Hinata's mother is wrapped up in her work life and although Hinata is understanding and tries to be strong about it, what she wants is the warmth of a family. Sota visits her mother and asks her to come see the play they're doing at the pre-school and helps her mother to understand what it is that Hinata needs. Ayukawa comes to terms with her feelings.
