Sam Saeng is released thanks to Bong Mu Ryong's help. Bong Mu Ryong feels very betrayed to find out that it was Geum Ok who had reported Sam Saeng to the police. Ji Seong is unable to go and see Sam Saeng even after she is released because of the guilt he feels for writing the statement about Sam Saeng being a spy. Meanwhile, Sa Gi Jin tells the police investigator that Dong Wu has the same cufflink in order to avoid his punishment. Bong Mu Ryong finds out the entire truth and Geum Ok leaves the house.
