Simply a better series

Because it was obviously made with the criticism the first series got in mind, Still 2gether is a better show in every way. We catch up with Tine and Wat one the next year (as previewed in the last episode on the first series). That’s a smart move because it gives the show some leeway for making changes without jumping too far ahead.
That small jump specially benefits Mil and Phukong. I was not the biggest fan of their story progression in 2gether because it seemed to forced in the end. Jumping a few months ahead we can see them more comfortable without it being too unreadable for them to not have labeled their relationship or maybe have kissed (?) yet. On the other hand, Type and Man moved, literally, pretty fast. It was nice to finally see them being together and happy. I was surprised with the amount of Green and Dim we got, but I actually made me appreciate both of them a bit more.

Now, on Wat and Tine. I’m glad we got to see them having a nice and normal relationship. I was worried that we show would force conflict and fights when the clubs were are odds. But they managed to keep things separate between work and home life. I also think that Bright and Win are better as Wat and Tine, which made me believe more on the romance between their characters. But I still don’t really feel romantic chemistry. The last scene, between just the two of them, was the only real truly full on BL romantic scene we got from them.

The fact that a group of students managed to skip 2 whole weeks of classes proves that no one goes to that university to study.

Mike and Gunsmile together are the best scene partners in the show.

Slightly better, but not by much

This was fairly obviously an attempt by the production team to fix the problems that caused the barrage of complaints about 2gether. It was a good try, but it still didn't fix everything.

I don't believe these two are a couple. I know they love each other, miss each other and are happy with each other, and they definitely communicate with each other better than some couples in BL I've seen, but they are still two of the most chaste young men I've ever seen on screen.

Someone tell Sarawat that "I'll kiss you til you moan" implies actually kissing. This series, like the last, has exactly one kiss between Tine and Sarawat and, whilst it's better than the one from the first series, it's still not exactly filled with passion.

I know this, and 2gether, were made at an awkward time. The pandemic has f*ck%d everything, but I've seen other BL made during the same time period that manage to have more than just one awkward kiss. And some were made in Thailand, even.

I really, really wish that production companies would stop hiring actors who won't commit to the roles, and that actors wouldn't take roles they know they aren't going to be able to fully commit to and aren't comfortable in.

Because it's clear that's what's happened here. Bright clearly doesn't want to be kissing Win. Win seems a little more comfortable with it, and I suspect he'd probably be better if he wasn't acting with Bright but that's what he's got to work with.

I did like this better than 2gether, and I enjoyed seeing more of Phukong and Mil and them having an actual relationship. Green and Dim were very funny and sweet together, even when they were arguing and Type and Man made a lot of strides in their relationship and had several mature and honest talks which impressed me.

This has slightly more rewatch value than the first series and it's worth a watch if you haven't yet.

All in all, not a bad series.

I am less impressed with Still 2gether than I was with the original series. Season 2 feels a really forced many times, and we are supposed to believe a couple who never once says “I love you” is so madly in love they both are depressed when they are apart for two weeks. I’m ok with an innocent relationship that is still trying to figure itself out, but that’s not exactly what the script implies. There is the “let’s shower together” and the infamous “kiss you till you drop” with no actual intimacy until the very last after credit scene. The other couples in the series had more contact than our lead couple which was just odd and confusing to me. At least Bright and Win are both attractive so they are still fun to watch, but the storyline definitely didn’t wrap things up as neatly as they were obviously going for. And I’m still really confused as to why their characters weren’t reversed. We finally really get to hear Win sing and play guitar at the end of the series, and he’s REALLY good. Like, way better than Bright (not knocking Bright, just being real). Would I re-watch this one? Probably not, but that’s just me.

Worth for the Secondary Pairings

I’ve made my peace with the fact that I’ll never understand nor join the Br@ghtWin/S@rawaTine hype and that it’s okay, to each their own. Luckily, the secondary pairings saved this drama for me: ManType, DimGreen, MilPhukong and even BossPear.

I think my favorite pairing was ManType because Man turned out to be the bestest boyfriend who ever lived and I loved that. He was so happy for and supportive of Type when Type got his promotion even though it meant for Type to move way way away. He was all, “It’s okay, do your thing, once I’m done with school, I’ll follow you.” And for that he deserved an award!

