The acting is excellent
The cast and the phenomenal acting by the entire cast elevates this movie from just ok to a solid 3 stars for me. I wish there had been a more complete story but alas, there is not. We get the makings of a good story of a man learning to have faith again after the tragic death of his father as a child after already having lost his mother when she gave birth to him. He blames God and has essentially decided he has no need for Him or his faithful. The story was rushed towards the end. The ending also implied that a sequel was forthcoming and maybe that's why the story feels incomplete. There were some genuinely good dialogue between Yong Hoo and Father Ahn. And it was believable that Yong Hoo would become fond of him even with his feelings about God.
The last fight scene was choreographed really well. PSJ should be in way more action flicks. Looking forward to seeing him on the Ms. Marvel sequel.
The worst part of the movie was the special effects. I think they could have been done a lot better. The fire looked fake.

Another meh Jdrama for me.I give this a 3/10. Almost was a 5/10 b/c for the most part I was enjoying the storyline and the characters. Even the ones that were getting on my nerves. However, the last few eps were just super annoying. I will never understand the notion of doing what's best for the other person without speaking to them. Can't people decide for themselves what's best if they have all the facts???
Anyway, I liked the cast a lot. Yamazaki Kento, Miura Shohei, Nomura Shuhei and Kiritani Mirei. FL is really pretty; loved her face but her character really is the kind of woman I can't stand. I really loved Abe Junko as Ishikawa Wakaba. She played the FL's bestfriend.
I have a serious question. What the hell was the point of that gangster/man who wanted to buy the restaurant?? Paca!! Really just an unnecessary character.

I'm planning a LDW watch this year and this was the 1st one on my list and I was disappointed. Not b/c he isn't good here but the characters, all of them are super annoying. I did love his chemistry with Jung Ryeo Won though. Her character was quite rude for most of the series and I really didn't like her...The adults in this series all behaved like 12 - 15 year olds. I hate shows like this.
I wish we could get a story where the leads aren't necessarily meant to end up together. They can just be friends and be close to each other. I also did not like the 2nd leads. Tae Hee and Ji Hoon did not belong together in the end. The storyline was just ridiculous. What sense does it make to be miserable for the sake of someone else's so called happiness?
The show did get better in the last few eps but by that point I didn't care.

The 2 leads I haven't seen in anything else but they were both good here. I liked the FLs character. Very fresh and I like how she knew what she wanted and who she was. I loved her interactions with her mother and with the bar owner played brilliantly by Lee El, whom I adore.
The scene at the hotel the first time Jiwoo and Jihoo are together had me in the floor. JiHoo's ex-girlfriend was super obnoxious and I'm glad she was only in a few scenes. I wouldnt watch again but it good enough to watch once.

This is a fairly good movie. I liked the beginning the most. The first 50 minutes of the film really keep you on the edge of your seat and the entiity is really scary. The jump scares were good and we get the traditional contortionist movements from the ghost/killer that Japanese horror movies are known for. I thought the last 30 minutes were not that great but overall the ending madeup for it. The cast is excellent. I genuinely liked all the actors and the characters they portrayed. I liked the developing friendships of the characters too. The friendship aspect of the movie takes this a notch above the traditional teen horror movie tropes. I also liked loneliness as a theme here. .
All in all I recommend watching at least once. That end credit scene is quite interesting; I may have to rewatch in a few months too see if I notice anything differently.

I'm really not into time travel shows but I really enjoyed the first few episodes of this series. The show is a solid ten in the beginning. The younger timeline is much more impactful than the adult timeline and it matched more closely with the anime, which I recently watched. The last 5 episodes were a complete let down but I have read that the ending of this series is more like the manga. I prefer the anime ending for sure. I plan on reading the manga in a few weeks.
The young cast is phenomenal especially, Uchikawa Reo as Satoru. He carries the show. Surprisingly, this is the last show he's been in. I also loved the actress Kurotani Tomoka, she played his mother. You know I love a great mother son combo.

This is a really good series overall and a really great cast as well. The only person I was familiar with in the main cast is Kang Ki Young and he's excellent here and the comic relief and the mentor to Woo Young Woo and the other young attorneys. The relationship between Woo Young Woo and Jun Ho was so sweet and wholesome and had the right amount of good romance and tension between the 2 leads. What the writers did really well was the dialogue between the mains when they talked about everything but especially when they had to consider breaking up and why. also loved that things were not too dragged out. There are some big reveals early on and I liked that.
I really liked the 2FL played by Ha Yoon Kyung. Just really great character all around but Soo Yeon is way to good for Min Woo. You'll see what I mean when you watch.
Not sure if a 2nd season is necessary even with the things that were left open. My biggest question after watching is why the CEO of Hanbada had the grudge against the CEO of Taesan?? That's never explained or did I miss it??

Eye rollingly bad!!
This is absolutley, one of the worst if not the worst Kdrama's I have ever watched. The FL Ji Eun unlikeable and rude. The Joseph character behaved like an insolent 5 year old the entire series. The Shim Do Young character is completely unnecessary. Everything about the character is so random and nonsensical. I have never watched a show where the majority of the mains are unlikeable. The main characters are the most vapid 30 somethings that I have seen in a long time and maybe that was the point but there was no character development for anyone except Ye Seon Ho and barely.I started watching b/c of Minho and he's so bland and boring here. Also, something about his makeup was off putting. I actually would have preferred the FL staying with her boyfriend from the begining of the series even though she ********SPOILER ALERT***** (it's not really important to the story though) cheated on him.
This was 8 epsiodes that I thought would be a fun and cute binge watch but it was so disappointing!

