The hairpin turns out to be part of the Penglai Drawing. Meng Die wakes up being able to see with the demon's eyes. Zhan Yan doesn't wake up after everyone else starts waking up. Duan Mu Cui gives him a proposition that he can't refuse to get him to wake up. The demons plan to make Duan Mu Cui lose her powers. Hong Lun keeps getting injured touching things she shouldn't. There is another murder with strange circumstances. The people are poisoned and not really sick, but the doctor doesn't know what the poison is.
