Will become your second home :)

I can't even begin to explain how beautiful this drama is. It's beyond words. As a fairly new jdrama watcher, I have found that Japanese dramas have this way of touching your heart, a way that Korean dramas could never replicate.

They become your second family, you never feel excluded, and you grow and learn with them. They become your friends, brothers, sisters, parents, and neighbors. The viewer themselves is considered part of the village, they're part of the family. as the drama progresses, we laugh and cry with the characters, and we learn new things about them. inside jokes start developing, jokes that you wouldn't get unless you had watched the previous episodes

It's hard not to get attached to the characters, each having their own charm. Not to mention how scenic this drama is, the setting of the village is beyond extraordinary and so cottagecore-esque, it makes you feel warm and fuzzy :))

beware before you start this drama, because you will definitely have a hole in your heart once this drama is over, nothing can replace this gem !!

Totally not what I expected!!!

When I started this drama, I expected something more cliche, like the mother and daughter fighting over a man and putting the most focus on romance than anything else. The shift in plot was a very pleasant surprise. I loved the mother-daughter relationship, everything about it was very wholesome.

I enjoyed the ending a lot too, I liked how they stuck with the motherly love message until the end. I feel like the title of this drama is very misleading. The main focus of the drama isn't the daughter finding a boyfriend at all, it's more about a mother and daughter's relationship and following their journey of learning more about and understanding each other.

I hope this drama has a special sequel or a movie or something, it's just so cute the whole cast has grown on me.

AMAZINGGGG

this drama was beyond my expectations, it was seriously so so good. First off, the casting for this drama was incredible, I don't think I can think of anyone who could've pulled the two main characters off any better. the way the actors were able to pull off the personality changes between the switches, and even drastic octave changes LOL, it was so fun to watch. I've seen body-switching dramas before, but this one was nothing like I've seen before.

I mean, a police officer switching bodies with a criminal suspect?????!!!! LIKE COME ONNNN, that is one of the most basic yet most genius concepts, it's so replicable yet I have never seen anyone produce it until now. not to mention the amount of plot twists!!! it had you guessing again and again and each episode was just as exciting as the next.

I enjoyed all the characters, and i liked how it was more than just a cat and mouse chase, there were also many emotional scenes. i really enjoyed kawahara's and riku's characters, they were than just your average "villain" and "sidekick".

I feel like this drama really needs a sequel or spinoff, it's too good!!!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!SPOILER AHEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Out of all the predictions I made the only one that was true was the one about riku's co-worker being somehow involved, but even then I was second-guessing my prediction throughout the whole drama until the truth was finally revealed.

i loved it

I watched this drama around a month ago, and I wasn't planning on putting a review, but it has been sitting in the back of my head for so long I just had to come and finally write up how I feel about it. Firstly, Small & Mighty caught my eye because I really enjoy law + comedy genre, so I believed this drama would be something I would like. I was definitely not mistaken, because i absolutely LOVED this drama, maybe even more than I originally thought.

Being my first Taiwanese drama, the cinematography was certainly something that needed getting used-to, but it definitely grew on me and I have no complaints about it, I loved it like I loved everything else about this drama. The cast was great, I loved the main leads' chemistry, and little Liang Liang is so adorable!!! This drama has all the great genres for someone looking for a very lighthearted but warm drama with many great lessons; everything from slice of life, to law, to comedy, to found-family, to workplace to friendship. As I stated in a comment before, the law cases in this drama remind me of the ones in extraordinary attorney woo; cases with just the right amount of realism and wholesomeness. The comedy and character-dynamics of this drama remind me of May it Please the Court; the leads have really great chemistry while still maintaining the bickering couple energy. For those wondering, romance is very minimal in this drama, but the leads are very much soulmates, and I like to imagine they will be romantically-canon at one point in the future (call me delusional but I can definitely feel Liu Liang growing a soft-spot for Xiao Yan). I recommend this drama if you're in the mood for something funny, silly, but still filled with great lessons.

Also I just want to take a moment to talk about this dramas OSTs, because why are both the intro and outro song so GOOD?! Listened to them every single time because they were just that good. I also like to think Always by J.Sheon is how Liu Liang feels for Xiao Yan, even though the lyrics fit Liu Liang and Liang Liang's relationship better LMFAO

However, fair warning, you may become extremely attached to this bunch once the drama is over. It's been a month, and I am currently still suffering from Small & Mighty withdrawal symptoms LOL. I really do hope they make a season 2 <3 I love them all so much

Incredible!!!!

This has to be my all time favorite drama ever, it was so heartwarming and beautiful in many, many ways. I normally watch Korean dramas, but I recently started getting into Japanese dramas because they tend to be shorter so they are easier to watch for me. I saw a new Japanese drama called Unsung Cinderella on MDL’s new dramas selection and decided to check it out. I honestly was not expecting what I received in episode one. It was beautiful touching story about patients at a hospital, and how the hospital's pharmacist team handles those patients. Every episode taught me a new lesson and gave me new insight, and it really made me aware of the things that go on behind-the-scenes in hospitals; it's not only doctors that work hard for the patients. The cast was incredible, and the chemistry was also incredible to see (though there was very minimal romance plots involved, which I didn't mind at all because the drama was amazing even without it). I just finished watching the last episode and I'm honestly so sad, Unsung Cinderella updates would be the highlight of my day but now there won't be any more :((( I would definitely recommend this drama if you enjoy medical dramas, or slice of life/heartwarming dramas, or anything that has to do with friends, family, and passion. Overall, this drama was amazing, I will definitely rewatch it soon :)

really fun

i really enjoyed this drama. the plot was simple yet engaging, and the unique elements including scenery, music, and vibes made it a really fun watch. i enjoyed the scenic shots all throughout, and the cast was also so great, the main leads have a lot of chemistry. being a south asian individual myself, it was nice to see some rep in the little anecdotes regarding India, especially lassi cus I love mango lassi lol

also just read into it and this webdrama was titled "a ticket to india" because the story was originally set in India and the production team was planning on flying out there to film. They had already released the title and plot and such when they were collecting funds for the project, and they even reached their target fund amount. But alas, COVID hit, and they could no longer fly out to India.

