Lee Shin is a university student majoring in modern music. He is the vocalist of the band "The Stupid" and also plays the guitar. He is known for his good looks and his strong passion for music but is in reality a cold person who is uninterested in non-music related things and has no dreams nor plans for the future. Shin initially likes a dance professor at his university, but this all changes when he meets Lee Kyu Won. Lee Kyu Won is a bright and outgoing student who was born into a prestigious family and is majoring in traditional Korean instruments, especially the gayageum. Kyu Won's grandfather, Lee Dong Gun, is one of the top 3 traditional musicians of his age, and his biggest wish is to have his granddaughter trained to become a traditional music prodigy in 10 years' time. Trying to live up to her grandfather's expectations, Kyu Won immerses herself in training and becomes a university student who knows nothing besides traditional music. As Kyu Won's friends are fans of "The Stupid", she was forced to go to the band's concert with them. There, she saw Lee Shin performing live and is immediately captivated by him.

Same vibes: cohabitation and best friends.
The various love relationships are also quite similar.

The set-up and story-line for these two shows are different (Let's Eat is about neighbours, food and a murder mystery, and 2 Outs in the 9th Inning is about two best friends in their 30s and their love lives (not really about baseball)).

What they have in common is this:
- funny
- strong, likeable side cast (no evil exes or mother-in-laws)
- incredible CHEMISTRY between the leads, the kind that makes you rewatch the kissing scenes. =)

Easy watch Rom-Coms
But Sincere and Meaningful
Romance develops slowly and beautifully
Non-Childish themes
Gentle and Healing
Both dramas are something to Cherish and adore
Captivating. You wish it never ends

Both are classic nostalgia kdramas

Although the plot of these two dramas are very different I feel like they are similar in two large ways. The writing, acting and the situations of both dramas are very mature and set in an adult world with adult problems. The other way they are similar is the lead couple are friends who turn into lovers. If watched The World They Live In and appreciate the mature themes you may find that same quality appealing in 9 End 2 Outs.