Pretty Good Competition Series
The best thing about the show is that the cast is genuinely good and almost eveyone is likable. I don't usually watch reality shows, the competition kind or otherwise but I really was hooked watching week to week. Could the show have been better most definitely but for the entertainment value it gave was excellent. After the challenges in episode 8, I really did think Jo Jin Hyeong, the bodybuilder would win but it goes to show that stamina becomes more important than brute strength. Most of my favorites were out but the winner really was good throughout the series. Love that the contestants rooted for each other.
I would have liked more individual challenges each round similiar to how they did episode 8. I also think that the picking of the teams should had been random. That would have made for much more interesting and possibly more evenly matched teams.
Dont know if I'd watch another season but this was pretty entertaining.

Practically Perfect in Every Way
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS DRAMA.FL and ML were perfect and so was the supporting cast!!. I haven't binged a show in a minute and this was worth me being tired tomorrow morning at work. I initially watched b/c of Kim Ji Hoon and he is outstanding here as Do Won but I fell in love with Yoo Teo, as Kang Ho. Have never seen him in anything else but he was so good and his smile is to die for!!
Mi Ran is hilarious and played brilliantly by Kim Ok Bin. I liked that she's tough and knows what she wants out of a relationship.
The best part of this romcom aside from the cast is that there are some genuinely, laugh out loud funny scenes in almost every episode. I loved that the ADULTS behaved like adults in a relationship and things were not awkward when they confessed to each other.
There were just so many things done right in this drama. Also, loved the fact that it's sweet, simple and 10 episodes.

Sweet and Comforting
This was a sweet, bittersweet and comforting, slice of life drama. I just really enjoyed it and the cast is wonderful, especially the 2 young female leads, Mori Nana and Deguchi Natsuki.Kiyo and Sumire leave their hometown to go to Kyoto to become Maiko, while Sumkre shines Kiyo struggles but she is a glass half full person and take things as they come. She ends up becoming the maikani of the house and she cooks for the girls.
I didnt even realize Meiko and Geiko could have boyfriends or that Geikco coud have children. I ended up Googling b/c I was curious and I learned a lot.
I originally didn't like the character of Ryoko but as the episodes went along, I understood her longing and what she was going through. My heart kinda broke for her too!.
Overall a really good series. Just a simple year in the life of these characters and it's quite enjoyable. I really liked how each episode built on the story. Loved the showcasing of food as well. Would love to try some of the dishes presented. Episode 6 was my favorite.

I actually thought this would be much funnier when I watched the trailer but there were some serious moments as well and the standard high school bullying which I hated. Rich kids always feeling threated by poorer/less fortunate students is so ridiculous.
I did like the friendhip between Gi Myeong, Chang Joo and Kim Nam Jeong. I liked Gi Myeong's mother as well. Very sweet and caring mother.

Best thing about this series is the music guest
First off let me start off by saying I misinterpreted the synopsis. I thought this was going to be a murder mystery. That's on me. It's a slice of life series and that not a bad thing but the ML life is just so meh!Sadly, what I watched was unbearably boring. I watched because of Abe Hiroshi and he is great here as M, the aloof and content with his life writer whose girlfriend leaves without a word to him. Mind you, they've been together for 5 years. I thought the 1st episode was good and the characters interesting but even that could not stop me from heavy eyelids watching each episode. These 30 minute episodes seemed like they were 90 minutes long and everything seemed like it was dragging. Literally was falling asleep on each ep!!
The best thing about this series is the musical guest at the end of each episode. I heard new music from several arstist I'd liked to hear more from like Tendre, Tavito Nanao, Toko Miura and Mitsume.

Super Cute
I was in the mood for something, light, fun and romantic. Fall in Love Like a Star delivered. It a sweet story about 2 childhood friends. One wants to be a musician and the other an agent. They love each other but Tian Xin knows that a relationship with Su Xing Yu will hinder his career so she breaks up with him. They meet again 5 years later and she becomes his agent and the sparks are still there but a paparazzi takes intimate pictures of them and once again she believes that the relationship will halt his now promising music career and she breaks up with him again. Eventually they get back together and live happily ever after. Super cute.I LMAO when Tian Xin blew on a horn and then she saw a picture of where the horn had been. Too damn funny. I also LOL when they were on an airplane and Tian Xin's assistant was freaking out about the plane going down. The movie is nothing to write home about but sweet and enjoyable.

Not enough action
Su Can the son of the Admiral in charge of destroying the opium being brought in by the Prince is essentially an aimless youngman who doesn't want to follow in the footsteps of his government official father. He's happy to go around with the beggar clan just living his life and being in love with Lady Ruyu. Lady Ruyu is a performer whom the Prince has taken a keen interest. She rebuffs him and also gets into a kerfuffle with Su Can. The Prince sets in motion a plan to eliminate Su Can and is father so that he can continue his opiod busniess. After the murder of his father and then the Beggar clan leader Su Can seeks out revenge. It's not a bad movie but the movie is choppy. Somethings happened way to fast and too unbelievably. I did like the costumes and the cast though. I just wish there was a more coherent story.I can see why this has a low rating. I really wanted to like this film and it really should have been good and enjoyable. The runtime was a short 73 minutes and maybe that's why the story falls apart?
