“It’s hard for people to change. If changing was easy, we wouldn’t be humans.”

The Plan Man is way more than just the typical romcom. I wouldn’t consider this a romance if you may ask. If you expected a lovey-dovey, cute couple moments, this is not the movie for you. But if you are searching for deep, but still comedy, a story that explains to you the real meaning of love, I recommend you this one!

This movie tells a story of a man with OCD who wrote about meeting his crush for a hundred days in his diary. Han Jeong Seok (Jung Jae Young) plans everything with the alarm, and he never misses a single minute in doing his daily routine. When he manages to pick up his courage and confess to his crush who works in the minimarket, he was incredibly surprised to find that he was confessing his feelings to another female part timer, Yoo So Jeong (Han Ji Min), as he then left his diary by accident in the minimarket. As a woman who had a dream to be a singer, So Jeong wrote a song based on Jeong Seok’s diary and sang it live on the bar she always performed. When So Jeong realizes Jeong Seok’s feeling to her fellow workmate, she asks him to join her as a duo performing at an audition to impress his crush.

A simple story. But not cliche. Some may say the story is a little too overdramatic, but for me the story was just right. The story gives off a lot of meaning to love and life, especially for us to CHANGE. If you don’t change, when will you get better? We must take action to fight our trauma.

This may not be the most romantic romance movie there was, but this movie is worth the watch! Really sweet and meaningful, overall an 8.5/10 ⭐️
