A pacifying ending for 2gether fans....

So I watched 2gether season 1 while it was being released and obviously it was pretty good. But the last 2 episodes of that season was pretty badly screwed up by an unwelcome misunderstanding and a hasty and less than satisfying resolution. The fans of the show (including me) basically bashed the finale episode pretty bad which is (what I believe to be) the root cause of these 5 special episodes.
The 1st episode is basically a detailed explanation of the events of the finale and give a better resolution of the issue. The other 4 episodes show the relationship development between the various couples.
Sarawat and Tine go through a not so long distance relationship phase (basically living apart in 2 different parts of the same city for 2 weeks). They get to know each others feelings and fear. It also shows them having minor disagreement in their college life which affects their personal lives and how they resolve it. Their chemistry was as usual off the charts.
Man and Type had the 2nd best on-screen chemistry and it's only because they had less scenes together. I feel like if they had more screen time they would have surpassed Sarawatine. They went through the real long distance relationship but they handled it beautifully and their last scene together was heart-warming.
Mil and Phukong had a pretty speedy relationship development (from friends to dating in under 4 episodes) but it didn't feel rushed. I wasn't particularly keen on their relationship but still their ending was pretty satisfactory.
Boss finally got a crush (on Pear from season 1 who I believe Tine was trying to hit on) and confessed to her. His character development was funny and endearing at the same time.
Green and Dim also added a lot of excitement and fun to the story. I've been Green's fan for sometime now and as always I wasn't disappointed. Green's sass, charisma and attitude cannot be surpassed and as he himself said he's the "Iron Lady" and nobody should dare challenge him.
Earn, Frong and Ohm were also a great addition.
The songs in the episodes were also pretty great. The acting was on point and the last episode literally left me swooning.
These special episodes were definitely worth it.

Huge Improvement In Everything From First Season, We Want More Episodes Though!

So it's no secret that I didn't loveeee the first season of "2Gether". I loved the side characters, but the main couple didn't seem to have much chemistry. However, that has completely changed in this one! I don't know if they took more classes together or because the characters have been together for 1 year now they chose to show it more? Either way it worked, so Tine and Sarawat have grown on me.

First of all, the intro sequence they made for this was freaking adorable. Were introduced to the concept being 1 year in, which is an interesting set up. I wasn't sure how well it would go considering this season is only 5 episodes long sadly. I'm sure the network could've pulled for a much longer season 2 but part of me thinks COVID had something to do with it. The budget for this season was clearly increased though because of its popularity, so come on man! Give us a season 3 as well that's longer.

Moving onto the characters. Like I said before Tine and Sarawat grew on me ALOT during this season specifically, they were super sweet and we got an actual KISS at the end. Not 1, but 2 and it was legit. The writers clearly listened to the fans which is awesome! So the chemistry finally snuck its way into the show. I also wanted to ask when Man and Type became so freaking good as a couple? Like they were arguably the best couple of the show from their maturity and contrasting personalities that work as a solid couple. Like Type is super composed, organized and slightly stuck up. Where Man is goofy and expressive in every way, especially in love. Really fun to see them interact! I did want more of Type in this actually though, seeing as he's Tine's older brother and all I would've liked to see more interactions. Phukong and Mil I still don't care about and probably never will lol but that's fine.

Again though, the side characters take the show for me. Green is still my heart and soul, Gun plays him to perfection and every time he was on screen (which was a lot more this season YAY!) I was laughing, grinning like an idiot and loving life. Apparently he be getting it on in the backyard with his boo Dim lol, so that was a development. Him and Dim's relationship in this could've been annoying, but I just found their lovers quarrels hilarious. They clearly love each other so much, but are both just stubborn and outspoken. Though Dim needs to calm down sometimes for real, in the first season he was alittle scary and I worried about how he treated Green. But he was slightly better in this (slightly), though he still needs to figure out how to talk to people (especially his bf) without coming off poorly 95% of the time. Green keeps him in line though so that's a plus! Also I love that Green and Tine are close friends now, its nice going from the first season of avoidance plotlines to now where they work together and hug it out! Overall, I was very happy with this follow up story. It was funny, charming and well-done. The only thing that got on my nerves was the ads in this, they seemed to be somehow even more shoved in our faces lol.

