MALE LEAD IS A CONDESCENDING ASSHOLE THAT NO DECENT PERSON COULD POSSIBLY ROOT FOR
Male lead is an arrogant condescending piece of sh*t. He is unnecessarily antagonistic towards everyone he meet. The only person he has treated with a modicum of respect is their old teacher and the rocker chick. He publicly abuse and humiliates his friends and classmates and somehow everyone just accepts it because he's an all knowing genius. He does not apologise, the people he mistreats just accepts it and move on. The drama in no ways attempt to explore the fact that this is not an appropriate way to treat colleagues. The message seems to be, he's a genius that's right and taught them a valuable lesson by being a cunt, so they should just suck it up and continue to learn from such a master.I have never taken an intense dislike to a main character this early in a drama and I'm someone that's very partial to flawed main characters in dramas. However, only when dramas are intelligent enough not to brush their character's flaw aside, excusing it as the unconventional behaviour of a genius.
Here's how it goes:
- Genius male lead notice an error by another character, instead of highlighting it and speaking to them respectfully, he publicly berates and humiliates that person.
- Female lead calls him out and he doubles down.
- The other person, unhappy with how they've been treated, storms out.
- Female follows and talk to the person.
- Person says that genius male lead was right about the error and they'll continue to learn and grow under tutelage of genius male lead.
- Conflict resolved.
In the 7 episodes I've watched, this circle repeats itself about 2-3 times and its very likely to continue to do so throughout most of the drama because the source of the conflict (his mistreatment of others) is actually never dealt with. Therefore the male lead does not face any consequence for his actions, never has to reflect and learn from his shortcomings to be a better person. The drama instead seems to be banking on the female lead love softening him up and making him a better person as the drama progress. And judging by his condescending attitude in episode 1, her love does not seem to have succeed in changing him for the better.
Even the female lead was starting to disgust me because by episode 6 and 7, she becomes an enabler of his abhorrent behaviour. She cannot convince him to apologise or acknowledge his mistreatment of others, so she places the emotional burden of making things right on those he's mistreated. That she is falling for someone she saw publicly humiliate not just his friend but also her friend, is just mind-boggling. Every-time he invades her personal space, backed her to a wall/gets in her face (which is this drama's attempt at creating an intense moment of chemistry between the leads ), I just roll my eyes at the absurdity. Like, "gurrrrrl, is this really doing it for you?"
These are not characters you're rooting for to end up together and you may find yourself at some point, like I did, rooting for the male lead to fail just to see him knocked down a peg. That honestly, for me, is the only acceptable reason to continue watching this drama.

Stop Romanticizing Toxic Behavior
This glorification of men who treat women like garbage needs to stop.How can the FL be an educated, bright person if she falls for him?
He is not cool or aloof .. he's arrogant, rude, narcissistic, and very self absorbed.
I don't care what hairstyle or color they give him, he's not attractive due to his personality.
I thought this would be a cute albeit somewhat angsty watch.
It was a hot mess of abuse in varying forms and I only watched 4 episodes.
The FL is belittled, ridiculed, humiliated, physically kicked, called names more than once, and then he destroyed her school laptop by installing a virus.
Oooooh, he's so talented.
It wiped out all of her systems (core included) and all of her work, saved and current, is gone.
Do you know how infuriating that would be to a real student?
Instead everyone is gloating and praising him, all the while the FL is wandering around behind him like a puppy with a broke laptop.
He continues to be snide and insult her, as if he was in the right.
Sheer stupidity.
I feel nothing but disgust for the ML and can not imagine he can redeem himself enough for me to root for him.
Especially as other comments made seem to indicate he gets even worse as the show progresses.
The drama world needs a revamp.

