Jingjing comes across her old crush's account on the game when he accidentally adds her to his group game and she refuses to leave. When they were young Yu Tu rejects her and instead starts dating another girl who he wanted to work with. Turns out they have broken up and he is single. Jingjing joins Yu Tu's gaming group and realizes he is very good at the game. Therefore she tries to join them again and learn from them. (Source: Autumn carrot at MyDramaList)

Despite her character's celebrity a lot of this feels so real

Yu Tu's obvious struggle with what life goals to pursue - his science ideals versus practical $$$ concerns - really touch home. The different ways society values careers is just as problematic in the West as it is in China. And the dichotomy between his math, science & technical genius against her obvious emotional / social genius plays out quickly as she starts to manipulate him into helping her.

Perfect pacing

As someone who read the book beforehand, the adaptation is absolutely perfect so far! I love the pacing of the story, not too fast and not too slow, it's flowing out perfectly