My favorite moment was when Sarawat found out that Mil was dating Phukong. That was absolutely, positively, belly-achingly hilarious. His reaction to it - and to the fact that both Boss and Man knew! I laughed so hard!

I loved that the secondary pairings were each so different and their stories so interesting. Even Boss & Pear’s and that’s saying something because hetero ships in BL stories are hit-n-miss for me. Thumbs up!

DON'T WATCH THIS IF YOU'RE A BL FAN

Where do I start......? Season 1 was better then this because we were clueless to what was going on. As I said the cast are hot I won't deny that. Once the innocence is shed off you know what to expect this is most definitely a disappointment. This said from a person who watched 2Moons the series and What the Duck series? @moon was even better than this and that came out 2017.If this series air in 2002 it might have suited then. But we're in 2020 this is not China where they have BL censorship. For Pete's sake this is Thailand the powerhouse of BL drama's and what the f**k is this!!
I hated What the Duck series for it WTF ending but this.... this just takes the cake for total disappointment. If you are a BL fan for as long as I have been you total understand my frustration. This series was a low key frustration because last year it aired together with other BL series. We had Why are You? My Engineer so I was watching 3 BL series at the same time so I didn't notice how wierd the series was then I saw P'Jeaenie supporting this series in her show then I was like it's gotta be ok.....right.... WRONG!! Then I saw that she is in Sn2. Ohh damn this is gonna be a clusterfuck. Still mad at her btw.
This series didn't have any storyline apart from playing mediocre guitar and bad singing.
I am being very critical maybe even to much but in comparison to some of the other BL series this one just doesn't cut it at all because it lacks the undeniable chemistry, passion and love between the Sarawat and Tine. They looked more like distant relative acting nice in public.
Last we complained about the freaking high5 now that it ended with a head pat and an awkward side hug what are we gonna say now??
One sentence.
They should never make a series like this again... Like never ever.
One more thing the hype of the series was way bigger then the reality of it.

Still 2gether slaps hard

The special was a so sweet and simple, nothing too extra and thats why i loved it. Personally if you liked 2gethter then you know the last 2 episodes weren't it but this special covered up for that and Amazingly at that. The ost was cute and honestly this show is just gonna leave you wanting the best for them. HOPEFULLY they make a seasons 2 but if they dont then thats fine. I'd like to see Win and bright in other shows especially Win since he can Act (so can bright) ,so yeah i loved the special.

Take it as a better way to end Season 1

This is rather hard to review. If I see Still 2gether as a separate season, it has little to offer. The plot in Season 1 wasn't strikingly original, but there was a rather fine story. The plot is much thinner in Season 2. Depending on how much of a cynic you are, you can either say that it is to reward fans of 2gether or it is to milk fans. Whatever you think it is, Still 2gether is largely for fans of Season 1 and is unlikely to win over more fans or the rather harsh haters of Season 1.

However, I can't say I'm disappointed. Season 2 actually makes up for some of the missteps in Season 1, with the first Episode filling in some gaps and clarifying the plot in Season 1 (such as by revealing that Sarawat actually stayed by Tine's side in the hospital, but Tine wasn't aware of it). Having watched on 4 episodes out of 5 so far, I believe it also ends the 2gether story more solidly than Season 1. What this means for me is that Season 1 and 2 should actually be taken as one season. (Ok, I know I'm the one who keeps calling them Season 1 and 2 in the first place, but I suspect it's what people may be expecting.) In fact, if Season 1 had continued and ended with Episode 4 of Season 2, it would have been a great ending compared to the original ending of Season 1.

[Edit: In fact, after watching Episode 5 of Season 2, which is the final episode, I still find Episode 4 a better ending. Episode 5 is really more for the other couples and for the Sarawat/Tine kiss right at the end, something which some viewers seem to see as really important. I kind of guessed that the kiss has been deliberately left to the very end thanks to all the teasing, but it didn't do wonders for me. I like the way Episode 4 ends more. Also, somehow, whereas Episode 4 is brimming with sweetness without giving a sense of finality, Episode 5 gives such a proper ending that it seems to be telling me, "That's all. There won't be any more seasons." This saddens me because there's actually more potential for the story to be developed.]