Male lead with Toxic traits!!!
Unpopular Opinion and Spoiler alert!!!!Li Xun (male lead) with genius coding ability meets up a cute yet strong headed girl Zhu Yun in college. They had another from Gao who turns out to be the villain charecter later..
Male lead Li Xun-
Absolutely toxic, just because he is genius he looks down on everyone. Has no sense of respect towards others opinion, would he valued Gao a little then he could get a friend for life and not an enemy.
Later he kinda did same with his buddy from the jail too..
Li Xun loves Zhu Yun but continuously kept things hidden from her. Also for no reason he always get privileges, like for what reason??? Just because he is genius!!
I dint understand why throughout the show he tried to push away the enormous love and positivity of Zhu Yun so hard that she kinda became obsessed with him!! Like what was his point? He is a 10/10 red flag and he is the reason Gao became a villain!!!
May be deep down he is a soft hearted person, may be but what exactly did Zhu Yun so bad that he crushed her heart like anything with his harsh words that too again n again!!! Nobody wants this kinda soft hearted arrogance in their life...
Liao Gao -
The third wheel of the trio and the villain -
I liked how the makers portray his charecter. He was a good human being and was loyal towards his buddy Li Xun, all he wanted Li Xun to acknowledge him for at least some thing. But Li Xun kept on disrespectinh him and literally made him a negative charecter!!
Female lead Zhu Yun
A strong headed, cute girl. She fell for Li Xun hard that she becomes obsessed with him. She got rejected by Li Xun many times, he humiliated her for her family yet she kinda protected and justified all his toxic traits..
Allover story -
Too much dragged and I kept on fast forwarding. The love between the leads felt like one sided obsession of the FL!
Ost - I like the tracks.
I don't know what is the reason of 9 /10 floating on the review section but the toxicity of ML and obsession of FL pretty much annoyed me.
I won't rewatch it anyway!!!

WATCH IT FOR THE COUPLE!! THE ML AND FL ARE PERFECTTT
i did like this drama especially the fl and ml. li xun was portrayed so well by chen feiyu and HE IS SO FINE. i loved his hair and i was kind of sad that they changed it but it shows he has matured. HIS PERSONALITY WAS AMAZING , I TOTALLY FELL IN LOVE WITH HIM! zhu yun was played by such a beautiful actress zhang jing yi . she really does give off innocent princess vibes and li xun'a VOICEEE especially when he calls her princess! i mostly enjoyed the past episodes of when they were at university but the ones in the present were also a nice touch touch . would recommend if you like cold boy x innocent girl dramas. totally fell in love with the cp their chemistry was unbeatable. episode 18 was my faveeee.Was this review helpful to you?

Don't bother to watch if you don't understand programming language
This is supposed to be a very good drama given that I love red-flag ML and revenge plot. However, it's not what I expected it to be.Previously, I had peeked on the first episode then dropped it immediately. Later, I picked it up again and managed to stay at EP 6. But, I don't have any feeling to watch anymore. The programming language is absolutely confusing and my head nearly exploded - seriously.
Also, I can't feel the chemistry between the main leads. I wish I could see some sparks, but I just couldn't. Their acting was decent enough, though. Supporting characters are so-so. I can't say too much since I haven't watched the entire drama.
As the title suggests, do not TRY it unless you're interested in computer/programming because it's going to be very, very boring and dull. Or you can have a little sneak peek when there's nothing else to watch. Don't tell me I haven't reminded you not to watch it though.
P.S.
Coincidentally, I have a friend who's like the ML in this drama (He treats everyone in a rude manner and only has soft spot for me). Yes, I previously developed a bickering relationship with him too, but now we're friends (but not in a RELATIONSHIP yet). This drama will always remind me of our friendship and yes, with the same plotline of course.

