t get where it was heading but you quickly see the tragic story. It gets sad and it gets even sadder before we even have a glimpse of happiness. But albeit we get it. I know the writers worked hard for a redemption arc from the mother I can’t say I truly empathized with her even to the very end but I grew to love her character, nonetheless, there is some romance not a lot and even though the drama is mostly serious it also has very lighthearted moments.

I think the writers did well balancing it out. All the actors did great. They had amazing crew I fell in love with every character and their stories no one is perfect and the show truly showed everyone’s humanity.

I’ve become a fan of Lee Dohyun, Ahn Eunjin & Yoo Insoo through this drama & I can’t wait to see them all in new dramas!

I everyone worked so hard this drama brought me so much happiness week after week and though I’m sad it ended I’m excited for the actors new projects!

If you’re thinking of watching this please do so you won’t regret.

Very sweet fitting ending !

Tysm for reading this review! Let’s all be happy!

QOT MY BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT OF THE YEAR.

“What soapy tragic trope will we put in?” writers: “ALL PLS” ☺️
I think my harsh criticism comes with how excited i was for this drama, and how much I truly enjoyed it at the beginning. I tuned in week after week, I was sure this was one would be drama of the year but wow was I wrong—

I’ll start with I loved THEM. I really do love Kim Soohyun as an actor and really watched for him. I was really impressed with KIm jiwon despite not liking her previous work.

The leads were amazing they were a real match made in heaven. I think if there’s something the directors did good is cast the people they casted. The leads had such an amazing chemistry, and I hope they win couple of the year because they truly deserve it.

I’ll start with this drama was falsely advertised as a rom-com but its full drama which starts to fall apart by ep 12. I feel like the writers room was a complete mess and i don’t know what happened. Memory loss ✅ car accidents while crossing the street✅, murdering step mother ✅ kidnapping and lying to the amnesiac✅, taking a bullet for the lead✅, almost getting killed MULTIPLE TIMES✅, falsely accused of murder ✅ Our hero saved fl in the past ✅, met as children✅ villains stole all the money✅ I know I am missing so many more but-

NAME A TROPE AND I CAN GUARANTEE THEY PUT IT IN.

I’t was excessive in my opinion to the point it became boring and extremely predictable. i have to be honest and admit that after episode 12 I hated this drama and skipped all the unnecessary banter of the villains, and other characters I did not care for. I can be honest and say that WE DID NOT NEED THAT MUCH TIME FOR THE AUNTIES RELATIONSHIP like who cares?. The mother getting forgiveness so easily was another down-head. I can say at the beginning despite her being a horrible mom i did not dislike her and found her character quite entertaining. But after her being forgiven so easily is when my dislike began.

I think the biggest character disappointment was the grandpa. WHO THE HELL SIGN CONTRACTS BASED ON VIBES LMAO. Prob the most unbelievable story line of them all. I feel the writers couldn’t pick between making him a silly little guy or a serious chaebol grandpa.

The character I enjoyed the most was Soocheol i honestly didn’t expect to like him as much as I did, and if there’s anything to take away is that HE WILL STEAL YOURT HEART WITH HIS PURE LOVE FOR HIS WIFE. I am soooooo in love with him and his character and I am excited to see him acting again hopefully as a lead this time.

I thought I wanted this drama to win drama of the year and now that I’m pretty sure it WILL win i am feeling quite upset.

The writers put every single trope out there, and forgot the most important one which is the leads rekindling their love in the country side and she get magically cured with the power of love. Who really cares about a power fight? I just wanted to see THEM but even them reconciling was surrounded by hurt and bad energy that it’s hard to even feel relieved by the end. Why was she acting so weird by the end? After crying so much for him to wake up? I get wanting to get to know each other but then we should’ve gotten all that an episode before the end.

The ending was beautiful it was nice to see her welcoming him into heaven but i say this with a snear on my face because in the end i ended up hating this drama n and eating up all the praises i gave it at the beginning of the drama.

I have a huge feeling this will become a fan favorite and I’m already dreading it being called a classic in a couple pf years.

Glad i watched this! 100% recommend watching!

I absolutely loved this drama so much! There are just minor things that I would change the only things being how much seonwha appeared in the drama, and the rest of the bullies being welcomed back as if they didn’t participate I think the bullies should’ve gotten more punishments than just a beating of their own but I mean even in real life perpetrators often just get away with a slap on the hand so its not an unbelievable ending.

I usually can’t stomach drama’s with so much bullying but even though they were doing a drama with such heavy topic as bullying you also get your moments of comedy relief. Still they did it so well because it doesn’t take away from the actual problem and you still think about what the victims are going through.

The fight he had with his friend you can see the desperation the mc felt as well as the other guy. You can tell how hopeless he felt all while his bully just found everything so amusing.

*wish byongtae would’ve beaten that bully more and actually broken his wrist so he could never use it to hurt others again*

Overall great story loved it very much!

A good use of a time travel trope

Okay I started this drama the day it aired and here I am almost an entire year later finishing. It starts off really interesting, really good plot twists and I love how many times I was fooled. It does get slow in whats supposed to be the half way point. Which is the reason it took me so long to get back to it. But wow does it picks up and it actually ends up being an amazing drama.

I strongly recommend it. Amazing casting specially the young version of the parents. I’m glad I actually went back to finish this drama.

Bad but entertaining i guess

I read this webtoon when it first came out and it really sucks that they made a mess of a story so creative.

they took a lot of liberties in season one and it just created many inconsistencies as the story progress to season 2. To the point it gets ridiculous.

