Frustrating

This drama has some sweet characters, lovely friendships, hardships and ships that Id say are pretty predictable yet so frustrating that I am glad I kept some hair on my head....

Slow, frustrating, going no where low selfasteam... so much so that it managed to kill one of my favourite tropes the contract relationship.

So while I did find elements in here entertaining and did like the characters I spent most of this drama borde or frustrated... Still I do fel that I need to give it some points for the imaginative characters and ways to prolong the frustration.

Also they do have a lot of interesting point in their discussions and show the frustration from several interesting angles.

Decent drama with good cast

"Queen of Tears" is a great show that mixes drama, love, and mystery really well. The actors are good, and the story keeps you interested. Sometimes you can predict what will happen, but it's still exciting. The sets and filming look really nice. The music could be better, but it's okay. Overall, "Queen of Tears" is a really enjoyable show. If you like drama and romance, you'll probably like it a lot.

Beautiful drama

Such a beautiful drama with unique plotline. There are time travelling dramas like marry my husband, perfect marriage revenge where both the leads travel back in time but here its only the Fl . The most sad thing about the leads is sunjae doesn't remember what happened once imsol changes things in past and imsol doesn't remember anything from her 15 years life once she goes to present... What a unique plot.. Loved every bit of this drama

IT IS A 50-50. NOT THE BEST OR THE WORST. NOT GOOD BUT ALSO NOT BAD.

4) this is a series that I had high hopes for and it might be because of the same reason that I feel disappointed after watching the series.

If the story's main agenda and other things are not something you care about and you solely want to watch the drama for the romance or because of some actor, then feel free to choose the story. If not then do consider reconsidering. Some things just made me so fucking triggered and some things were truly beyond something I would understand or even some things were logically speaking complete nonsense.
But then again don’t just drop it because of my review as many have found this drama to be a good one

At first let me make this clear, from the very beginning I was not satisfied by the story. a few minutes into the story you hear the female lead calling the male lead ‘shi fu’ which translates to master. i am not someone who agrees to a story where the master falls in love with the student and if that disturbs you please do not watch the series but if that is not an issue then go ahead and watch the series.
The plus points of the drama include the cast and their acting xiao Zhen did well up to my expectations and Ren Min also did her role well. Some other characters also had notably wonderful acting skills. Then comes the vfx the vfx was a believable one, more than that a good one. The fantastical setting was brought to life with the help of such a great VFX. Some things are enjoyable in this series. The actors look, they look adorable and the costumes and other artifacts used were also elegant. Throughout the story production, an ethereal feeling was preserved.

Now the negatives. The main issue with the story lies in its plot. The plot itself doesn’t have many plot holes and things match up but the plot seems to be too long with useless incidents that were meant to contribute to the character development but then it wasn’t of much use. the way characters react to different emotions and under the influence of different emotions seemed unacceptable to me. (I mean no one would behave like that) then again each character wasn’t well written and thus that affected the overall performance of the actors. The story wasn’t based on and or wasn’t following any main concept. in other words, the story did not have much of any main plot other than the main leads' relationships with each other. the main lead evidently died three times and somehow just resurrected (ok that is fine for once but thrice felt too much for me). the next problem is something related the story just pulls up concepts and facts out of thin air to aid the story. The relationship was also formed based on some incidents only.

All together I cannot say that this was a good drama neither can I say that this was a bad one.

So all the best and happy watching.

Good pacing but toxic characters

The pacing is good. The acting performances are quite good, too, though ML's acting could be performed better as there are moments when I feel like his acting is awkward. The stories of side couples are interesting as well. However, I am quite bothered by the "cheating" part, regardless of the "feeling neglected" reason. I wish she had first brought up the issue and talked with her husband instead, and when nothing still happened, she could have left him (not cheat on him btw). I think her ex-husband truly loved her, but I don't know. Maybe just distracted?

As for the other side couple, I was disappointed when the girl agreed to have a one last night with her "sugar daddy" when she and the other guy seemed to be in a relationship. Really, I feel like all of them have toxic flaws, but whatever.

