JUST A CUTE AND FLUFFY LOVE STORY

First of all, I feel like I am watching Yeo Jin Goo or Yoon Chan Young and Im Si Hwan doing a BL here coz Kim Jin Woo Looks like Yeo Jin Goo and Yoon Chan Young and Gi Seop Looks like Im Si Hwan for me !!
About the not able to admit or confess to our crushes, everyone feels the same I believe, coz I remember way back in my High School days, I was not able to confess to my crush too, but my friends confessed for me , so here it just happened that a certain guy who can't say no to everyone happened to meet a person whom he knows actually likes him but does not go out with him, and he began to became curious of finding out and as he do it, he fell with the guy ! That plot is not really new for me, in some ways I find the story and the situations on this drama really nonesense but a POV of a madly inlove guys, but why did I gave it a high rating? Its because It was very cute and fluffy, watching it makes you really feel good, that's what I like about it ! Given the great visuals of the leads and how they portray the characters was really entertaining and soothing in my eyes. Jeong Gi Seop and Kim Jin Woo lead me to their world, Jeong Gi Seop's character was something really new to me, he is innocent and soft while I think Jin Woo is strong and at the same time he was a baby, all they ever did here was to make me jealous of their beautiful faces, beautiful lovelife and the fact that they are rich and living in South Korea ! The Drama was easy to watch, not too heavy, it was so funny also, just beautiful from start to end. About Choi BalGeum. I LIKE his name by the way, his love story was a bit sad and dark for me, korean BL always has this plots where an ex lover comes back and shake a certain character, anyways I am not really a fan of that, I actually skipped Choi Bal Geum's love story , I am sorry , just happy with Jin Woo and Gi Seop here , my favorite part was when they finally confessed to each other and they were sticking like a glue on the street, that was so funny, I am happy by the way that it was not too short so the run time was enough for the story, not rushed. ONLY I hated that I am confused with the ending ! Was it that they are not able to recognize each other after a long time or was it before they actually met ? Like the very beginning ? I don't know how can I move on with that coz I so love them , I am thinking that maybe there might be a season 2 ? Anyways , so happy with this drama, Gonna re watch this many times in the future and a recommended one and Gi Seoo is so Pretty , I like his voice so gentle, he is really gifted with that appearance !

I enjoyed this series while waiting for 1) the two main characters to connect and, 2) to see if the main female character would make captain at Luzhou Airlines. If your world includes flying, pilots, airline attendants, gate check in, ground maintenance, or an Airports you can relate to this show. I have not had the opportunity to travel in a Boeing Dreamliner airplane yet however, I felt like I was in the 787 cockpit alot with this show . I also liked the storyline focused on priority of customer care.

First J-Drama and enjoyed it. Slice of life is hard to execute well but it did it.

This was my first J-Drama and I wasn't expecting to like it but I binge watched it in a weekend. I love Slice of Life but it's a very hard genre to execute. They're quintessentially "plot-less" and so you have to work extra hard to make the story, situations, and characters believable and entertaining. Somehow they did it. I definitely think it's rewatchable if you wanted a slice of life drama with a "coming of age" theme for adult women. If you like the elements of friendship/camaraderie, careers, and romance thrown in too, it'll give you that. I got all the things I was looking for out of this drama.

gave more than expected (but maybe not enough?)

I picked this up thinking it would be just a light watch as I was getting bored,
but surprisingly it actually hooked me

the acting wasn’t top-notch, but it wasn’t bad either, most the actors gave exactly what was expected of their characters without taking away the spotlight of the other characters…

the show gave you enough to watch to keep watching and the over exaggeration that’s expected from Thai dramas too adding a more light tone overall and a comedic twist

the separate relationships between the characters was dealt with well too (romantic, platonic, parental etc)

However, I think with a longer run/ or even within 6 episodes, the more dystopian side could be explored, I think it was slightly brushed off how the societies normality wasn’t equal between men and women but no one had any issue with it until the last point (which was shown with the revolt at the end and almonds character showing how integrated the regime was). Also there was no true resolvement apart from the couples
(but there is a possibility for a season two)

overall it was a good watch if not deeply interpreted and taken more on face value with a hint of more complex details.