Tinha deixado de ver drama chineses e hesitei ver este mas ainda bem que decidi ver!Na verdade a minha explicação para deixar a séries chineses prendeu-se com o facto de em 99% dos casos as actrizes chinesas parecerem crianças, não só no aspecto mas atuando como tal. É ridículo ver alguém a desempenhar um papel de uma mulher de vinte e muitos anos e passar a maioria do tempo aos gritinhos, a fingir que é tímida e a ter diálogos de adolescente.
Nesta série, pela primeira vez em muito tempo, todos os papéis atribuídos às mulheres são maduros e coincidentes com as idades.
Quer a actriz principal, quer as secundárias, agem com pés e cabeça e defendem aquilo em que acreditam sem exageros!
Os actores são soberbos, em especial o que desempenha o papel principal. Grande actor pois consegue transmitir todas as emoções e pensamentos sem dizer uma palavra! Actua com o olhar e as expressões faciais.
A história está bem contada e consegue prender o espectador, sobretudo os mais jovens que se identificam com o mundo da Internet. Confesso que as explicações sobre programações passei à frente, pois sou da velha geração.
Voltarei a ver esta série um dia mais, pelo que recomendo vivamente este drama chinês

EXCELLENT drama, actuel, et surtout avec des acteurs GREAT GREAT !!
Style et réalisation différents des autres dramas (plus actuel, plus occidental).La tension entre les 2 leads est électrique. Je suis devenue une fan intégrale de ❤❤❤ Chen Fei Yu ❤❤❤ (qui est un acteur génial, tout en sensibilité, en micro-expressions, en regards... et très beau, ce qui ne gâche rien ;) !
Plot : rencontre à la fac, d'un groupe de développeurs, leur évolution, leurs conflits,... avec un génie peu communicatif (qui finit par aller en prison) et une FL très amoureuse (mais qui n'ose pas aller contre l'opposition de sa mère).
Les débuts sont très accrocheurs. La suite devient un peu painfull, mais on reste accrochés par le jeu du CL.
Les personnages sont bien développés, avec des histoires cohérentes et une évolution psychologique convaincante.
Même les OST sont excellentes !!
Je conseille à tous cet EXCELLENT drama, actuel, et surtout avec de grands acteurs, qui n'incarnent pas, mais qui "sont" leur personnage - à tel point qu'on a du mal à les quitter.

Spero di riprenda
Partito benissimo, ero super entusiasta, mi ha incuriosito la tra trama e in particolare il personaggio di Li Xun. Arthur Chen è bravo, anche lei mi piace, bellissima la chimica tra i due ma arrivata a metà ho iniziato ad essere annoiata, troppa programmazione, Lao Gao non lo sopporto, personaggio debole, trovo interessante l'amica musicista e avrei voluto approfondissero di più su di lei.Spero che possa riprendersi nelle prossime puntate ma un drama che per me poteva essere da 10 si stà rilevando essere appena sufficiente. Non escludo possa riprendersi ma ormai per me è compromesso.
Diciamo che la parte del passato di sta perdendo strada facendo, aspetto il ritorno al presente