I feel the FL, though, in the part of being afraid to fall in love and fully trust someone. The influence of the environment can truly bring you trauma. Anyway, the chemistry between the two leads is not that strong. I rate it as average or, maybe sometimes, even below.

Power corrupts, but does it have to corrupt one's soul, too?

I wholeheartedly believe there is some truth in every fictional story. Blood Free is no exception, especially in the way it depicts how the 1% delusional wealthy believe themselves to be superior to everybody else and think, not just accept but demand that the laws of man and land not apply to them in any way, shape, or form. They deserve not only elitism, amorality, but immortality just because they are wealthy boggles the mind. It makes me wonder. I know power corrupts, but does it have to corrupt one's soul, too? How can a parent such as Seon Woo Jae's ( I love me some Lee Hee Joon) mother, who loves her child so much, have such disregard for someone else's child; what makes them think only their child is precious? I will never understand. That said, what a brilliantly made drama!

Watching a fantastic show on TV or a great movie in the theatre sometimes leaves us thinking about what made that so great and why it moved us or made us nervous. I have come to understand that a TV show or movie can only become influential when all the key elements such as plot, character, thought, diction, spectacle, musical score, mystery, action, directing, and acting are done correctly -- all of which were intelligently weaved in Blood-free to make it beyond excellent, superb in fact. I think Blood Free is undoubtedly one of the best K-dramas Disney+ has ever produced, right there with A Shop for Killers, if not the best. Kudos to all, especially Han Hyo Joo. She was outstanding, and so was Ju Ji Hoon and everybody else. When I started this drama I thought Yoon Ja Yoo the most impactful character but by the end of it On San (Lee Moo Saeng) left an even bigger mark. The mere fact that this was only 10 episodes, made me believe there would be a second season to it. I await it, patiently.

Crisp and tasty KDrama - revolving around some hot topics that one might rather want to call sci-fi

Intelligent, sharp, with strong characters. A crisp and tasty KDrama. “Blood Free” got me immediately - with an original hook, set within a gripping milieu, topped by thoughtful demeanor of interestingly authentic protagonists and splendid casting.

Of course, the interfering natural interest of those in power (who obviously can never keep their hands off) is not at all surprising. Yet, the processing of some rather hot contemporary issues was presented in a refreshingly concise manner. Including topics that one might call a dream of the future... A bit far-fetched here and there? Perhaps. Nevertheless, often enough well grounded in common sense.

I assume there could as well be a second season... because the end doesn´t necessarily have to be the end, does it?

Best sci fi and business politics genre adaption ever

Must watch if you want a unique plot that explores one of the rarest k-drama genre ever. No character is written dumb, FL isn't a damsel in distress but is actually very clever and soft spoken. ML is a soldier through and through. Both of their chemistry is off charts. The science stuff and business and politics everything done was very realistically done.

What I love the most is how the main characters are written and how they acted their roles, it was very calm and serious, makes you actually feel like they actually exist in real life too. Especially FL actually acted exactly like a CEO of a big biotechnology company. She is introverted, doesn't talk a lot unless it is necessary, keeps her cool, thinks logically all the time.

ML is like mirror of FL, he is determined, loyal, thinks critically like a high post soldier. Is also introverted just like FL.

The series has ended, but it is very clear there will be a season base don the ending, as there is still lot of important things to be revealed. I am actually very happy there will be a season 2, as this series definitely shouldn't be just 10 episodes and I am glad it is happening. Although I hope it won't take long for season 2 to come out with all the actors still in picture from season 1.

Great but weird

flow of the story is pretty good, how everything is connected is also good. premises, problem, and climax are pretty good too,
every character is meaningful except the baby, i really don't understand why its there, mc doesn't seem to have gratitude problem. i don't know if those were addition or webtoon adaptation.

one thing that bugs me is the 'game' plot, the rule of how you can save yourself is weirdly mixed up or even contradictive as the story progressed, especially after part 2 later on. i might say there are no game whatsoever, its a losing game and outright punishment. which makes the ending questionable for me. I personally would have face any judgment with my heads up "i did my best, with every limits, ego and stupidity i have as a human". its not like the mc refuse to admit what he did is wrong nor he lives his life as an outright arsehole, he is not that desperate to make that request. if the game is a way to repent why suffer more ?, no guarantee that things will be better anyways

