Finished the whole drama in less than 48 hours
I never write reviews but only for those dramas that I give 10/10!Like others, I've been waiting for YangZi's new drama with Cheng Yi, and didn't think to give this drama a try because I wasn't familiar with the ML. My mistake! I gave it a try and WOW, I didn't think Yangzi could surprise me more with her acting skills and it introduced me to the ML along with how amazing his acting skills are as well. The chemistry in this drama is honestly better than anything I've seen! (Honestly might even be better than Ashes of love...
The plot is interesting but their love story is even more touching. Any Yangzi drama makes me try so don't forget to grab some tissues along the way!
The plot twist, in the end, was a little surprising but I felt like it lead to the best ending the viewers could ask for :) a happily ever after.
For those who question if they should watch this, please give it a try before taking a pass because you might just get obsessed after ep 1!

Amazing love story
I have never watched such a beautiful drama with a story of true love. I'm still listening to OST because it's such a wonderful song. Xiao Zhang and Yang Zi are great actors and I can't stop admiring their high level of acting. After this drama, I have the opportunity to see works of Yang Ji, who played amazingly! I liked the moments when they were together. It's so warm and cute. I believed in their love story. Other characters are also interesting and I'm glad to see new people in the drama industry! Engaging and enjoyable watch so far
I dropped the last 4 dramas I started so didn't have high hopes for this one, but wanted to see Xiao Zhan in a modern drama so I'm giving it a chance. So far, I'm enjoying it. I have not read the book, this review is based on the drama series.Xiao Zhan plays Gu Wei a surgeon in a gastroenterology center. He is serious, solemn, and emotionally closed off to outsiders. He doesn't crack a smile until the 3rd episode. He has OCD and may be on the Autism Spectrum ; see odd and awkward communication with Lin Zhixiao.
Yang Zi plays Lin Zhixiao a musician who is struggling with parental expectations. She's immature, bubbly, and a bit over the top. She seems too cheerful sometimes for a daughter whose father was just diagnosed with cancer.
Positives: The acting is solid. The song The Greatest Fortune is fantastic, Beginning in episode 3, Xiao Zhan as Gue Wei start opening up and begins showing a range in his expression. Gu Wei and Lin Zhixiao have some cute, but cliche moments.
Negatives: Sometimes the background music is strange and doesn't fit the more serious scenes. The series can't seem to decide if it's a drama or romantic comedy. I find Lin Zhixiao a bit annoying at times. And I really could care less for the 2nd female and male leads. It took me 9 episodes in to finally remember their names.

Oath of love, definitely must watch
Loving Oath of love. It's really a light hearted romcom. The chemistry and interaction between xiao Zhan and Yang Zi is great. Their acting is natural, not exaggerating non dramatic. It realistic , natural, not love at first sight scenario. There are like scenes that take place in our everyday lives.Their relationship started with a misunderstanding but as they started to interact more, they got to know each other better. They both carrying past hurts and wounds in their own life. As their relationship develops, they are able to provide comfort and encouragement to overcome their hurts.
Their interactions had been so cute and light hearted. I love the short stories that they filmed at the end of each episode, its so sweet like any couple's conversation.

THE OATH OF LOVE MAKES ME WANT TO FALL IN LOVE AGAIN!
I love Yang Zi and always enjoyed her dramas. She truly makes her character come to life and entrances me with all her little expressions. Some emotions are hard to convey on screen and Yang Zi never fails to surprise me. Her portrayal on being someone you want to protect to how feisty and strong she was really made me adore Xiao Xiao. I was not very familiar with Xiao Zhan until I watched this drama. I genuinely was surprised by his acting. He portrayed Gu Wei strong and cold, but once you broke through this barrier he was someone who was loyal and would be there for you. Xiao Zhan made me yearn for a Gu Wei in my life. I enjoyed watching Gu Wei’s character evolve into the loving and tender man for Xiao Xiao.Xiao Xiao and Gu Wei’s story was pure and sweet. There were many awww moments and almost scenes you wished to be more naughty. ☺️ Like every relationship there are many hurdles to over come. I liked that there wasn’t any love triangles and that the focus was just about them learning and growing with one another. I definitely love Gu Wei’s bossy and protective nature toward Xiao Xiao and traditional beliefs when it came to relationship and marriage. Gu Wei’s actions toward Xiao Xiao made me weak in the knees. Xiao Xiao was adorable and very green when it came to being in a relationship. You can see her brightness and innocent allure, but at the same time her strength for what she believed in.