Thus, they opted to film on Jeju island, incorporating elements of Indian culture to still stay somewhat on theme. From what I read online, it looks like the team instead stated that they are planning a s2 where they will actually fly out to India, to compensate for not being able to film s1 abroad.

I personally really enjoyed the first season a lot, it was really cute. Would love to see a S2, whether it takes place in India or not, I am SAT.

What would you do if you had 200 days to live?

This drama actually blew me away. The low ratings really scared me at first, I was wholly expecting a hot pile of garbage. But watching the first episode I was entirely and extremely pleasantly surprised. While I must admit the first two episodes were kind of patchy and had a rocky start, the development of the story was certainly something incredible to watch. It is WAYYY more than just about the world ending. It's deeply philosophical, political, emotional, uncomfortably realistic, and eye-opening. The story was so unique and had so many layers, I liked seeing how some of the plotlines ended up intersecting at one point, and how it ultimately always came down to the wellbeing of the innocent souls (children especially) being harmed by selfish and greedy humans.

It reminds me of the short drama Monstrous, where both works reveal that humans are inherently evil, and society is a f*cked up place rid with black souls ready to ensue chaos at any given moment to fulfill their greed for worldly desires. But the main message is that, of course, the consequence of this greed and selfishness will never be good. I enjoyed Sungjae's story the most, because it seemed most of the drama revolved around the church and the support system they created for their community during these trying times. JSW's emotions and gaze during many of his scenes, especially the city hall memorial scene and fasting period scene, WOW, actual chills. Special shoutout to all the main cast because they were all amazing. I was especially excited about this drama ever since it was first announced because all my faves were in the main cast, seongwoo, eunjin, yoonhye, and they CERTAINLY did not disappoint. They were perfect. I have never watched a YAI drama before, and honestly I was fully expecting they would cut him completely out of the drama's footage, but he had many scenes! His character was nice, but nothing that stood out for me, personally. I enjoyed seeing eunjin and ahin together more, they had good chemistry and their love story was really interesting to watch given the context and both of their situations. I LOVED the dynamics between the four friends, they were worked so well together. Obviously I was very excited for a Diary of Prosecutor eunjin x seongwoo reunion, but they barely interacted tbh LOL. Also a ton of bromance between YAI and JSW, so good, really unfortunate that YAI didn't actually get to promote the drama with the gang.

This drama has overall given me very much jdrama vibes, and i guess this makes a lot of sense because it IS based on a Japanese novel. Within the plot there is just a lot of ruminating and reminiscing and enjoying the little moments in life, even amongst a catastrophe like the world ending. But I quite enjoyed that aspect of it. Because, HONESTLY, if we were to face a countdown to the end of the world right now, what else could we do besides just go on with our lives until the end? Maybe create a bucket list and do everything we've always dreamed of? Or maybe panic ration, remaining in denial that the world is not ending? Or maybe do something bad, because the world is ending anyways? This drama showed pretty much all of those aspects of human nature, which I really really loved, because it made the drama and story feel so real. I am highly considering to read the novel this drama was based off.

Overall, I think the MDL rating for Goodbye Earth is way too low, it doesn't deserve such a low rating. I think the YAI scandal just caused a lot of people to start the show with very low-expectations and the fact it was more slice-of-life and slow-paced rather than a thrilling action plot probably gave a lot of people whiplash, leading to the overall low rating. I recommend giving it a chance! It might be your cup of tea if you usually prefer slow-paced plots with more slice of lifey elements rather than fast-paced plots meant to keep you on the edge of your seat. This drama most closely reminded me of a drama I watched recently, the korean drama Live, which is that intersection of slice of life with crime, emotional topics, and thriller. It is certainly NOT everyone's cup of tea.

The only reason I give this drama a 9 rather than a 10 is because while the whole drama was so good, the ending felt a bit vague and I didnt feel like it was quite enough closure for all the characters. It could definitely use a special movie sequel or something, I need more ??? Like I'm actually gonna miss them so bad, I got so attached to the church gang. The scene at the end with the doggy and sungjae was the CHERRY ON TOP, it was for me >>>>>>> also ina lesbian agenda is SO REAL AND TRUE

so amazing

Whoever directed and wrote this story did an amazing job. The filming is beyond beautiful and the story is just very real and amazing. The contrasts between the present and flashbacks were my favorite, and I loved how the story had a strong connection to nature and surroundings. This stage is very similar to the stage "The Reason Not to Confess", but Water Scale is definitely more scenic and whimsical. The leads casting was also great, they did such a good job. all in all a great stage, out of all the drama stages I've watched, this has to be my favorite.

wholesome :’)

this drama was so cutee, i could not get enough of it. an awkward, funny, yet cute romance between a health physician and her fellow colleague. all admist a pandemic, making the show extra relatable and charming. mimis character was very adorable, and mr Lemon was also very sweet haha, although the two seemed like an odd pair at first, they showed amazing chemistry as the drama progressed. the main plot as well as the side plots were all very realistic and heartwarming, i enjoyed everything about it ! my one and only criticism is that it was way too short!! def needed a few more eps T-T
