The kind of BL that I like

I'm so tired of discussing why I love this to haters who only know how to hate it. Well, I can't blame them it's not perfect. My score is around 8.5 But I want to give this perfect score to counter those unfair reviews with too low scores like 2 or 1. I really think they're retarded lol.

Lets go back to the 5 eps series. The first 3 was not that good. Those episodes are for story buildup and to fix the issues with the season 1 which is for me, a little meh. But... On ep 4 the couples started to shine. Everything feels good it's like the first time I watched the few episodes of season 1. It was well directed and the chemistry of all couples are flourishing. Thank you directorkrub I guess. Then, episode 5. The episode that I never know I needed. That last kiss from wat and tine is what my heart yearning for all this time andnI feel more complete now. Hope to see them again in other series.

Expanded Season 1

As everyone knows, this 5-part special was more or less an expanded season 1 most likely to appease fans from how the actual season ended (also because of COVID-19).

If it wasn't obvious from the main series, the pushing factor that made Tine and Sarawat get together was because of Dim's and Green's relationship problems. In this special, DimGreen was the cause for SarawatTine's action as well (directly and indirectly). I was genuinely worried about how production was going to insert a problem and resolve it within 5 episodes but most, if not all, of the problems introduced were resolved within the same episode. The only exception to this was the DimGreen problems which were the overarching issues.

Without a doubt, the acting from everyone was outstanding (even from the original series). A definite improvement from everyone. Gus definitely has a natural knack for expressions and it's something I truly enjoyed when it came to expressing himself as Green. I don't know about others, but for me, everyone during this special became inexplicable better looking. Like JJ and Khaotung really exuded handsomeness. Win's cheeks were so adorable here that I couldn't stop squealing about them.

As for the music, it's understandable why Scrubb songs were used again since they were the basis plotline for 2gether. Giving Win his own OST for the finale was an amazing choice. I know he's shy when it comes to singing but his voice is so soft and beautiful that I'm happy he willingly recorded a song; his first recorded song.

I don't know if I'll ever re-watch this or not because I tend not re-watch series/dramas that much anymore, but it may happen when I'm feeling like enough time has passed.

I'm thoroughly happy with the way everything was resolved, despite everything technically resolving at the end of 2gether, and expanded to give full closure to all the couples, or listed couples. The expanded story-lines for the side couples were definitely nice additions especially Mil and Phukong.

With the way this special ended, I can say for certain that a 2nd season is not needed, however, it could never hurt for more (if that ever happens, please name the series like Old 2gether, 2gether 4ever, or something along the lines).

With that being said, I'm thoroughly happy I could enjoy this series while it was airing and have the hype like everyone else compared to me watching series that have ended a few months to a year later and the hype is no longer there.

Satisfying

With how the original series ended so poorly in my opinion with useless drama, even though everything before the final episodes had so much potential, this special five episode bonus absolutely fixed everything. It was really just fan service, but it was exactly what I needed to feel satisfied with this show. It was a ton of fluff, but that is exactly what I wanted!

A lot of people have issues with the lack of physical affection, which I really don't understand. Are all of you just so used to other BLs being extremely intimate and feel unsatisfied with this one? Do you just want your fantasy fulfilled? Because it sounds like that from a lot of what I've see. Because this story doesn't NEED to have that affection to get the love across—it shows affection with how the characters look at each other, the words they speak to each other, as well as the head-patting and other cute little things. Characters don't need to heavily make out to show that they care, of course I'd understand why some prefer that or wanted that from this show. I also like seeing such things, but I didn't need it from this show and the previous series. I think it's harder to showcase love if you have characters be less intimate, so if you can pull off showcasing it without it, then that just proves how well the characters feel for each other even more, in my opinion, and this show did that.

I don't think Bright and Win were awkward with each other at all. In fact, I really love how Tine is the shy one who still gets flustered and Sarawat just has heart eyes for him 24/7. Even though it's meant to be a year after dating, and some are like "Oh, no, a couple wouldn't be so shy after a year," I think you should take into consideration that both Tine and Sarawat are each boyfriends for the first time (to other guys), and that Tine is generally shy when it comes to him. A year really isn't that long. Not everyone rushes into a relationship and is suddenly super confident and comfortable with their significant other. Tine is so clearly in love with Sarawat and vice versa. I felt that. It's also alluded they are close to each other, except it's just not shown on screen due to the channel that the show is on. They live together, come on now.

Anyways, I actually didn't care at all for the side romantic relationships in the original series, but I absolutely adored Man and Type in this one. I think their dynamic is so beautiful, with Man being an absolute cinnamon roll and Type being more serious but clearly loving Man perhaps even more than Man does Type compared to the original series. Their shower scene was so beautifully domestic and it's one of my favorite scenes from the entire series. Personally, I think Toptap is the best actor on this show. His acting is really top notch compared to everyone else. He acts with his face and eyes, and I could really feel what his character was feeling with every expression. Props to him.