Still 2gether is a nice addition that tries tor improve on (or salvage, some might say) 2gether, and it kind of succeeds in that regard. But this also means that Still 2gether perhaps does not need to have 5 episodes, perhaps not even 4. (I'm not complaining though. Sarawat and Tine are amongst my favorite BL couples and I don't mind just watching them being loving. lol)

Because of the rather weak story, the way Sarawat and Tine miss each other borders on absurdity despite being sweet. It would have been more convincing if one of them had to go overseas for a semester due to an exchange program or something, but Sarawat merely goes away (somewhere in Thailand that' maybe an hour's trip away) for a few days, and Tine is crying.

I love Sarawat and Tine, and I want a real Season 2 (call it Season 3 if you want). Still 2gether is like a nice cake to wrap up the main course of 2gether--the cake is sweet enough even though it could have done away with some excess cream. If I had to choose between the dessert and waiting a longer time before another satisfying meal, I would choose the latter. (Though if I could have both, why not? Just don't tell me that the cake is actually my next meal, please.)

Still 2gether is filler and boring

I watch 2gether the series during lockdown. I excited to watch it because of the actors are cute. It quite a good story at the beginning.

I was totally yawn watching the still 2gether bonus track. I unable to finish all the 5 episodes. Because it was too boring. Not interesting. Sarawat expression is so lame and unemotional.

They only sell their handsome face, that's why the series got so many viewers on youtube.

I would not recommend this series for those who did not yet watch this. There alot new bl series worth to watch than this.

I recommend you to watch I told the sunset about you, Dark blue kiss. etc.

Thumbs Up

Loved it! From beginning to end it presented each couple and wrapped things up nicely. I’m glad it was only five episodes. No intrusive third parties. I really like how they handled the relationships between the gay couples and their heterosexual friends. I also found the appearance of the “dark skinned” actress to be very positive. I’ve seen her in other works and I have not found her to be negative or demeaning. Overall I really enjoyed. The music was okay and I could see the actors seemed more comfortable in their roles.

FLUFF BUT STILL ADORABLE

Not much happens here that didn't happen in the first season. At times it feels like they just shortened that season and made a few minor adjustments so it appeared new - but wasn't. Still, it's entirely enjoyable. One of the best produced and acted series out there. I wish the script was better (It's not BAD, just not original). But honestly, guys, another soccer match where a player gets injured and a cheerleader collapses? If this was 10 years later you might say it's an homage to the original. Here it's just lazy. Even the (thankfully very short) storyline where Tine is "learning" guitar is taken from the original.

When the biggest conflict you can come up with is a couple being physically apart for 2 weeks (not because of an argument, but just for logistical reasons),then you're really not trying very hard. Yet somehow, Bright and Win make you feel this separation is somehow heartbreaking. Their relationship is so sweet, so tender, so thoughtful. They are the boyfriends everyone would hope for.

I know that music is a huge part of this storyline, but there were a few too many songs in these five episodes for me. Another easy way for the writers to have characters express emotions without having to actually come up with a story and dialogue that would require them to do so. Let's just have them recite someone else's lyrics.

This cast, most notably the MC are so good. Bright and Win have such incredible chemistry. I would watch them together in anything. They seem so comfortable, natural, and real. No emotion is forced. While I personally have issues with some of the familiar BL tropes (a couple that have lived together for a year and yet only ONCE said they "like" each other???, very little hand holding, even less kissing), there is such warmth and affection between these two actors and their characters that each scene is so heartfelt you get all the emotions needed for a fulfilling and satisfying romance. All of the side couples and friends are equally strong. It's a testament to the director that he can coax good performances out of actors I normally think are not that strong. Kudos to all.

I must, however, call out another trope that always annoys me. Flashbacks to previous scenes. This mini-series if chock full of them. Many of them are from S1, so I ALMOST forgive them. It may have been a while since we watched those eps, so a quick reminder is ok. But they also include flashbacks to episodes from within S2, and on at least 2 occasions the flashbacks are from the previous scene. We just watched it 2 minutes ago. We don't need to be reminded of what happened. Especially with these actors who can convey the emotions so well. Just a look from Tine tells me he's thinking about Wat. I don't need the flashback to hammer it home. Do you really think your audience is that dim?

All in all, nothing so compelling that you should put this on top of your list, but if you've watched S1, these 5 quick episodes are a light distraction that you can get through relatively quickly. I don't know if I'll watch all 5 eps again, but if I ever need a quick fix, there are moments in each of the eps that really warm my heart, so when I feel the need for a best-boyfriend-ever moment, I can call up any ep and be totally satisfied. Enjoy.