"death" says she gave a chance in the last scene. its weird that along the story she insist that she is no god and has no power over someone fate, her job is only to watch over the 'game''. and suddenly she plays god with giving mc a chance, if only they could think of a small detail that differs the usual "death" and the "death" mc saw in the last scene (eg hair/makeup), and the roulette is actually the judgment

im gonna be hated for this, but i think "death" actress kind of confused about her role, idk even she supposed to represent death but when i saw her acting 'fear' or 'intimidating' is not what i feel. it feels like iu in hotel de luna, cant say good or bad just not a fan of it.

i give it 10 for Uhm

i like 1st second episode
but what happen to 3rd one, she help this woman have kid and writer made cloud sounds like shit GOOD
but they forgot each other and now meeting and ML need to act like jerk for being a man lead
if that younger guy is going to end up with FL, its look gross and disgusting
she was right there when he was born like she help in his delivery and is first person other then guy and mother to hold him like her own little brother
why the don't remain in contact, man was raising a child alone woman was raising a boy alone , i am not saying they should get married or become lovers, but they could have remain in contact like friends,
but they needed ML meeting FL after long time and act like son of a cheater shit, that is dying
i don't like when Rich cheaters are shown innocent lovers. they are not, they took advantage of woman and then they only remember them when death come to Greet them.
if they end up together, it would be really mess up
she might tell her kids story about how she meet her husband when he was born just like she meet her own kid

but i give it 10/10 because i am biased toward FL

Cute drama

This was the first drama by Wei Zheming that I've watched (and the first cdrama I've ever watched). The characters were cute, and the storyline was awesome. Normally, romance isn't my favourite genre, but after watching this, my perspective has changed quite a bit.

Perfect and Casual is about Yun Shu, a college student who stumbles into a series of unimaginable events because of her college professor, Zhang Sinian, a perfectionist who doesn't like mistakes and disorder. Because of the latter's grandfather's illness, the two are forced together and begin a rather bumpy relationship. However, as time passes, the two get closer together and start loving each other for real.

The FL did a pretty good job portraying her character, a college student who is ready to graduate. She is a very sweet character, but she does get annoying at times (but, at the same time, you will feel bad for her). She had quite the ups and downs in her journey throughout the drama, which makes the drama a whole lot more interesting. However, the only downside is that her crying doesn't seem natural enough, but it doesn't affect her character too much.

The ML also did an excellent job in this drama. The only reason why I found this drama is because of Call Me By Fire S3, where I immediately fell in love with Wei Zheming's cuteness. In the drama, he plays the role of a young college professor who is centered around perfectionism. His character may seem annoying and arrogant at first, but after a while, he will grow on you, especially during the moments he spends with the FL.

Overall, this drama is very good. The story was amazing, the acting was great, and this drama is definitely worth a rewatch!

Slow-paced drama

The drama is a relatively slow-paced drama, especially in the first half of the drama. It only really starts picking up after the truth behind the car crash was revealed. Overall, though, the drama was pretty good. Lennon Sun did a really great job portraying He Weifei (Xiao Bao), and Miles Wei's acting was also pretty natural. However, I wouldn't recommend rewatching the drama because of how slow the beginning is.

Love & candles

Apparently this is based on the K drama with the same title. I have seen said drama but years ago and all I remember are the candles and the Himalayas. But I remember liking it (though when time travel is concerned, i am not picky: I adore the concept!).

A man discovers a bunch of candles that can take him back ten years so he uses them in order to save his girlfriend's life. This is the basic plot: but it is eventually really complicated, with many changes accomplished in the past which radically altered the present.

I have to give it to the writers: every time I'd see a plot hole and say "Aha! Gotcha!" , they'd find a perfectly logical explanation in accordance with the overall plot. It is practically foolproof if, of course, you accept the original ridiculous premise of time travel inducing magical candles! There is also the advantage they had going with the short format: they did not have too much time to ruin the drama with unnecessary subplots and complications.

Production value is excellent, the pacing perfect, the acting solid, music nice.

