The soldiers keep telling Duan Mu to marry Gu Chang so they don't need to fight. The demon tribe will fight the humans from within. The demons make use of Cheng Qi as a mole from within. Duan Mu punished a general for hurting Wen Gu Wei Yu who is a new recruit for doing nothing but speaking the truth. During the recruitment Lord Jiang also joins. Yu Du from Duan Mu's brigade goes to be a scout and is captured. Duan Mu has a dream and sees Zhan Yan's back. Zhan Yan infiltrates the enemy camp and saves Yu Du.
