Majo no Jouken (1999)

A classic Japanese drama back in the 90's & one of my favorite recommended Japanese drama. About older FL a new teacher in ML school. How she slowly approaching him to be a good student & in a process the both fall into forbidden love. Takizawa Hideaki such an eye candy & this drama is worth watching.

Michi, a 26-year-old high school math teacher, tentatively accepts her boyfriend's proposal of marriage, uncertain of her love for him, but feeling pressure from her father and society to do what is expected of her. Hikaru is a 17-year-old boy frustrated by his home life with his single mother. After being expelled from many high schools for bad behaviour, he enters Michi's class as a new transfer student. As their relationship grows, they realize they both feel they've lost themselves to the pressures of those around them, and it is this common bond that draws them dangerously close. What follows is a heart-wrenching story of forbidden love where Michi must face society's judgement for corrupting a minor, abandoning her fiance, and disappointing her parents and co-workers.

A man and a woman meet for the first time. The handsome stranger, asked her to spend one day with him. The woman has never taken a dangerous risk in her life. She has been with her lover for seven years and is going to get married next month. For the first time she will experience a level of excitement and intimacy, she has never experienced before with the man she met only today.

Eun Mo is back in her hometown, Paju after spending three years of soul searching in India. However, the reality she returns to is far from comforting as she is faced with a dreaded reunion with her widower brother-in-law, Joong Shik. Almost a decade ago when Joong Shik came to Paju as a student activist fugitive, Eun Mo never took a liking to Joong Shik who ended up marrying her older sister, Eun Soo. But she was forced to live with him when a tragic accident took her sister’s life. During a course of three years, Eun Mo gradually discovered she was carrying complex emotions toward Joong Shik. Having felt trapped, she decided to leave Paju. Eun Mo believed she had resolved all emotional conflicts in India, but as she digs further into her sister’s death, she becomes torn between the truth and her feelings for Joong Shik.

About a young FL & ML student they are a couple but too many obstacles for them to be together. A sad yet touching love story. Toosaka Hiromi is adorable here. I like his other movie Snow Flower too.

Both have a very mature storyline centering a grown woman who is having a hard time finding herself. They feature growth and both have their own shining points.

Amaki Rinko is 27-years-old and single. She works as a wedding planner and has been promoted to chief of wedding planners. She is recognized for her excellent work at her job and also as a person with a good heart, but she has a complex. That she is still a virgin.

Meanwhile, her colleague Kamisaka Gen is also 27-years-old and single. He has the most contracts as a wedding planner. He also has an attractive appearance. Rinko happens to know that Gen is also a virgin. Rinko invites Gen to a love motel.

Really a touching sad love story between a illness FL with ML but she hiding it from ML & go away on her own without saying goodbye. You need to watch it so you can feel the emotion. This movie based on Nakashima Mika song Yuki no Hana.

Main character abandons her fiance when she falls in love with one of her students.

Aizawa Naoya is happily married to his colleague Kana but faces temptation to cheat on his wife when a new employee Tachibana Noa joins his branch and seduces him repeatedly with all sorts of antics.

Now this is a 1999 japanese classic series. This is not a romcom but a heavy drama love story of a young student and his teacher who falls in love with each other. This is not the taboo kind because they fell in love like love at first sight without even knowing their status of being student and teacher. It teaches about love,life, and how society condemn them and still fought to be together. TEAR JERKER!

Shoji Shoko is a 26-years-old beautiful woman who works hard and is admired by everyone. The problem she has is that she’s still a virgin. To change herself, she decides to move into a love-hunting sharehouse called “Love House", and she ends up living with six other people; three guys and three girls. Relationships in the "Love House" become complicated, and Shouko's love life takes an unexpected turn.

The story are similar where the female lead are teachers/tutor who are stuck in a society that people want them to be a certain way. Here comes the young male lead who falls in love with female lead.

Both are Japanese dramas or movies with a forbidden love between a high school student and his or her teacher.