I shall leave this review with a quote from the show that I liked. Also PETITION FOR GREEN TO GET HIS OWN SPINOFF SERIES

"We can't care about everyone all the time, just care about those who care about us."

Should'n't Have Been Made...

I was really excited when this mini-series was announced! 2gether was my gateway drug into the world of BL and will always have a special place in my heart. My expectations for this series was high! However, a part of me felt that I was going to be disappointed, which after watching Episode 1, I unfortunately am. This is what I was worried about; that this mini-series won't be any good... And it wasn't (so far). It felt forced, unnatural and kinda dull to be honest. The charm, the klig, the magic of its predecessor series have disappeared. Even the last several episodes of 2gether were better than the first episode of Still 2gether in my opinion.

I'm not a fan of the desaturated look for this series, which is a stark contrast to the vibrant colors of 2gether, though it is understandable as it was filmed and released during the COVID crisis, which may have caused the production to be limited. Or at least, that's what I'm thinking. Hopefully, they didn't just skip the color grading just to rush-release this series.

The backtracking by providing answers to Sarawat's actions like why he didn't visit Tine in the hospital, or why he let Pam hug him or why he let Mil take Tine to the hospital, is understandable though kinda tasteless in my opinion. What's done is done. Like what Sarawat said in the first episode, "Let bygones be bygones. We shouldn't bring it up." The writers should just improve from there. There's no point backtracking, which seems like a cheap attempt to save face and cover their tracks, especially when the answers were half-assed.

It is directed by Backof, who directed Dark Blue Kiss and my favourite BL (thus far) He's Coming To Me, who is also gay too! However, so far his efforts with this series are lacking. The directing and editing seems a bit too janky and amateurish unfortunately. Probably due to them rushing through production and post-production to get this series out to the public as soon as possible.

The story also didn't make any sense. Tine and Sarawat has been in a relationship for a year yet Tine still gets shocked when he sees Sarawat naked or still refuses to let Sarawat touch his pecs. The other relationships also felt forced and I didn't care for them to be honest. The first episode had so much head-patting and awkward fan service but literally no tender, boyfriend-type affection at all. It actually felt like Tine and Sarawat's chemistry/relationship regressed from being friends in 2gether to being roommates. For some reason, they felt colder and more distant towards one another. On a related note, I wonder if there will be a kiss in this series as the high-five in the finale got SO MUCH HATE!

After the hugely disappointing first episode, Episode 2 was a nice breathe of fresh air that had some semblance of the kilig, charm and cuteness of the original series, 2gether, as Sarawat tries to serenade Tine as they work out the conflicts between their respective clubs. Whereas I could care less about the side couples in the first episode, I actually was quite interested in them in this episode, especially FrankMil. Though the intimacy scenes did still feel a bit forced (as if the series creator wanted to placate the fans), they weren't as blatant as those in the first episode and were quite nice, especially the snack game that a random P'Jennie initiated between WatTine. I'm excited for the next episode now!

Episode 3 was so dull and lifeless. Tine and Sarawat continue to act like roommates, not lovers. Tine being all emotional when Sarawat stayed at a friend's house for two weeks was awkward and cringey. The side couples though are good. The story doesn't make any sense. Why would a cheerleading club be practicing in a room anyways? Didn't they practice outside in season 1? Don't they cheer outside anyways, so what's the point of practicing inside. This series is adding NOTHING to 2gether. In actuality, it's tarnishing the charm of 2gether. Only the relationships of the side couples were interesting though still felt forced.

All in all, this series was kinda bad. It was completely unnecessary as it was boring and the story made no sense. It was nice seeing Sarawat and Tine being more intimate though.