Light hearted!!! Fluffy Light hearted

This is a great drama with my favorite actor and actress done right. The plot line was short but had a great meaning.The two had great chemistry and there were a lot of scenes with just the two of them so I did enjoy that aspect.
One of the setbacks was the incomplete story of second and third couples .But to say i did enjoy their screen time together.It was quite mature and had a great acting and was quite different from the normal rom coms or other family drama.
What i hated was the characters who chased the main leads.It created quite some misunderstanding.
It taught some life lessons about family .Despite their 9 years or so age difference their chemistry was great.It is definitely worth watching and it truly satisfied the 2 years of waiting after postponing its airing date.
According to my experience it is definitely worth your time.

Sweet drama
Nothing new in this drama , a doctor fall in love with his patient daughter . How he pursue her . Then how there relationship went and then one a time had came because of which he had to leave her as he found himself helpless ,useless and not upto her level . He thought he would not stand upto her parents' expectations and he broke up with her . When she came to know about the reason of break up . She said to her as a doctor may you again regain your place but as a boyfriend you failed and she was very upset from him and not ready to patch .This shown in the drama . It was normal story .
Happy ending was there in the drama.

Its a sweet love story with a family oriented drama
I actually love this version than the book,this drama is very satisfying ,I'm on ep 1 to 6, I'm waiting for more episodes,the story is getting intense between our leads,the drama really makes me want to be in love over and over again,they have very strong chemistry ,cute but not trying to be cute hot but not to hot,the simplicity of the actor's makes the drama realistic and watchable, Yang Zi the best on crying since and monologs and XIAO ZHAN show his acting skills here..i wish they do more drama together cause ?❤?

I love this drama..especially Xiao Zhan role as Gu wei , its a lovely story . Everyone doing great..I love the plot and the way Zhan play his role . I cant wait to see another episodes. Every character is well balance and unique appearance . I fell in love with this drama. It had a great cast, and it’s an excellent rom com / slice of life drama. I have a very good happy feeling each time I spend time watching this show. Im getting my family to watch with me and were enjoying it so much.First thing I liked: very chaotic meet-cute (an essential in romcoms) but also I love how despite the misunderstandings they didnt drag it out or milked for several episodes.
Second thing I liked: The ACTING! Im fairly shocked I havent watched Xiao Zhan dramas yet because he’s really quite good. I already like Yang Zi but Im not really a dedicated fan of cdrama actresses or actors, I just like what I like when I like it. this show have a really good male and female lead, and that hit me early on when they have scenes together. Very good chemistry.
Third: the build up. The build up is good. Ive only seen 6 episodes but so far I commend the show for a great build up and pace. They built up the main characters well. I dont hate either and in fact I sympathize with them both, a testament to how good the leads are.
Finally. I think people should give this show a try. The show has a way of sneaking up on you. Just dive in, and dont even read the reviews or summaries. Go and watch.

This drama is sweet, fun, smooth and romantic. If you joy love stories you'll like it! If you need relax, you will. The main leader played for Xiao Zhan know how show the personality from Dr. Gu. Know how makes we laugh and fall in love in each single detail of the character. The femal leader played by Yang Zi is amazing! She is a master of comedy and the way of Lin Zinxiao is so simple and sincere, makes you love and laugh her character. The chemistry between the two actors, Xiao Zhan and Yang Zi is incredible! Them improvisations on the scenes makes you feel so confortable with the couple. I love so much this drama!Was this review helpful to you?
The only thing i can criticize is waiting 1 episodes x day, i’m so used to bing watching on netflix.
Currently watching and for now i’m really loving this show, i like that there also other themes beside the love story. The both protagonists are convincing and i find them really cute, i like to watch the development of their story.
I have to say that i’m falling in love with the doctor too! Ahah The character is really cute and funny and the actor really impressed me, really talented and handsome, he brought out a good portrait of a character with many layers of emotion and character. Besides i love the heroine’s mother and all the part about her family.
I’m really looking forward for the next episodes, until now the plot is really good and never bored me! Probably i’ll edit my review when the drama will be ended
Another note: production, editing and bgm are really good.
So, my first cdrama and i’m love it, if all cdrama has this quality i can really consider to watch more in the future
