bromance is better than the real romance
for some reason i felt like the story is too long and honestly i really hope the drugmon had more screentime, overall the fight scene is good and salute to the cinematographer who made that happen, there's a scene i think need more of a drama like when hanna find out about donggu health problem i think its not dramatic at all because the built up about that is already good but when he tell her about it it feels nothing. i really liked bromance between that fencing athlete with dongju bromance is good manWas this review helpful to you?
A fast, funny, and heartfelt ride with plenty of punch
𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗕𝗼𝘆 was simply a fun and energetic watch. It’s not trying to be groundbreaking — instead, it delivers solid entertainment through its mix of humor, friendship, and grit. The pacing is sharp, the characters are likable, and the chemistry among the leads makes every scene feel alive. The drama balances comedy and action surprisingly well. The sports backdrop adds tension and excitement, but what really stands out is the camaraderie and underdog spirit that runs through it. You can feel the 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗼𝗿, and 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 in every episode, even when things get a bit over the top.
Of course, it’s not perfect — some emotional moments are predictable, and the story doesn’t dive too deep into its themes. But that’s not really a flaw here; it knows exactly what kind of show it is and leans into it confidently. The lighthearted tone keeps it accessible while still offering flashes of intensity and sincerity.
In the end, 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗕𝗼𝘆 is one of those dramas that makes you laugh, cheer, and enjoy the ride. It’s energetic, feel-good television with just enough substance to keep you hooked.
Pros:
✔ Great 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 between leads
✔ Balanced 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗼𝗿 and 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
✔ Feel-good underdog energy
✔ Fast-paced and never dull
Cons:
✘ Some predictable emotional beats
✘ Doesn’t dive deeply into character backstories
Would I rewatch?
Yes — it’s light, exciting, and fun enough to enjoy again when you need a good mood boost.

Semi Realistic output
My Verdict:- an action packed story with great Comedy,Great Action sequences and A Villian who defies all laws and untouchable by law.Flaws:- obviously it has its flaws , our ML is basically Supernatural human (atleast that's how I felt)
But action sequences of ML are very good so i forgive that and as a Kim so Hyun Simp it's a treat to watch whenever she's on camera and again great action sequences for her as well
But the Story has lot of conveniences like how Villain gang don't use guns, and how the Villain left Hero's Squad alive most of the series when he had multiple chances to do so.
Coming to Romance
There wasn't much scope for it , love track between leads is very small and irrelevant compared to Main plot but I feel the actors did Justice with whatever scope they have.
For me 8/10
TLDR:-
I didn't lost interest till end and enjoyed watching it .

Good Kdrama
I finished Good Boy in just a few days.I got hooked right away. As someone who loves police/cop themes in K-dramas, I’m really satisfied with the result.
My thoughts on the main characters:
Dong-Ju – His character was really well played. Great acting! I didn’t know the actor before, but he nailed it the humor, the determination, the romance… I was genuinely surprised and very impressed with his performance!
Han Na – Also very well acted. I already knew the actress and I think she always delivers, but she was even better in this series. The love story with Dong-Ju is super cute. I also loved how they handled the story about her father’s death (that she learns thanks to the Russian guy) and her reaction to it. The scenes were amazing!
Ju-Yeong – This guy was incredible. I didn’t know the actor before, but I was pleasantly surprised. He perfectly embodied the villain pure evil and viciousness. Though I have to say, for someone so powerful in the gang/drug world, he got beaten up a lot 😂
Man Sik – Such a funny character. He has no idea how to handle a reckless young guy who loves beating people up 😭 But still very likable overall.
Overall, I loved the story. My favorite parts were:
- The moment Dong-Ju fails to take down Ju-Yeong
- The convoy attack
- When he goes to see Ju-Yeong and willingly gets beaten up so his team doesn’t get disbanded
- The phase where he hides from the team (especially the scene where he hides his face in the police station) it really felt real
- The emotional scene when everyone finds out what he did
- The intense sequence where he gets beaten, drugged, fights to survive, and ends up in a coma I was so hyped for the next episodes!
- When he loses his sight and tries to hide it from Han Na (that was really touching)
- All the heartwarming moments when Han Na and the others take care of him
- The ending when he wakes up from the coma and rejoins everyone to confront Ju-Yeong everyone got their heroic moment!
- The final scene where he goes after Ju-Yeong was insane (though I would’ve loved a proper fight between them 😂)
In short, I strongly recommend it!!