A totally unnecessary 2gether special

You can't help but be disappointed watching this special 5-episode 2gether. It literally adds nothing to the original story itself. Beastly dramas like this fight between clubs, random scenes that don't sound natural but fanservice, repetitions of scenes already seen in the previous story, like Sarawat singing to Tine over and over and the extreme excess of merchandising that has been swallowing Thai dramas today.
The kiss scene, despite being cute, is random, it has no connection with the story, it was basically: "Look here you complained so much that there was no kiss, which I will use to finish the story".
The feeling is that they delivered something dull, in a hurry and without creativity to basically make more $MONEY$, resulting in a very dubious story.

I'm sorry, but I can honestly say that these five episodes didn't really get me excited the way people are in the comments. 2gether the series is still the best out of the two for me. I mean, I get why people are saying that it's better - cause they got the kiss scenes that they were arguing for in the first season as well as chemistry with the actors (although I saw the chemistry with Sarawat and Tine in 2gether the series) and now saying Sarawat and Tine are no longer having a bromance but a relationship.

However, I felt like I was let down story wise as there was no plot. I mean, even in Our Sky, which the director directed one of the five episodes, there were plots for each couple in each episodes. But, here, I really saw none. That's why I had to give the story a five.

The acting is still there amongst the actors so I scored that a 9.5 and the music is stellar so I gave that a 10. As for rewatching it's a 5, cause I can't see myself watching something where I felt there really was no story to only watch the boys kissing at the end.

This is the lowest that I have given this director at 7.5. I hope that his next project I will like more dearly than this.

An Obvious Attempt to Fix the First Season

The story is obviously a damage control to the final act of 2gether. These 5 special episodes did its job. However, the story is still weak and premise is not palpable. 20mins distance in 2 weeks is not that long for Tine to cry out of desperation. I can feel that the actor is over acting this scene, reminiscent of that one time he saw Sarawat with Pam and instantly pour down rivers. The saving grace of the show are the side couples: Man and Type and Phukong and Mil - they're the ones who drives me to finally finish the series after dropping it from episode 3.

the perfect show doesn’t necessarily have angst or complicated characters or story

A WHOLE PACKAGE OF SWEETNESS HEARTWARMING ADORABLE CHARACTERS AND STORY AND YOU DARE TO GIVE BAD REVIEWS ???? FOR WHAT??? LIKE WHY ???? PEOPLE NEED THIS KIND OF SERIES TO DISTRACT. THEM FROM REALITY DONT DO THIS !!! THE EXPERIENCE YOU WILL LOSE IF YOU BELEIVE THEM IM ACTUALLY MAD CAUSE IF NOT10/10 , 9/10 IS FAIR ENOUGH !! NOT BIASED OR ANYTHING BUT THE WAY SOME OF YOU TREAT THIS SHOW IS SO MUCH , watch it for the sake of healing purpose and think again .
I believe this special episodes were done to award the fans but even non fans would enjoy it.
Its a slice of life so the major plot was not placed they just went for characters development and how life work love affect them
the charms of 2gether is there too and even better with the directing and cinematography to the chemistry between the couples/friends/club members is 100/100 for me .
Rewatching the series is fun also like you got butterflies with every scene no matter how many times you have already watched
now I hope for more im really greedy xD

I hate it :D

This series has been a disappointment to be completely honest with you. You can tell because they messed up 2gether and they needed to fix it. Don't get me wrong, this is a very an ok series but it lacks so much. The side character for me personally just kinda made everything a little more.... ugh? I felt like the whole thing was kinda cringy to watch. Bright and Win have chemistry, everyone can see that and I do really believe they did really good in the series. But for me it's the side character who kinda ruined it for me. I don't know what it is about them.

The kiss scene was totally random, which brings me to believe they added it last minute because of the outcry of people wanting a kiss scene in 2gether. It was a lovely scene, but very weird and random, no build up or anything and just awkward for me to watch.

The biggest thing was the lack of a story and character growth. They (Tine and Sarawat) were supposed to be in a relationship for a year, but still are so very awkward around each other. Awkward head patting and more. It was just not done well. I think the Director just wanted the series to get out as soon as possible because of the backlash.