Watch this & Skip Laorchan

You won't regret the time you spend watching this lakorn.

FIY:
M.R. Taratorn, M.R. Pawornruj, M.R. Puttipat, M.R. Rachanon, and M.R. Ronapee are considered the 3rd generation of the Juthathep family, collectively known as the "5 Lions of Juthathep." In the 4th generation, the first children of the 3rd generation are all males, and they are called the "Second Generation of 5 Lions of Juthathep."

Dhevaprom: Kwanruetai, the second part of the Devaphrom series, features Chat, a doctor in the army. Chat, played by the son of Khun Chai Puttipat (James Ji), resembles his father with glasses and makeup. Just as James Ji debuted in the Khun Chai series, Mikey debuts in the Devaphrom series.

Chat falls in love with an ordinary girl named Kwanruetai, also known as Kwan, who sells food and makes her own living. Her mother, Maratee, was rejected by Kwan's father, who fell in love with another woman. (There’s a hidden lineage you’ll need to watch and discover.)

Kwan dresses as a tomboy because her mother forces her to, fearing Kwan will marry and leave her. At times, Maratee's behavior makes one wonder if she's Kwan’s stepmother due to her harshness.

The love between the main leads, Chat and Kwan, progresses over time. Once Khun Chat sees Khwanruethai, he never looks at any other woman.

I also enjoyed the developing romance between Phak and Ket. They make a lovely couple, and I’d like to see them together in another lakorn. Kwan & Chat's first kiss happens accidentally in episode 1, and there's plenty of chemistry throughout.

Comparing the outfits between the first installment, Dhevaprom: Laorchan, set in the 80s, and this one set in the 90s, the fashion in the second series aligns better with the 90s. In the first series, we saw Laorchan wearing beige Louboutins with the signature red-bottom when climbing the stairs at the office, although these shoes were actually created in the 90s. In this second series, everything looks more appropriate for the 90s, except for the OST, which could be more period-appropriate

If you haven't watched the lakorn yet, please avoid reading the spoilers & review below

Khwan's mother (Maratee) is still obsessed with Phat Phutthiphat Juthathep, the ML's father (James Ji’s character in Khun Chai Puttipat series). Maratee sees Kwan as the reason for her fall from grace. After failing to marry Khun Phat, Maratee became one of the many mistresses of a general, who happens to be Phak's father. Thus, Kwan is Phak's stepsister. Kwan will marry Chat, making her the sister-in-law of Ket, who is Chat’s sister. Therefore, Kwan is both Phak’s stepsister and future sister-in-law. (gosh it is complicated lol)

Fortunately, Phak's brother left a letter for Kongphop, instructing him to keep it hidden from Maratee and to give it to Kwanruethai if she needed help. This is how Kwan discovers her biological father’s identity. Maratee is Kwan’s biological mother and Kongphop’s stepmother. Oom perfectly portrays the middle-aged Maratee.

I loved the tight-knit, supportive relationships between the siblings and cousins. They realized Chat and Kwan were in love before the couple did and even mentioned it to their great-grandmother.

The series includes some deaths related to drug abuse and gangs, like the son of Songphol, Atthawit, and his girlfriend. The portrayal of drug abuse and its consequences is stark.

Phak fell in love with Ket at first sight and started taking photos of her. When caught, he completely denied it. Phak and Ket’s mothers were trying to set them up, which they both initially resisted. When Phak saw that the girl his mother was setting him up with was Ket, he pretended not to be interested. Despite this, he watched over her. Their mothers’ matchmaking didn’t deter Phak, whose love was instant, while Ket’s grew gradually. Phak’s constant support and protection won her over.

In this series, the Juthathep gentlemen fulfill Grandma On’s wishes, unlike their fathers. Personally, I preferred the fathers’ love stories, perhaps due to the actors or the script. Nonetheless, each viewer has their own taste. I was familiar with Pope and Great in the Khun Chai series, while Bomb, James Ji, and James Ma debuted there. In this series, I’m less familiar with the main leads but recognize some supporting actors.

Grandma On, who obstructed the fathers’ romances, is replaced by a supportive grandma in this series. Kaew, Chat’s mother, warmly accepts Kwan, differing from typical lakorns where future mothers-in-law are antagonistic.