Since it is a c drama and since they are not allowed to do time travel themed series, there is an epilogue after the credits of the last episode which explains, using some incomprehensible mumbo jumbo, that the whole thing was just a coma dream. The full version (3h50 on youtube) does not feature this epilogue so you will be left wanting answers since the story is incomplete (or rather left on a cliffhanger!).

Definitely one of the best short c dramas!

Well... Someone is really dead

Hah… What to say about this? I went into it completely blind, with my only reason for watching it was Barcode. And I think this definitely convinced me that I don't need to see everything that the actors I like are in.

To be clear, DFF was definitely not bad. On the contrary, I enjoyed the series. People who know me know that I don't like horror things, but this was probably the most horrory horror thing I've ever seen. The best part was when I was alone in the evening in my dorm room and watching this... Before I could take it off, I was already too curious about what was going to happen next.

For the entire first four episodes, I asked myself: "Wila, are you really going to watch something like this just because it's BL?" I'm not proud of it, but in part it really was. I told myself that I would drop after fifth episode, because Barcode was supposed to appear in the fifth, and then I would see. However, with the fifth episode, a flashback started, which lasted for several more episodes, and this flashback was no longer quite horror.

The first four episodes are really scary (at least for someone like me), but after the fifth episode, it slows down a bit. Horror turns into a psychological genre centered around high school kids. They want to make a movie and they need the help of the class weirdo, whom they like to bully.

I'm writing this review with quite a distance, but I still remember how I felt watching each new episode. I started watching when there were five of them and I looked forward to the rest every week.

I'm not going to go into the details of the plot so as not to reveal spoilers. I dare say that the story itself was really well written and the actors also did an amazing job. Most of them were just rookies and these were their first acting roles, but they did a really amazing job.

I apreciate Barcode the most. Partly because I already know him, but also largely because his character was full of all kinds of emotions and Barcode managed them all in one piece. He was able to play love, pain, fear, despair, frustration, madness... And everything was believable.

Overall, I don't have a problem watching something like this (BL and everything that belongs here) in public, but I watched DFF exclusively when I was alone because I'm too expressive a person and things like bulging eyes, gasping for breath, gasping for breath at certain moments and sometimes screaming into a pillow are not for me nothing special.

I've read various comments on facebook, instagram or MyDramaList, and I came across opinions that some people don't like any of the characters. I totally understand them. This really isn't the type of story where you can say the characters are cuties because they're not at all.

But once I got into an argument about one character that I don't want to say is a villain, because everyone in DFF is a villain in a way. It just depends on who you think did the worst thing, because it all ties together in some way, and I think if even one event hadn't happened, the story would have gone in a completely different direction.

One character was probably hated the most by everyone, but I liked him for some reason. I did not justify his actions, but when I got to know his background, I perceived him completely differently. To say that I liked him is perhaps too much, let's say rather that I didn't hate him.

If I remember correctly, the flashback ended in the ninth or tenth episode, and then we brought the ss back to the present again, where new facts are revealed.

All the time, I was consumed by the question, is there something supernatural behind all the bad things that are happening there or is everything the work of man. I was leaning towards the first option, but to be honest, I would be much more pleased with the second one. Not because I wanted fantasy, but because it was all really twisted and I was sick of the idea that a living person could do such a thing.

The end... Um... I really don't know what to write about this without giving something away. I'll just say that I never expected a happy ending and I didn't get one. However, not a happy ending does not mean a bad ending in the sense that it was not handled well. I have some reservations about it, and maybe someone who loves horror movies would have a lot more, but I liked the ending. I noticed a long time ago that the last episode is sometimes completely unnecessary in Thai BLs, and here I was of the same opinion for about half of the episode, but the last scenes made up for it all.

Overall, even though this is far from something I would willingly watch if I knew what it was about, I have to say that I really enjoyed the show. As far as possible, of course. I know there are people who enjoy horror movies, but I'm not one of them. I rather enjoyed the psychological part, which really made my stomach growl, but it was also full of deep themes such as bullying and its possible consequences on the psyche or the fact that the truth always comes out, no matter how long it takes.