Absolutely enjoyed every second!!!
The plot twists were plot-twisting in this drama. The suspense is constant, and the stakes keep getting higher and higher.Usually, I skip the action scenes as they tend to bore me out and are very predictable, but this drama made me watch every single second without skipping. Because the characters are all former elite athletes, like boxers, shooters, and fencers, every fight is completely unique and tailored to their specific sport. It’s not just mindless punching; it’s brilliant, fast-paced choreography that actually pushes the story forward.
Park Bo-gum and Kim So-hyun have such amazing energy, and the entire team of misfits has the best camaraderie. If you want a crime thriller that keeps you guessing, delivers unskippable, top-tier action, and has a ton of heart, you need to watch this immediately!

Hooray for Vigilante Justice
I don’t get the super harsh reviews. Was the story perfect? Nah, but it was close. And who doesn’t like the bada** good guys beating up the baddies?First off, the ensemble cast was great. Bogum was perfect as the lead and displayed and wide range of emotions with ease. You really felt what his character felt, laughing, crying, or pissed as hell when he did. The rest of the main cast were also very like-able and they had excellent chemistry. And Oh Jung Se nailed his role as the villain.
Actions scenes were consistently exciting, heart-pumping, and cool to watch. The choreography was so fun, and it never felt repetitive. The time and effort that went into them was evident. The OST also added a lot to the action.
Story wise, it wasn’t super original (not the first time we’ve seen action hero/police officers vs bad guys). However, it didn’t deter from my enjoyment or wanting to know how things would shake down. The only weak/unfinished parts were 1) Dong-ju’s physical health. I was expecting them to come back to it at the end, but it was suddenly okay. I was surprised they didn't cover how it psychologically affected him, and it would have added more depth and emotion to that plot point. 2) Ha-na’s mother. I didn’t think her character was absolutely necessary. There was some sort of arc, but not till the end, and her character was just irritating. Their relationship repairing didn’t need to happen. 3) Ha-na and Dong-ju’s relationship. As cute as it was, we didn’t get to see enough of it. Ha-na acted as a great support for Dong-ju and they had sweet/spicy moments, but after the relationship was first established it took a back burner to the main plot. Things were always just good between them, and it would have been nice to see the ups and downs or further development.
That being said, I really enjoyed this one! I was rooting for the right people the whole time, and it was never boring. Sometimes you just need a satisfying watch and it’s okay if it’s not perfect. It was exactly as advertised and a good time. Would watch again!

Fun action scenes and an unrealistic antagonist
This show had so much potential in the first half, and I really wanted to like it. The cast is incredibly talented and honestly the only reason I stuck it out until the end.Unfortunately, the story never felt complete to me—especially when it came to the characters. The only one who truly felt fleshed out was Park Bo Gum’s character. There was an attempt to build depth for the antagonist and his network of cronies, but it ended up feeling uneven: we were given a lot of details, yet somehow still not enough to truly understand them.
In the end, strong acting carried a weak narrative, leaving me wishing the writing had matched the cast’s potential.

