Feeling pressured by Do Ji's mother, Lady Ye Jin rejects Do Ji's marriage proposal. Hur Jun's family relocates. Hur Jun continues his studies. While out hunting in the woods, Hur Jun encounters a mysterious man and desperately begs to be taken in as his apprentice. Back at the infirmary, Hur Jun gets demoted after being wrongfully accused of extorting a patient.
