Gu Nan Ting is worried about Cheng Xiao's safety and goes to her house to check on her. She feels surprised about the landlord-tenant relationship between them. Cheng Xiao remembers that she had previously shared with him her feelings of love for her "devil boss", which implied her romantic feelings toward him. Gu Nan Ting is unsure of his feelings toward Cheng Xiao at the moment and shifts the conversation away from the topic. Cheng Xiao notices that Gu Nan Ting seems emotionally distant and decides to approach him slowly in the hopes of getting to know him better. (Source: Viu)

"Catch up to you"

Wow, it broke my heart a little that FL used the exact same words that ML's dead girlfriend used right before her accident. ML is already having such a hard time letting her go after all these years, and being reminded in that way will probably make him close himself up again. Of course, FL doesn't know about her, so she doesn't know what she's up against. Uphill battle.