Beaucoup de bruit pour presque rien....
Soit j'ai vieilli, soit ce drama est mauvais....J'ai tenu bon, et je ne sais encore si j'aurai le courage de le finir. J'en doute.
Si le synopsis est intéressant, sans être novateur, l'écriture horrible des personnages (le livre ou le scénariste?) m'a fait grincer des dents plus d'une fois. Ajoutons à cela un jeu moyen des acteurs, il n'y avait plus grand espoir d'avoir ne serait-ce qu'un battement de coeur à travers une romance fade et une intrigue qui s'essouffle rapidement. Pourquoi ai-je donc détesté?
- La romance. J'ai compris depuis bien longtemps que tout dépend de chacun d'entre nous. Ce qui va me faire glousser n'aura aucun effet sur mon voisin et vice versa. C'est donc une question de perspective. Mais si certaines romances n'arrivent pas à me mettre des papillons au ventre, je peux tout de même reconnaitre la solidité du couple, ou la logique d'une relation. Ici....rien de tout cela, le couple n'aura pas réussi une seule fois à me faire ne serait-ce que sourire.... Li Xun est horrible (de mon point de vue, bien sur) avec Zhu Yun, dominateur, narcissique et centré sur lui. Je n'ai rien contre les bad guy, bien au contraire, ce sont bien souvent mes perso favori ( The wolf, Boys over Flowers (version thai), Love between fairy and Devil....). Mais, soit le jeu de Shen Fei Yu est excessivement mauvais, soit son personnage est super mal écrit! Il n'y a aucun équilibre entre Li Xun et Zhu Yun. Il y a cette mauvais impression : Li Xun ne se remet jamais en question et ne prend jamais en considération les autres, un personnage difficile à aimer.
Et Zhu Yun? Une princesse?? hum, je ne dois pas avoir la même définition de princesse que l'auteur ou le réalisateur. J'imaginais une princesse à l'image de Xia Lin Xi dans "Forever Love" par exemple, ou encore Shi Yi dans "One and Only".... Zhu Yun est ordinaire, classique et ne brille nullement par aucune des qualités d'une princesse : altière, gracieuse, lumineuse....Alors, certes, elle vient d'une famille aisée, mais cela est loin d'être suffisant pour être étiquetté "princesse".
Sa façon d'aimer Li Xun? loin d'être ma tasse de thé. Sa phrase " Il est mon roi, et je suis sa vassale" la résume assez bien.... Je suis loin d'être une féministe dans l'âme, mais proclamer fièrement que celui qu'on aime est le roi et qu'on est son vassal... c'est un peu limite.
D'ailleurs la romance m'a vaguement fait penser à "Forever Love", sauf que dans ce dernier, l'équilibre du couple est bien pesée et l'alchimie bien présente, pas de relation de dominant et de dominée.
- Les personnages secondaires? Ennuyants et presque inutiles si ce n'est paver le chemin de nos tourtereaux, leur mettre des embûches etc... En dehors de l'intrigue principale, les personnages secondaires n'ont aucune vie propre (pas de famille, pas d'amis en dehors du cercle, pas de passé qui leur sont propres, des amourettes rapides juste pour faire croire qu'ils évoluent...).
- Des vilains prétentieux, faisant acte de présence, histoire de mettre en valeur le protagoniste principal. Pareil, pas de passé propre à chacun, pas de vie en dehors de la parenthèse où ils croisent nos tourtereaux....
Peut-être que les choses s'améliorent après l'épisode 20, en attendant, je n'ai pas le courage de regarder encore plus de 15h un drama qui me frustre au plus haut point.
C'est un avis qui bien sur est personnel, fondé sur mes 12 années de drama-non-stop. Malgré une réalisation correcte et une jolie bande son, je n'ai pas été convaincue.

Il drama è STUPENDO. Dal primo ep all'ultimo non mi ha mai annoiata, l'ho letteralmente divorato, finito in "pochi" giorni perchè invece di dormire ero attaccata al pc (cosa assolutamente sbagliata, da non fare), non riuscivo a staccarmene. La chimica tra i due è incredibile. Più volte ho avuto il batticuore e fidatevi che vi fa sudare ogni più piccolo momento dei due insieme. Però ne vale assolutamente la pena.
La storia parte come un'opera adolescenziale/scolastica per poi trasformarsi in qualcosa di più adulto. Seguiamo i personaggi per tutta la strada, sia quando cercano di costruirsi un futuro a scuola, sia quando sono nel mondo del lavoro e cercano di crearsi un angolino per esprimersi con tutti problemi del caso. Ci innamoriamo di tutti e nel qual senso, quando passano da una fase all'altra, ho provato una strana sensazione di nostalgia come se io fossi stata con loro.
Il percorso di vita non è facile per nessuno dei personaggi, ma vale tutto.
Questo per me sarebbe un drama da 10.
L'unica cosa che mi frena dal dargli un voto così alto, è quello che succede verso la fine. C'è una scena particolarmente forte che mi ha fatto storcere il naso e come viene affrontata la cosa mi ha delusa assai perchè si tratta pur sempre di violenza e come la chiudono... No, è un no assoluto.
Rimane cmq un drama bellissimo, con una storia bellissima. Sicuramente uno dei migliori che ho visto finora nel 2023.
