I really liked the characters and the story for the most part. The FL and both ML really good. It's an average film with your standard revenge plot. I loved actor Wang Yung Sheng. He's the villian here but I like him in everything he plays in. His skills and charisma, always awesome.

I didn't think the fight scenes were all that spectacular but there were two that were well choreographed. The fight scene between Jeanie Chang (FL) and Chan Lau (4th Brother) was excellent and the work with the pot was fantastic. The other was a fight scene between 2 older gentlemen; one of whom is the villain. Even though i don’t remember these 2 characters they were apparently part of the subplot. Fight was great with the 2 veteran martial arts actors. That was better than all the fights between any main characters. I really didnt even reacall the subplot while watching and was flabbergasted when the 2 showed up to fight over the 36 Deadly Styles book.

Bolo Yuen is here and for some inexplicable reason he is wearing a redheaded, braided wig. I literally, need someone to explain to me as to why the hell that wig was used. It looked like a black woman's wig from the 1970's disco era.

Slow and Boring

This is one of the most pointless movies I have ever watched.

While the plot is interesting, the story is all over the place. The movie opens with the police chief having nightmares but we don't get an explanation for this until essentially the end of the movie. The whole time I thought she was having a mental breakdown and honestly she was but not for the reasons I thought. I also thought she was living in an alternate reality. The Chief 's daughter is a nuisance.

The main plot about prostitution is terrible and frankly, sad. The best part of the movie is actress, Lee Yeon who plays Yae Un, the girl who is allegedy being prostituted against her will. There could have been a better story here but there is not.

Sadly, The Fantasy Wore Off

I was genuinely enjoying this. Specifically for the romantic fanstasy. Park Bo Gum being the perfect guy who says and does eveything perfectly. Park Bo Gum and Song Hye Kyo also, had really good chemistry and it made for a great love story.

But alas, even Park Bo Gum's character, Jin Hyoek started to get on my nerves and the story of the younger man and older, divorcee just didn't do it for me anymore. Way too many filler episodes and scenes. Way too many people in the way and all the mothers are terrible. Can I please just have a romantic fantasy where there are no obstacles the leads have to face to be together and don't drag out over 16 epiosdes???

I will say that they did a good job with Woo Seok, Soo Hyeon's ex-husband. Who knew that I could ever feel sympathy for the rich, chaebol she divorced. I mean yes his actions and not protecting her were terrible when they were married but I felt like he was genuinely, trying to make up for that with his actions throughout the series. The road to hell though is paved with good intentions. He definitely should have done better when they were married.

Overall I give the show a 6/10 b/c I actually loved it up until FL ends the relationship. Plus the cast/supporting characters are joy to watch.

Thrilling beginning but disappointing end

I am a huge fan of a revenge plotline. The show really keeps you captivated and mesmerized for most of the series. The whodunit aspects in the beginning really do keep you guessing. However, the show falters in the last few episodes. When the audience finds out the motivations for all this havok it's almost laughable. So anticlimatic. The police as usual, are dumber than a box of rocks and don't really serve a purpose in the story other than to annoy us.

The cast is good and all of the actors were new to me. I liked Seo Ji Hoon as Jaebum and Lomon as Seohoon. Seo Ji Hoon was excellent as Gi Osung. He nailed his role as the person you love to hate. He took smug and arrogant to a new level.

Overall, an enjoyable series to watch once. I loved Gsoul's song Lost Game which played throughout the series and was the closing theme song.

The movie delivers the goods

I preface this by saying I am not a person who's really into the zombie genre but there are some genuinely good zombie movies out there.

Train to Busan did not disappoint!! Well written and well acted, with some humorous moments.

I was 30 minutes in and I was wondering how the movie could possibly be almost 2 hours long on a train. The level of tension, suspense and action never waivered. I was super impressed. Gong Yoo was excellent and Ma Dong-seok was fantastic! I mean the entire cast is really good. The young actress Kim Soo An playing Gong Yoo's daughter was good too!

I loved the scene where Ma Dong, Gong Yoo and Choi Woo Shik are in the bathroom waiting for the next tunnel and Gong Yoo ask why Ma Dong has that as his ring tone. The whole scene is great and it was an excellent tension breaker. Ma Dong's speech about Gong Yoo's daughter understanding him later was also on point.

Of course there is always a character in these films that you hate and I was so mad he made it til the end. Total bastard.

Hands down one of the best kdramas I have ever watched. Periodt!

I have been trying to find a really good adult Kdrama to watch this year and I found Memory from 2016.

This is honestly, one of the best series I have ever watched Korean or otherwise. From the first episode to the last, the acting, the writing, the revelations were all on point. Easily and believably woven together to give an exceptionally, meaningful 16 episodes to the viewers. This story about a prominent lawyer learning he has early onset Alzheimer's is so damn good. It has aspects of a great family drama, legal drama and thriller.

Lee Sung Min as Park Tae-seok was absolutely brilliant. This was the first series I have seen him in and I can't get over how great he was in this role. The whole cast is really good though and I genuinely loved everyone in their roles. Kim Jee Soo as Young joo, Tae-Seok wife was stellar. One of my favorite people in the show was Yoon So Hee as Sun Hwa. She was such a great legal assistant and I loved that she respected her boss and was looking out for him/ had his back. She is such a great female character.

The theme song More than a memory by Kim Kyung Hee is beautiful and perfect. It played a lot but I was happy hearing it.

This is an average film but that's not a negative. It's a crime thriller with an interesting story. What was really great was the movie is essentailly broken down into chapters. We watch as Choi thinks he has the killer caught red handed and then realizes, as more information comes in that may not be the case. I loved how all the fact were being pulled together from different perspectives. The part about the shaman I thought was wierd but it didn't really hinder the story. But what a twist ending. Worth watching at least once.