Despite social differences between Kwan and Chat, Kwan is the biological daughter of a general and future daughter-in-law of Maratee. Maratee’s realization of her love for her husband came too late.

Episode 13 is crucial as Phutthipat visits Maratee, triggering a flashback to their younger selves. The transitions between young and mature Phutthipat and Maratee are beautifully done, capturing the essence of their characters.

This series teaches that love cannot be controlled, and life should be lived fully without dwelling on uncontrollable matters.

Chat’s declaration to forget their parents and backgrounds, focusing solely on their love, felt genuine and realistic compared to Dhevaprom: Laorchan.

Our romantic army doctor proposes to Kwan while in a hospital bed, a touching moment. When Phutthipat’s visit doesn’t soften Maratee, Chat himself visits her.

Did it work? You need to watch and see.

By episode 14, we bid farewell to our couple and move on to the next installment.

Kwan, preparing to become a nurse in Bangkok, stays with a lady who seems connected to Chat. Am I right? Watch to find out.

Kwan will be the perfect wife for our doctor, continuing the legacy of medical professionals in the family. (her mother & her future father in law)

Grandma finally accepts Phak and Ket’s relationship, and Phak wants to marry Ket soon, though Ket wishes to wait until Chat’s wedding.

Kwan reconciles with her mother Maratee and meets her maternal grandfather. Maratee eventually softens and approves of her future son-in-law.

The next story is about Nuphuk "Jaipisut" and Jak "Ronnajak Juthathep." And you know what else is coming next: the story of Wilairampa Dhevaprom’s daughter Dujapsorn and Asira Juthathep.

A very mature and original wuxia drama....

I don't know what else to add as previous reviews have already beaten me to it....but I will say that I enjoyed the depth and development of the characters displayed in this drama - this even applies to secondary and tertiary characters'good' and 'bad'.
I am quite new to Cdramas ( switched to them only in 2023 after 4 years of kdramas....?) and this is the most 'mature' chinese fantasy drama I have watched yet - even most of the scenes and shots have a dark blue or cool hue to them adding to that realism and maturity.

Both the ML and FL already worked together on 'love between Fairy and Demon' 2022 with Dylan Wang, and from their performance, I am very glad to see them act again, upgrading their choice of characters, showcasing their talent and versatility.

There is also an unexpected plot twist that even more savvy cdrama fans might not pick up on or maybe, but it definitely reflects the age old 'truth' that sometimes the most dangerous enemies are much closer to us than we think, causing more harm than we can ever imagine!

**Spoiler Alert**
There is news of a pregnancy in the last episode between the main characters ( I won't say who....) which actually made me hopeful that the creators of this drama produce a second season...or expand the world or universe the story is based in.

Pleeeaeeeeeasssse! ???

One of the best drama for 2024!

Following the story from season 1, everyone became different from how we saw them in the last season. The dramatical story and action scenes were 10/10 and the plot about Medusa was such a great idea. Geum Ra Hee trying her best to seek revenge for Dami, even when this means to take her own life without regrets. The fight between Min Do Hyuk and Matthew/Shim Joon Seok/K was something that turned the story into something completely new and with unexpected turns. After all the revenge for Dami was successful and K got what he deserved. And the other characters did great job with redeeming themselves. This drama was really something that I wanted to see. Of course we got a happy ending for Hannah which I was extremely happy about, considering what a really young child had been through. Great story, written and played well!

Singular PLOT

The first day I watched 7 out of 10 episodes! Interesting plot that fascinated me.
This company would produce meat without killing animals and at the same time design organs for transplants. Many people will be against the Blood Free boss and others will want to get all the secrets to live forever. She will need bodyguards to protect her and find out who is behind the blackmail and threats.
Cyber attacks, accidents, deaths, "moles", transplants...
Small negative note, they could have avoided the ambush of the detour. Even a child would have understood that it was a trap.
I appreciated the acting of Ju Ji Hoon (the bodyguard Woo Chae Woon) who I had already seen in "Jirisan" and "Hyena", the revolutionary idea of this project and all the pros and cons of the technological world that helps but can also be very fragile to attacks.
I recommend seeing this series for people who are not sensitive to blood.