Best BL(Y Series)

Still2gether might not talk about LGBT too much, because Thailand is more advance country,we gonna have legal marriage,we have many right for gay in Thailand, So many show in Thailand are more advance for next year, next 2 year, gay can be like a straight people, no secret,no hide

we can talk loving with other guy in the public,on the stage, touch in the public to show proud, straight people can do it, so gay can do it like a straight people do also, front of a lot of people,So we are gay, we must proud for love, don't hide love when love other guy

So 2gether show these thing and cheesy ,cute moment,to make people happy with loving of gay to show it in the public in front of a lot of people,So we are gay, we must proud for love, don't hide love when love other guy(Not only love in gay bar or private room)

and It's not incredible, this season can make good film among covid situation

Didn’t even bother to finish, waste of time...

Boring, unrealistic and no chemistry between the two lead actors. Acting is not convincing. Toptap and Mike are a lot better. The Storyline is shallow. I’ve seen the season 1 but I was disappointed with the ending. Now this one, they maybe trying to make up with the terrible ending of season 1, but this season is even worst. I have rewatched a lot of Thai BL series but this one, I will not going to and I didn’t even bother to finish it, just a waste of time. Hopefully they won’t have season 3.

It's a fun and lighthearted special from the 2gether the series..

I actually enjoyed watching this special from the 2gether the series. Its cute, funny and sweet moments from all of the characters in the show will make you smile. To be honest, I actually prefer this special than its first season.

In the first season, the chemistry between Tine and Sarawat was a bit lacking for me like some scenes were a bit monotonous while some were good. However, here in this special, we get to see how their relationship progressed after a year. I can definitely say that their relationship is now mature and I love how Tine and Sarawat talk about the things that bothers them which is really important in a relationship : communication. Props for the writer, producer or director for making Tine and Sarawat's relationship wholesome and realistic here.

Another thing that I love from this special episodes is that we also see some of the sweet scenes from the other side couples. It's cute and short but personally, it would've been better if they got their own series in which they are the focus on the show because we could have seen the development of their relationships. Other than that, props for their supporting roles in the special.

The production as well as the acting of the characters have also improved. The portrayal of the actors of their characters expressions are a bit more natural than the first season so yeah.. great improvement. The soundtracks used are the same with the first season which are a plus because the OSTs from this series are one of my faves.

In conclusion, this special is a continuation of the 2gether the series. If you're looking to see Tine and Sarawat's relationship after a year, you might as well try to add this on your watch list. It's a fluffly and short special which will definitely make you smile with only 5 episodes... So yeah, Enjoy watching... :)

P.S. I forgot to mention this in my review of the 2gether the series. I'm actually glad that they toned down the screaming fanatics or whatever you call those screaming fans of Sarawat in this special. To be honest, it was borderline cringy, annoying, weird, overdramatic and unrealistic for me.

The simple ending to 2gether that should have been from the beginning

NO-SPOILER REVIEW

These 5 additional episodes are essentially the epilogue to 2gether the Series, but in reality, these episodes should have just been part of the ending of the original series from the beginning. There were some contentious points at the end of 2gether that these episodes tried to resolve after the fact. There's nothing really groundbreaking here in terms of story or character development, but it's nice to get some more time with the cast and resolve some old loose ends.

Pros
- These episodes were a simple way for fans to enjoy the original cast especially after the way 2gether ended things.
- Fans finally got some resolution on certain points :)
- Just like in 2gether, there's a great OST.

Cons
- Some plot points felt a little forced and others were all out retcons from 2gether.
- Nothing really that exciting or revolutionary here.

Overall
- Worth watching after finishing 2gether the Series. Probably best to watch it right away and consider them all one unit.

As Ciara Once Said "Level Up"

Okay, 2gether was the very first BL drama I watched, because I saw a blogger tweet about it. I still think it was a good way to start off delving into this fandom, wouldn't have had it any other way. While I agree, the whole premise of 2gether was rather cheesy and sappy, I think seeing a sappy and sugar-coated gay romance is rare, especially in the mainstream - considering how popular 2gether quickly became which was good but yes, the last few episodes of 2gether genuinely felt like they were stretching out the story way too much! There's a saying in my "mother-tongue": "Adding extra water and fertilizer, unnecessarily, even though your plant is growing fine!" and of course the lack of comfortableness between all the couples - except, strangely enough ManType, wherein one half of the couple is literally the representation of a tsundere (maybe it was Mike and TopTap's experience in dramas).
But, Still 2gether? Genuinely felt like a breath of fresh air! Sarawat seems more relaxed while still somehow maintaining his "ice cool" demeanor. You could see the potential that Bright had and that he could offer to Sarawat's character in Ep11 of the first part. HE channels THAT energy into this second half much to many viewers' joy (including mine)! And on Win's behalf, what do I even say he's a gem. He carried the latter half of the first part and now, he seems to have eased into Tine's character. Those two were enough to actually encourage me to watch the second part. But here in the second part, much to my enthusiasm, we got to see the other couples develop too! Especially, the resident domestic couple of ManType. And Phukong FINALLY got to be, dare I say, "2gether", with Mil. Each character got a refreshing turn in personality and interactions seem more lively and natural. Of course, it is flawed and cheesy, but it's meant to be a touch-and-go lighthearted romance. The novel itself was written a bit apprehensive and strange from what I have read of it, so seeing that they decided to make their own continuation I commend GMMTV for actually writing a good sequel.
And of course, I normally don't like to go into talking about kisses but I am glad we got to see Sarawatine behave more like the boyfriends they are supposed to be, the level of care and intimacy increased and seemed natural, so I am glad. While it isn't what you would want if you want a story-heavy, intense, plot-driven show - it is a great choice if you want something light-hearted. The characters have become very memorable mostly because of this follow up and that's why it gets a higher rewatch value from me. The drop in others is mainly because of the cliches and stereotypes, or certain lackluster moments but even those were rare in this second part.
I would definitely recommend watching the second part once you are done with the first. Don't lose hope with the strange ending in S1!!! Watch Still 2gether :)

