Lan Zhi launches a signal from his cell, prompting Yuan An and his troops to rescue him. While they do manage to defeat the bandits, Lan Zhi gets injured by a poisoned dagger thrown by He Zhun, who dies shortly after. As Lan Zhi grows weaker from the venom, Tian Shu drops by the camp and cures him while keeping his own identity a secret.