A doable weekend sitting binge if you like survival shows.

If you like survival shows then you might enjoy this. It felt predictable and I definitely went in expecting this to be no different than Squid Game. The story doesn't really have a takeaway for the audience. I guess it doesn't need one since this theme of human greed and flaws is repeated in every survival show. I think the characters are pretty interesting to watch and what made me want to get through it. In reading the comments, everyone seems to have connected with a different character for different reasons which might make the show feel relatable to viewers. I thought the game rules were solid for the most part and easy to remember. It's not rewatchable though. I don't think survival shows have a lot of rewatch value unless there's a second season, then you'd rewatch to remember. It is bingeable if that's what you're in the mood for.

A tribute to the original show (1971) and actors.

This was a tribute to the original show and actors.

* Detective/Inspector Park was played by Choi Bool Am in the original and the 2023/older version.
* Detective Kim played by Kim Sang Soon in the original passed away in 2015.
* Detective Jo played by Jo Kyung Hwan passed away in 2012.
* Detective Nam played by Nam Sung Hoon passed away in 2002.

Special mention:
* Actors Lee Kye In and Song Kyung Chul, were also in the original. They appeared in the last episode of this show.

I hope they release a sequel.

They can do it multiple ways:
1. Another prequel set before the original “Chief Detective 1971”.
2. Remake the 1971 original.
3. A sequel of 1971, set sometime later.
4. A modern 2023/2024 version. Continue the story line of the present time. This time, focusing on Park's descendants, and telling us the other case stories through his grandson.

If they'll choose to do a 2023/2024 version next, then those past case stories can become the 3rd sequel/prequel. For example, it will tell the story of Park's son. Was he a detective as well? How much did he adore his father, the cow-thief detective? What were his achievements?

Doing that way will fill in the gap as to how original Park's grandson became a detective, which is his father (or son of original Park).

There are plenty of ways they can go about this. And I hope they will.

main lead look so creepy together,

i watched both of them in there dramas and i liked both of them, but seeing them together here , don't look that good at all
ML left his job and says its to earn more money as a teacher but i truth we know he left his job and become a teacher with other motive of seducing his old teacher
while they were teacher and student, they don't look that age gap
FL look much younger with her looks and figure she has mentioned,
ML WI Ha Joon was amazing in Little woman and i wanted to see him as male lead for sure
they way ML and Fl talk with each other, ML look obsess with Fl in not so positive way but Creepy
he left his job and change career to seduce her, but what if she still just see him as her student... he would become a abusive stalker,, if things do not go as his plan,, ( director would help and thing will go nicely and she will suddenly start seeing him as a boyfriend material
she acted as she is his mother in first 2 ep worrying about him like his job is going to effect her living expenses
then ep3 and she started to act like a 17 year texting her crush
its boring
no chemistry between leads as couple, they look Nice has Co-worker or friends
dark lighting like its Grim

they way this so called Teacher talk about other teacher senior to them, white haired witch
they are not teachers
they are not educated students but training them to get high grades just like how we train our Pets

a new recruit who hasn't even give a single class is on poster with his Crush teacher because he know how to give blow job to Low life director
Leads and director look nasty evil group
director of Dachi chase eat like pig, everyone was talking seriously paying attention to each other, this guy was busy stuffing his mouth with everything he get on his plate like, he hasn't eaten fir whole day... then got ill
drama doesn't have colors

I rated it 5 but the more i watched ep3 more i reduce my rating
ML is moral less obsessive self centered person,
Fl only focus on grades not education itself,

come defend your leads in comments if you wish to, I don't give a fish about it...1.5/10

My opinion on this recent drama “The 8 Show”

tbh i LOVED it. the acting, casting, and story was so captivating. i usually point out flaws but i wasn’t even paying attention of the small flaws of the show. if u like a show that the characters have to fight for survival like “Alice in Borderland” and “Squid Game”, then you’ll definitely love this. the cinematography was amazing and the story omgomg AHHH! the acting was actually amazing. you can tell that the actors really wanted to act good and rlly went deep with their character. the characters each have TOTALLY different personalities and they have to work together to survive. however as in every show, there comes a multiple problems throughout the show and conflicts which makes the show been more captivating.
