The newly formed trio reaches the island in a boat. They enter an abandoned building to be met with a cloaked figure who tells them to find the missing pieces of the puppets in the hall or they shall never be able to leave. Sima Dang's suspicions about the island are confirmed. Jian decides to crack the case and Zhao tries to persuade him to leave the island as no good would come of it. Jian asks him to stall the boatman from leaving them in the island. Ming Yue decides to stick with Jian as she believes he is the best candidate to get the clues.
