Wei WuXian's invitation to Jin Ling's one-month anniversary arrives and the former is excited to attend. Wei WuXian then buys a tassel to gift Jin Ling, along with a bracelet that he made to repel low-level evil beings. Wei WuXian and Wen Ning then pass by QiongQi Way to reach the Carp Tower but are stopped by Jin ZiXun. The latter blames Wei WuXian for cursing him with one thousand boils and a hundred holes. As Jin ZiXun refuses to back down, he attacks and Wei WuXian controls Wen Ning to counter them. While fighting, Jin ZiXuan arrives to stop them. But Jin ZiXun's constant insults anger Wei WuXian, and the latter controls Wen Ning with his flute. However, Wen Ning accidentally kills Jin ZiXuan and chokes Jin ZiXun to death. This news reaches the others in the Carp Tower who are waiting for them to return and Jiang YanLi is in despair. In the Burial Mound, Wei WuXian wakes up in rage and blames Wen Ning for killing Jin ZiXuan. However, he then doubts himself and his choices made during the past year. Wen Qing then forces Wei WuXian to stay in bed while the siblings declare that they will turn themselves in. Although Wei WuXian actively rejects, Wen Qing says her final goodbyes before leading the Wen remnants to the Carp Tower for their long-awaited execution. (Source: Wikipedia)

Meng Yao's doing?

Why do I get the feeling that Meng Yao is behind all this? To me, he just has this creepy smile, that he always has something up his sleeve. Just a guess that maybe he put the idea (and maybe the curse) on Jin Zi Xun to ambush Wei Ying, which forced Jin Zi Xuan to intercede. Without Jin Zi Xuan, Meng Yao can be clan leader in the future.

All that effort, and WY loses the remaining Wen clan who willingly go to their death. It's a horrible ending for them. And I don't see the Jin clan leader being that different from the Wen clan leader in his greed and hunger for power. Does the cycle begin again?

Bless Wen Qing

Wen Qing is the saddest, most miserable character in this entire drama, hands down!

Xue Yang? Meng Yao? How are they more miserable? Their egos don't call for this kind of excuse making praise to cover for their inhumane acts!!

Wen Qing gave everything to her brother, and did everything she could to keep herself and him untainted.

So, many talk about Wen Ning being the saddest character, but that's not true! He received respect and love from quite a few people throughout his life. Who gave love and respect to Wen Qing? Jiang Cheng?

In her entire life she only had Wei Wu Xian and Wen Ning! She spent it entirely taking care of one or the other, while sacrificing herself every step of the way! What was HER reward?

...ground into dust...

My tears cannot stop falling! This is definitely ugly crying!
