Finger-bitting

This show is shockers piled upon shockers, with new battle lines drawn by the episode. Every time I think nothing can top the past episodes, I find I couldn’t be more wrong as we are jolted with a finger-biting ‘love’ (if we can even call it that) scene that will be the talk of kdramaland for a long time to come. Sun Woo decides to leave Gosan, but nothing ever seems to go her way. Today’s episode was all about poor JY as he comes unhinged, sinking lower than ever possible his self-regarding parents are forced to finally turn their attention to the broken mess they’ve made of their blameless son. And to top it off his and their unpleasant secret(s) are revealed further confusing and alienating them all. It was hard to watch Sun Woo broken and ultimately defeated not even when she learned of her husband’s infidelity did she break the way her son broke her. What was hardest to watch was to see those vultures, with DK being the worst of them, gaining the upper hand on her, and getting her on her knees. It was so painful I had tears in my eyes. Tae Oh sinks lower every episode to the point where it’s just his head sticking out of the ground -- to let Sun Woo be humiliated after what she did for him, what a bastard -- unforgivable. Finding out that JY saw his divorced parents going at it explains his subsequent behavior, anger, and confusion. I have no clue where things go from here but cannot help and wonder if DK is finally getting what she's always wanted – Sun Woo out of town.
