I LOVE THIS

This was such a funny episode, all the characters have great chemistry and the plot is so cool. Jennie is a queen. You found yourself laughing at times and other times sad. This so far is a great drama, it’s a really good comedy but I can tell it will be serious at times- a perfect mix. Looking forward to watching the next ep, I’m in love with all the characters and Pan + Sodas friendship aswell as Way + Kim’s friendship.

a promising pilot

Ep 1 - OpinionsThe story is promising though it's like a high budget HIStoy 1 - My Hero Thai version. The actors who played each roles are commendable. The cinematography is also good. I can't really tell if this series will be good...but I'm rooting for this.My only concern in this series is the part when Pan (a girl) asked P'Jennie--Angel of Death--a question but she got rejected. But when Kim (a guy) asked the question, he got an answer. I know it's too early to judge a series but... it's kind of obvious how the writers in GMMTV is off in terms of women/girls representation. I know it's for comedic relief, but I hope it ends in this episode. This series seems to have a lovely and bubbly female characters. Hopefully, they will not make these female leads look toxic like how they turned Pam in 2gether the series.

A Promising Start

From the trailer, I got the sense that they would treat the material as a comedy and that's what initially drew me in. The BL niche, especially from GMMTV, has exploded into ripe ground for satire within the last couple of years. I was hoping they would use this opportunity to hit two birds with one stone: cater to fans while also poking fun at them—not maliciously (because at the end of the day they still fuel this niche industry for profit so they can't exactly take the high ground) but in a way that lets them feel like they're in on some secret joke that the the "locals" can't be privy towards.I think playing it for high camp was the bold but ultimately correct move. This is best exemplified by the scenarios that our two fic writers create. Yeah, it's cringe, but that's what stuff like that really does read like— and that's fine! It's written by young people for fun so they can revel in some escapism. It's not meant to be the next great piece of literature. I'm a little too used to discussions about this treating it like it's some reporable thing—here no one's villainizing Pan or Soda for that stuff, just telling them to keep their head out of the clouds all the time. Both Kim and Khet's reactions were so wholesome and it was a welcome change from the landscape. So overall, I was surprised in a good way. I think this has the potential to be one of the best things GMMTV puts out this year. Hopefully the vision won't get lost along the way.

about an unconfident girl falling in love for the 1st time in her life...?

The plot that Pam and Soda's fan fiction brought Way and Kim into trouble reminds me of Xiao Zhan and the mess starting from among February 27.It seems that Pam has low self-esteem which is perhaps a trait shared by all the shippers who ship someone around them, different from fans who ship their idols. So I guess in the later episodes Pam will grow confident and finally fall in love—to be honest I think Kim has already fallen. And according to the teaser Kim's younger brother also had a crush on her. It is possible that there will emerge triangle love or even more complicated… I really wonder what relationship is Kim and Way? Best friends? How did these 2 from different backgrounds have a friendship? Maybe I can refer to PeteKao to try to understand it temporarily. Nonetheless, hope it will be furthered in later episodes.PS: that WayKim part in Pam and Soda's creation is really something. Even hotter than some real BL dramas produced by gmmtv(nah…

The Expected

The idea behind giving this score on the first episode is that there was no hidden twist in it. Things went as they were expected. The trailer gave it off from the get-go but it was exciting nonetheless. Jennie is looking ravishing and "killing" it in her role. ;-)In the trailer, we know that Kim x Way ship is the prime. However, the potential ships such as Kim/Pan x Khet and Kim/Pan x Soda is exciting too. Why? there are so many layers to the secondary ship!Kim/Pan x Khet: On the surface, it's an incest gay love but the fact that Khet could see past Kim's appearance and feel Pan is not just romantic but spiritually uplifting. You may think, that is just Khet being straight in a way, but it's more in the realm of Pansexuality.Kim/Pan x Soda: On the surface, Soda's affection seems straight towards P'Kim but in actuality, she is seeing past Ki's appearance and feeling Pan, which is similar to Khet but that's where we tend to feel lesbian and omnisexuality, meaning that Soda identifies Kim being gay for Way but doesn't care anyway because she knows it's Pan and she holds feelings for her.Kim x Way: The classic of gay and bisexual relationship. Because Kim although showed interest in Pan slightly in episode 1 but so far he isn't with someone so we still don't know whether he would really choose Way if he had a chance. Way being romantically involved with Pingping is going to get attracted towards Kim which gives off the feeling that he is a bisexual male. That boils down to one thing - What is Pan's sexuality? She is a shipper in the series but what about her own love life? Who would she choose when it's time to go back to her own body? Hmm.. so many questions. I'm excited to know what unfolds for the series that replaced 2gether the series. I have high hopes.