The biggest plus is this stacked cast. So many good actors here and once again Shin Ha Kyun was excellent. I loved Cha Seung Won, Ryu Seung Ryong and Jang Young Nam as well.

One of the Worst Jdramas I have ever watched

This show is bad. This is another terrible Jdrama from 2018 that lacks in everything. Cleary this show was not made for me. I was looking for a light fun romcom and it was the pits!! FL is quite annoying and childish. I hate this combination in a main character. I hated her face too when she was thinking. It was driving me nuts.

I also really can't understand why she was so obsessed with ML. Every character was nonsensical in their actions. I was dumbfounded by 2 things that happened in the last episode. First thing is one of the couples that end up together makes no sense. The other thing is the FL gets a horrific text alert and I don't think it was necessary. It was quite dumb and not romantic at all.

The only good thing I can say about the series is that eps are short and it's a quick watch.

This is unfortunately, one of the worse martial arts movies I have ever seen. I wanted a female revenge story with excellent martial arts choreography and I got this terrible film. I feel bad for Chia Ling because while she's good here and her martial arts are undeniable, this movie was subpar at best. The fight choreo was bad and the storyline/characters where all over the place. I couldn't really make heads or tails of who was who and what person's revenge story we were actually following.

The ending was poorly executed.. Normally, when the hero fights the big boss that sequence is usually the best in terms of fight choreo but when FL and the villian fight it was just bad and they way he met his end was laughable. The only plus in this film was the costumes.

I enjoyed this slice of life story. Hye Won was going through a quarterlife crisis. She's struggling to know what she really wants to do with her life after failing her teacher's exam. She's also still feeling abandoned by her mother. She heads back to her home town and through some memories of her mother and time with her friends she finds the answers she needs.

What I loved the most about the film is the storytelling through food. So many interesting dishes. Things I would definitely try and some I wouldn't. The cabbage pancake with egg looked strange but somehow delicious. I am always envious of people who can cook and especially cook from scratch. I loved those scenes the most.

The cast is really good to. I particularly loved the performance of Moon So Ri, the actress playing the mother of Hye Won.

I was expecting something totally different than what I watched. This show is terribly boring and dumb. FL was another super annoying character that I really couldn't root for. The 2 FL/villain was more interesting but ultimately she was the typical antagonist to the FL.

I did like the supporting cast and many of the girls and their butlers made quite the pair. Mameshibe was the only character I actually cared about and wanted to see. The good news is that this is a 10 episode series and not a lot of time was wasted on it.

There were some genuinely funny scenes, especially in episode 8 at the beginning and at the neighbors house when all the girls went to FL's small town. I also, really liked episode 5 b/c one of the characters got a chance to be a little girl and not some robot for the government.

Saccharine Sweet And I Loved It

This show is surprisingly, sweet and enjoyable. A coming of age story with hip-hop as the background. There were some heavy topics and I did not like Yeong-Baek's mother however, they did end of making her somewhat redeemable at the end. I loved his grandmother and she was perfectly played by Kim Young Ok.

I really liked the entire cast, especially the ML. He ws just so earnest. The FL was really good too and I like the little girl playing her sister. I was so here for Hyun-Min and he was such an adorable nerd. Shin Won Ho playing the bully/villain here was so funny. He was such a cutie in Legends of the Blue Sea.

The best thing about the series is the music. They writers did a very good job with the music in this series.

This movie was all over the place and the simple plot about a town being overtaken by bandits who don't want to follow the Emperors rules started to not make any sense. Angela Mao was wasted here. I did like Barry Chan though. Really good in this.

The ending fight scene was ok but overall the fight scenes were not that great. Also, I have no clue what the writers were thinking with the final scenes. The ML does the dumbest thing I think I've ever seen in a movie. I was like WTF am I watching. I can't say what it is b/c it would completely spoil the movie.

Good Legal Thriller/Drama

This drama was better that I thought it would be. I thought the entire cast was really good. I haven't seen the ML or FL in anything but this but they both played their roles well.

The greatest performance for me, however, was Kim Sang Ho who is one of my favorite character actors. He play Chisik to heart achingly, tragic perfection. This man deserves all the awards for best supporting actor. The last episode of the series is one of the best episodes of TV I have watched this year and his performance is why.

The series is about evil men doing evil deeds and not being hed accountable but someone decides they need to be. It's also a commentary on how the Court/legal system is unjust due to the influence of the wealthy defendants.

I really like the opening theme song and the the Silver linings song in the OST.

What a waste of time

I thought the first episode was really funny but a lot of cringe though and I did not like the potrayal of dreads on that webtoon guy. However, by the 3rd episode the show was starting to get on my nerves.

I don't like JCW's character. He was too nice and so gullible. It's ridiculous. I hate ML like this. Yes you can be nice and honest but you don't have to be a doormat and act stupid or blind to things right in front of you. I have to stop watching these kinds of dramas. I also didn't understand why his girlfriend even likes him other than his good looks when she is so ashamed of him and his upbringing.

Almost every character is annoying with no redeeming qualities. I hate that rich people in these dramas find it abhorrent that their child may be in love with someone they find beneath them. Dae Hyun has his own business and works hard to live a good and honest life; what is so terrible about that? The class system is ridiculous.

I never drop shows so that's my character flaw and I guess I should but this was 16 episodes of nonsense that actually could have ended at episode 13 when all main plot issues had been resolved. Yet it carried on for 3 more episode just to make ML and FL not get together until the last episode. STUPID!!

I really have to stop watching my sister's recommendations.