I’ll start with the whole premise of the story is that people who concert into monsters were suppose to be their deepest desires. But i guess they didn’t have enough time in all these 3 years and instead they just went on random now instead of specific things we get all these metal monsters that look like they came straight out of Transformers other as spiders and dinosaurs and just random things out of safari etc. otterly ridiculous. Depending on what i guess their jib was they created the monster based on that. Special effects weren’t as good as season 1.

A lot of of people are saying “its world building” but it is too late for world building or they should have limited to the first 2-3 episodes,

Lee Jinwook is terrified of going back to the lab he keeps pestering Hyunsu about not going there blah blah well they go and hyunsu is just locked up for 2 episodes lol . JInwook makes Hyunsu turn into stone and tells him he’d die here alone and so on but somehow because they do not show us Hyunsu gets out of that predicament and really quickly because at the same time Yikyung was giving birth and he was there immediately after the little monster baby was out lol.

Our new MC Eunyu still just as annoying and selfish as ever. Has had absolutely no growth but i liked that she’s somehow turned Herself into some sort of Rambo.

Unnecessary love triangle Eunyu was never supposed to be a love interest for Hyunsu but here we are i think not making this absolutely ridiculous love triangle would have made the story much better.

Not only do they jump from story line to story line nothing ever comes together. They say Eunyu murdered the chief husband but we never saw what happened until the very end so the whole time i was so confused, It’s a literal mess and i dont understand how anyone could have truly enjoyed this junk.

I did enjoy the military addition it was the only addition i liked. Becuase it absolutely made sense.

Unnecessary deaths and new additions : they killed the little boy’s sister so sudden no one was extreamly hurt except her does that make sense just to make him a little a-hole and do nothing meaningful with his character. The priest the sick girl other ppl who are taking shelter in the stadium is like none of those stories made sense. They killed Jisu for no reason. Took so long trying to get her hand stamp making it seem like something amazing was going to happen but was all a waste of time lol.

Had they focused on the monsters at he lab I think it would’ve been better.

Oh and dont remind of the weird doctor with the monster fetish they tried to make him quirky and funny but the portrayal was just annoying . also that girl who was with the old man and gave the military guy some mushrooms with was that??? It was weird and r*pey not at all funny or amusing.

Disappointed but not surprised

I started watching this with very low expectations as high school thriller dramas are often written so poorly, Regardless, ended up hooked to the point I was surprised as to why the show didn’t sucked. It’s not what i signed up for. Which was a shitty high school drama where teenagers just do whatever they want and the adults are non existent. But by episode 10 everything went down the drain. You get Hooked from the very beginning and it distracts you from all the inconsistencies. I am a bit disappointed given that this drama had so much potential to be great.

I’m surprised sooheon was still alive by the last episode with the amount of times he fainted and got hit on the head.

I think by ep 10 I was over Ok Chanmi’s character. She changed so much, but her basically exorcising jaejoong out of jaebeom’s body was just shameless writing. How can she forgive Jaebeom so easily just because he was nice person? When she literally shot Sooheon when she believe him the culprit? It’s just seems so out of character for her. I mean she said she take the culprit to the mountains and killed them herself but suddenly she’s Mother Ok Theresa.

After a while you start to notice how every single thing that happens had a sole purpose and it gets so annoying. Ajung being pregnant white hair girl “going away” and finding jaebeom at the port jaebeom mother going into the ICU so he needed money somehow jaebeom and Chan I reaching jaebeom on time before being exposed of being the hero. Like everything was just too purposefully written like those OP characters that get specific powers for every villain. To the point is just annoying.

Up to ep 9 my rating was 10 then it progressively went down. I am quite disappointed in the ending. Still I’m grateful for the ride at the beginning which was quite fun. I guess i got exactly what I signed up for at the beginning of this drama.

Good and Crazy

I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this drama. It was a really fun watch. All the actors did such a good job, besides its inconsistencies it was truly a good and fun watch. It’ starts off like your typical police drama. But develops to a more serious note. If you don’t care for potholes and are there just for the good vibes you will love this! I am not one to usually say things like these but I wish there was a season 2.

I think it was a nice change we don’t usually get corrupt protagonists so I loved that the protagonists was a dirty cop. And ou see him slowly making better decisions as the story proceeds given him a good redemption arc. I would’ve love to see at least one more kiss scene that was lovely lol. and K omg i lovedddddddd k he was so funny and all the fighting scenes were amazing.

Protagonists was bruised the entire 12 episodes lol.

Well they had me the first half..

It could’ve been great.. The leads were amazing they had amazing chemistry and I would 100% be keeping up with their next projects. I would absolutely love to see them acting again, perhaps with some better writing.

Secondary characters were charming as well I loved Solwa the most. Though by the end I was already over the cringy fluff.

There were many arcs that just made no sense I really ended up disliking the drama. By episode 9 I was already bored and this is probably the first time I have ever said this but this drama did not need 12 episodes.

I think the writer just went through all the generic Kdrama tropes and checked them all off as they were writing lol. It really was good for the first half. But it completely went downhill. Plot holes, and loose ends was really its demise.

I haven’t seen something this wholesome in a while

Okay, so I’ll start by saying I’m not even half way through the drama but I love it so much. The acting is amazing specially from the main leads the little kid is adorable. I love them all including all the side pairings. They all have their cutesy cringe moment and I live for this.

My only problem thus far is the pervert office worker, the way they just gloss over everything he has done. Why have they permitted that pervert to still work there thus far is beyond me giving how gross he is. Every women is in danger around him and he bullies his subordinates. That is enough reason to fire this dude but that’s just me i guess…

So other than that I think this drama is amazing and if you’re thinking about watching it please do so it’s just so wholesome I’m sure you will enjoy it!
