Ru’er sneaks back into Li Manor to find the iron mineral vein map. She overhears Hong Bin giving his father the map that they have found in the Treasury’s secret compartment. His father gives it back to him because only the duke will have access to it and Hong Bin will be inheriting the title from him anyway. A Shuang reports to Song Zhi that their men are in place. They will put their plan in motion if Ru’er fails to get the map. Ru’er is caught while looking for the map in Hong Bin’s residence.
