Yu Mei accuses Li Jin as a murderer. Liu Song finds out that Li Jin was involved in the death of the showgirl of the theater, Zhu Li Ye. Yi Pin and the others decide to investigate Li Ye's death. However, they are turned away when they attempt to investigate it in the theater. Yi Pin and Ruo Xin ask for the emperor's permission for the investigation. Acting as special envoys, they try to question the workers of the theater, but to no avail. Ruo Xin finds a trap door under the stage in the theater. They fish out important evidence from the river.