Overall, this series was just a giant fanservice for the fetish people or whatever they are, the ones who only watch BL for the weird stuff, the kiss scenes and whatnot. Not something I would watch again, and wouldn't have watched to be honest with you for not my own curiosity.

Shouldn't have been made

I was actually stopped watching at 2, and came back because people talking that the last two episode is very good and the the main couple finally kissed. So i spesifically watched the last clip ep 5 4/4 for the kiss. Lucky, I didn't watch the entire episode. For a kiss that people has been asking for so long, it felt weird because it was so sudden.
It would have been better if they don't make a one year time jump. Everything will get likely pretty logical.
The acting, i dont know. I find it funny when i see Tine and his friend (which i forget their name) get drunk on their last clip. Especially the least talkative guy.
The music is the only thing that constantly good.

Overall, if you aren't a huge fan of BrightWin. Just forget that this special episode ever exists.

A bigger budget than its predecessor but at the cost of little-to-no story or personality

2gether was the first BL series that I ever watched. It has a very special place in my heart and even while objectively better BLs have since aired (Bad Buddy, for example), I still consider 2gether as one of my favorites. Despite its jarring editing, and sometimes evidently low production value, it's my comfort show. I've rewatched it more times than I can count. Unfortunately, I don't share the same amount of love with this collection of special episodes.

While I do appreciate the special episodes for showing us how much healthier Sarawat and Tine's relationship grew to be, it isn't enough to justify its existence. For one, there's barely a plot. The conflict between the music club and the cheerleading team is miniscule. It's much more fitting as a storyline for a single episode rather than an entire arc.

But honestly, my biggest gripe with the special episodes is that Tine loses his entire personality from the series. In 2gether, his head is always in the clouds. He spends so much time daydreaming that he could barely process his own emotions without talking them through with his friends. He overthinks everything and is honestly kind of dumb, but in a very adorable way that's not overt. In Still 2gether, his entire personality is just being Sarawat's cute (and sometimes whiny) boyfriend. It's clear that the writers wanted everyone to squeal over how cute they think Sarawat is as a boyfriend, therefore, Tine's entire personality is sacrificed. His purpose in Still 2gether is just to tease his handsome boyfriend so that cute moments can come out of it. So many of their interactions don't feel right to me because Tine is a completely different character.

That said, I thought that the subplots with the side couples were just as enjoyable in these special episodes as they were in the series. And the final scene does manage to hit me right in my feels on the rare occasion that I do rewatch.

Cute, But A One Time Thing.

For me Still 2gether was such a cute addition to 2gether, I see others dislike this serie due to the "bromance," in my opinion, I feel as if they may be focused on simply the fact that there is no sex. I understand there are some things they could work on but personally I loved watching Still 2gether and 2gether, I could see the emotional love and care between them without it being physical. 2gether is a show I would rewatch. But on the honest side I would not rewatch this, not because it's bad but because I feel like it's a one time thing. Cute side stories with not much importance, but still nice to watch. Still 2gether isn't bad, but I wouldn't say it's an obligation to watch it after finishing 2gether. (I also loved the cast and side ships!)

you can't get in a bad mood when watching this

For the first season I wasn't really buying the relationship. Then this season came out and my god. I loved everything the two leads two had to offer. This show isn't spectacular, but it's lighthearted and fun, it isn't emotionally draining. Sarawat and Tine really do love each other and are wholesome with all the gestures they make to reach out to one another. Compared to the first season the relationship progressed perfectly. Their love isn't fet*shized, it's honestly adorable. It was a slice of life and not too gripping, I'm not complaining though because I didn't expect that.

This show is short and an easy watch that's worth your time. It isn't confusing and the relationship between the two leads is healthy and something I want to see more of. I would call this show more of a romcom than a BL, GMM is really doing good these day with their boys love shows in representing healthy and realistic relationships between two people regardless of s*x. Sarawate and his little Tine are OTP, they get my stamp of approval and I'm sad to think that we won't see more of them. What content we got was so wholesome and enjoyable, if you watch this you won't regret it.
