In Jung rejects Yong Gi but even so, Yong Gi is certain that In Jung is in love with him. That night, Yong Gi wakes up from the nightmare of Joanne’s suicide once again and decides to forget her. Fed-up of being held by this guilt, Yong Gi burns down the ‘Joanne’s tree’. The next morning, Yong Gi purposefully takes In Jung to the burnt ‘Joanne’s tree’ and expresses his intention to start a new life. In Jung finally accepts Yong Gi. Meanwhile, after doing some searches, Soo Hwan finally manages to locate In Jung and meet her. But In Jung angrily tells Soo Hwan to stay away from her. Soo Hwan returns home disappointedly and finds Mr Yoon near his house. He then deduces the relationship between Mr. Yoon and Joo Ran. President Kang’s wife tracks down In Jung and invites her to President’s birthday party.
