Prince Jiao purposefully drives a wedge between Hao Lan and Lu Bu Wei so he can make his move on Hao Lan. Though Hao Lan avoids Lu Bu Wei, he watches her from afar and tries to protect and help her. At the banquet, the Princess of Han makes her presence known and takes charge of all the theatrics by pitting Princes Jiao and Yu against each other in archery. Very much like Princess Agents

It is very much like Yuwen Yue's relationship with his Grandfather in Princess Agents. It has a lot of story line similarities . The hostage Prince, the love obsessed Princess, Fatuous King. The savvy Queen. The main character being of high caste but reduced to slave .It is practically the same story line.