If yoi haven't watched it, what are you waiting for ?!?

After 2gether ended i was sad that we wouldn't see SarawatTine again, BUT then still 2gether was announced and i couldnt be any happier. 2gether was amazing !!! I know some were disappointed with the ending BUT just because the LAST TWO episodes weren't what everyone wanted it doesn't mean the whole series should be dragged down! anyways on with the review !!!!

Story:
I lovedddd ittt. The story focused on Wat and Tine now that they had to work and had less time to spend with each other. I really liked it cause it isn't like other series where you dont even see. the characters go to class. Also we see how Man and Type develop their relationship. Man is still in college while Type is working already. Also the trust that couples should have especially after Type and Man beging a long distance relationship. Also Phukong and Mil finally get together and its absolutely adorable. I think they could have done a bit more with their couple but i loved them anywayss. Also BossPear was such a pluss. I like that they include this couple. EVERY SINGLE COUPLE HAD SO MUCH CHEMISTRY. Their were so manyyy cute moments. I was literally jumping around the room screaming because it was so adorable. And im telling you, i DID NOT expect that ManType kiss. I literally fell of my bed and replayed it like a million times. And when Wat and Tine kissed i actually thought they weren't. You know how to sometimes it looks like they're gonna kiss but someone interrupts. I REALLY thought that was going to happen. But then the music started playing and my jaw dropped to the FLOOR. I can tell you i made noises that should not be made by a human. I paused it, breathed in deeply, put play, watched 1 second and pause it again. Then i let it all play while squealing. AND WE ALL KNOW WHAT SARAWAT SAID AFTER THAT. i had to go back to make sure i didn't read the captions wrong. Then we all know what sarawat did. AND ON THE COUCH. AND THE GUITAR. and the ending with the sticky notes i started crying my eyes outttttt. SO OBVIOUSLY THE STORY WAS AMAZING.

Acting/Cast:
The whole cast was amazing. i swear BrightWin are the best ones to play these roles. Their chemistry is amazing and everyone knows that A LOT of the scenes were improvised. Like the head pay was never in the script. And neither were the Kisses.
So obviously that made it more natural. The whole cast was already a family because they had gotten close in 2gether. Mike and Toptap even though they hadn't been paired together before their chemistry was so cuteee. Drake and Frank have been in other series and i still feel like they could have done more with the couple but still they still acted together so well. Aj, Khaoutong, Love, Film, Gunsmile and all the other actors did so well in this series. They deserve as much attention as the main couples. Also for this to be part of Win's first project he did incredible. And Bright finally got that main role after working so hard. Either way they deserve all the attention and all the love they are getting. They are best couple. (You don't have to agree with me. This is MY opinion)
ANYWAY 10/10 FOR THE CAST.

Music:
im literally in love with SCRUBB. All the songs go well with the actual theme of the story. Also still together by BrightWin. I l o v e it. And, and, and, and That Person Must Be You fits perfectly with their story. Thats all. Scrubb is perfect. BrightWin are perfect. Thats it.

Rewatch value:
I have watched every episode at least 100 times.

Overall:
Watch it. Its perfect. (Again MY opinion) This series was the best thing that has ever happened. Especially during these times. I waited a week for the next episode to come out. Thats what kept me motivated to keep going.

Anyway make sure to support BrightWin in all their projects !!!! Hope everyone has a BRIGHT and WINning Day !!!!

This was GOOD! I'm so happy they made this special. I always thought Bright and Win had good chemistry and it really shined through in this special. The special really outshines the entirety of season 1. There were a lot of complaints that the chemistry fizzled out towards the end of season one, which is true, but I just want to say that shows and movies are not shot in chronological order so the awkwardness that seemed out of place for the storyline may actually have stemmed from them shooting those scenes earlier on before they were completely comfortable with each other. Granted they are actors, but still newbies. I digress.

Mil with the redemption! I really disliked Drake's character in season 1 and I'm so glad that they redeemed him. And I must say WOW Drake looked fantastic. Obviously Frank and Drake have history so their chemistry was on point. I really liked all the couples and it's amazing that they had better scene distribution in these 5 episodes than the entire first season. I really enjoyed the progression of the special and the lack of literally everything that I disliked about the first season. I honestly want to recommend skipping the first season and just watching the special lol.
