Song Xiao Zhuang shows Liu Hui Rong the photos of Chen Jia Yu having supper with Director Ruan. Hui Rong is worried and questions Zhen Xin, who confirms that Director Ruan is her client. However, Hui Rong is not satisfied and wants Zhen Xin to fire Jia Yu so that she won’t have to entertain the client. Jia Yu’s mother insists that her daughter has integrity and will not do anything immoral. When Jia Yu meets Director Ruan for a drink the next day, Jia Yu’s mother, Hui Rong and Zhen Xin follow her. Perceiving Director Ruan to be sitting too close to Jia Yu, Hui Rong barges in and rebukes him for seducing a married woman before pulling Jia Yu away. Zhen Xin is terrified at the thought that she might have lost an important client, and Jia Yu is offended that her mother-in-law mistrusts her. Jia Yu lashes out at Zhen Hao for always working overtime or playing games and not hearing her out. Meanwhile, Zhen Xin lashes out at her mother for ruining her deal. Hui Rong personally apologizes to Director Ruan and salvages the situation by treating him to a meal at Xingyuanzhai. Unexpectedly, the meal evokes memories in Director Ruan, who was, in fact, born in Beijing. Zhen Xin’s business deal is thus saved. Jia Yu’s mother returns to Taiwan. Before leaving, she tells Jia Yu to find a good job so she can be financially independent and hold her own with her in-laws. (Source: Viu)