I feel in love with BL because of this

I have loved this right from 2gether to this one and most say i loved every single moment of it. I have rewatched the series too many times that i can count and loving it still. Favorite iconic scenes for me:
Snack games between Wat & Tine
When Tine agreed to be Wat’s boyfriend
When they moved in together both times
When Wat gets on the stage to sing
When they watched the Scrubb concert together
Wat’s teasing Tine’
Wat being the make-up cleaner and telling the makeup artist to leave Tine’s face
When Wat confessed finally to Tine after leaving Mil
Wat telling Tine on the phone how he would miss him and talking about how Tine behaves and Tine behaved same way on the background.

So many scenes. Reason why i didn’t give this a 10/10 was i would have loved to see Tine give more in terms of love to Wat. Wat was the one with the show of love. Only time i really got the sense that Tine loved Wat was when Wat was away practicing at P’Dim’s and could not leave and Tine confessed how he missed Wat not knowing Wat was there and also at the end when he played for Wat and really allowed the kiss to happen. Else it was more Wat all the time.

The series for me is sweet from start to finish and should not be compared to the WHY R U, TharnType’s of this world because their’s was sweet love and not intense.

Resolves The Problems of the Original Series

The original "2gether" series is one of the better BL dramas. It's got the best looking collection of actors and mostly plausible storylines. But the first series played down the romantic elements so much that our main characters, Tine & Sarawat barely get beyond a straight bromance. And the much promised "Kiss until you drop" is never delivered. A new director was brought in for "Still 2gether" and the results are much improved. Tine & Sarawat still never reach the romantic gold standard set by Tutor (Saint) and Fighter (Zee Pruk) in the "Why R U?" series but we do get to see a nice kissing scene in the final act. I'll defer to the producers of BL dramas who know their audience better than me, but I do find it odd that they'll steer clear of anything that gets too "gay" while, at the same time, embracing tired gay stereotypes like calling a partner a "wife" or "wifey" and introducing over-the-top, girly-acting characters -- presumably for cheap laughs. This undermines the normalizing of same-sex partnerships. The highlight of this series is Win Metawin's touching performance when his character, Tine, sits alone by the pool, missing his traveling boyfriend and talking to a doll with the likeness of Sarawat. Up to this point, I've never been convinced that Tine, who was introduced as decidedly heterosexual, had bought into a same-sex relationship. (Sarawat clearly liked boys at the onset). So this was a much-needed resolution to that issue. This is Win's first major role. Blessedly, the sequel is only 5 episodes and it nicely resolves most of the loose ends of the original series without padding the drama out to 13 hours. I like these characters. It would be interesting to wait about 5 years for another visit and maybe, by then, the audience (and the actors) will be a little more accepting of the kind of intimacy we've seen in "Why RU?"

Still Together, Still Great!

I absolutely loved the first season of 2gether and when I heard they made special episodes I was thrilled! I think these five episodes showed why I fell in love with the series and the characters. Tine and Sarawat were cute and adorable as always, and really loved the development in their relationship. It was great to see them apart, and the emotions that went through in both of them while being apart. Their scenes were sweet and cute, and I'm always weak for Wat's smile for Tine hahah.

These episodes really made me grow to the side characters as well, that I didn't in the first series. I also think Green was a lot more likeable, a savage queen, in this! I wish we had gotten more of this Green in first season (I think I started to like him more the minute he stopped obsessing over Tine lol). I think Green and Dim were a fun couple to watch even I wasn't completely sure if they really belonged together. Man and Type were really cute and great that even they had troubles with the long distance relationship, they worked it out. I also wished we'd gotten more scenes with Sarawat and Phukong and their brotherly relationship that was barely showed.

Overall, great special series! I really wished there were more episodes than this, because just as I fell in love with the series again the episodes ended. Hoping for more! Definitely will be rewatching from the start.

Can't Wait to Watch Again

A beautiful way to cap off everyone's story. I loved that we got so many different gay couples in this series. I love that the side characters had tome for things to develop for them. Too often I wish more was going on for the characters around the main character. To see fuller lives and here not only does that happen but it feels significant. It's lovely to see the parallel between the couples as they take on different challenges.

Also, we finally get more of the on-screen touch. Plus a kiss between the two main characters here and while I loved the romantic and cheesy moments between the two it was nice to see something more physical as well. I needed it.

I loved this series so much. I just know I will be back to rewatch it many times.