Good action scenes but messy writing…
This drama was a whole rollercoaster ride!!!First, despite the slow and somewhat boring set-up at the beginning, we got a solid first fightinf scene with Gold Bunny in that warehouse where everyone got splattered with paint! i loved the scene where Bogum is fighting inside this cage-like structure that moves around. And then, when the scit department was set up and we got all the ex-olympic athletes in one team solving crime was really fun. The found family aspect was really fun and the way they all fought together and supported each other was really fun too!
However, I soon started to get annoyed really fast with the drama. It started when Hanna suddenly jumped on that truck to bring them all down but got caught and stored in a container to be shipped out into the pacific ocean. I was like “are you really THAT stupid????”
Even before that there were some minor plot holes that had me wondering why and how things turned out like that…
Then, after the tunnel episode, the drama kept getting more and more annoying, boring and unbelievable.
It kept on going from trying to find trucks or containers to trying to find suspicious people to trying to find traitors to trying to find drugs etc etc. It was confusing and frustrating and all the messiness stressed me out.
Also, almost every main character had visual and hearing impairment. I was so sick of seeing the main leads constantly getting dizzy and hearing a high-pitched tone in their ears like COME ON!!!! Was there nothing else you could have thought of??
Not just the messiness of the plot stressed me out but also of some of the characters:
1. Ji Hanna: Apart from her badass gun skills she was getting on my nerves sooo much! she always looked like she was dead inside. And I hated it how she treated Dong-Ju in the beginning. I seriously was not rooting for them. I was shipping him with Drugmon 😂😂😂
2. Min Ju-Yeong: He was the worst written villain ever! We didn’t really understand what his motive was other than greed. Like I get it, one of the aspects of this drama is to show how greed can turn someone into a monster but I feel like it takes more than grees to be able to cold-heartedly kill hundreds of people and even children. I was looking forward to get to see some past trauma or injustice that he experienced but all we saw is how he was studying for an exam as a customs officers and got beaten up bcs he accidentally saw Oh Dollar’s crimes. But he then accepted him into his gang… other than that we didn’t see anything about his past or his possible motives… After that I was really disappointed by the writing of the characters
3. Drugmon’s past: I actually loved Drugmon’s character. I think she was the best written character in this show. Because I loved her so much I wished she had had a better writing for her childhood. It absolutely made 0 sense that the parents who adopted her were soooo addicted to drugs!!!! Before being able to adopt, couples have to go through a lot of tests like mental and health tests. Drug addicts would immediately be uncovered in that case. Also why would drug addicts want to adopt a child???? And then go all the way from America to Korea to do so! Also in order to adopt you need a lot of money but this couple looked like bums and their house looked really bad!!! This was one of the worst cases of background information on character’s past life I have ever seen…
4. Cho Panyeol: This commissioner annoyed the fck out of me!!!! This is all I am gonna say! The punch he got from Dung-Ju was so satisfying 😂
Then, apart from the badly written characters, the numerous (6) product placements were literally the cherry on top! I have NEVER EVER seen so many product placements in one drama!!! the most was The King and even that “only” had 3! But this drama had 6 if I didn’t forget anything: kopiko, nescafe, eggdrop, heart-shaped chicken-kimchi stuff, The probiotic drink and the weird health drink… like… wtf???
Lastly, the en of the drama was kinda messy too, at least when we consider the way that Min Ju-yeong ended up: Who killed him? and why? and how? Also, tbh I wish the police would have left him get killed by the Yakuza! Thats what he deserved, to suffer a long painful death and not being kept alive and fed in a prison…
Well the drama had some good things too:
1. Park Bogum! Do I have to say more? My favorite actor, and he did such a great job in this drama too! I basically kept watching just for him 😂😅😅🫠🫠🫠
2. Kiss scenes: Ok the kiss scenes were HOTTTT!!!! and Park Bogum is a GREAT kisser!!! but in this drama he was literally on fire!!! I have never seen him kiss like that omg!!!
3. Funny scenes: especially the captain and Dong-Ju were hilarious af!!! His screaming was so unhinged I was laughing all the time 😂😂😂
4. Drugmon: I loved her!!!! She was badass and hot and smart and actually she had a good heart. I knew it from the first scene I saw her in and how disgusted she was when she saw the traces of the abused women. That was the moment I was rooting for her 😍😍😍 I am so glad about her ending! At least they got one thing right!
5. Leo: The Korean-Russian mafia boss was LEGENDARY!!!! I wish he was the main villain of this drama and not Min Ju-yeong… I loved him from beginning to end too and I loved his relationship with Drugmon! They were literally like Bonnie and Clyde in Korea! 😂😂😂
6. The OST: the soundtrack was basically better than the drama itself 😂😂😂
7. As mentioned before the fight scenes and also the found family aspect were one of the highlights.
In conclusion you should watch it if you like action and if you are a fan of Park Bogum. If you dont care much about Park Bogum (how dare you!) or if you don’t like action or police dramas then this drama is not for you!

Park Bo Gum is hot and that's pretty much it.
The show started off really strong and was entertaining but became lowkey boring. I haven't been keeping up with kdramas recently but decided to watch this cuz I missed Park Bogum on my screen. He was my favorite part of the show, his acting was breathtaking. Even though Yun Dongju wasn't a particularly great character, Bogum brought a complexity to his character that made me fall in love with Dongju despite his shortcomings. And of course the many amazing Bogum edits that came from the show was a plusOh Jungse plays the villain in this show and a deceitfully plain one at that. Min Juyeong's character isn't one I hated or loved but appreciated ten times more because of how Jungse played him. There is something so sinister about a villain who is evil for sport. The absurdity of how much money he had and was moving around made him a worthy villain that took all 16 episodes to defeat. Now, was is harder to believe 5 easily disposable cops could bring down someone like him down, sure, was it entertaining watching them try, mildly. The sequence of Dongju sending Min Juyeong selfies of himself tryna find his money was ridiculously funny.
I loved the comedic relief Heo Sung Tae's character brought to the show. It was disappointing though, that they used such a talented actor solely for comedic relief without attempting to utilize his acting prowess but instead making his character a bumbling fool that rarely contributed to a team he supposedly lead. However, without him the show would have been significantly more boring than it ended up being.
It's not bad, but it's not great, and for a show with a stacked cast and a cool premise, it was very disappointing. The few things I did enjoy, however, were the action scenes. The action isn't something I really care for in shows, but I was pleasantly surprised by how skillfully shot the scenes were. It felt like I was in it sometimes, and enjoyed seeing all the main cast have an action scene. I also really enjoyed the romance because of the chemistry Bogum and Sohyun had. They had a chance to create a very entertaining bromance but decided to make Lee Sangyi's character a bitter and boring.

At first, the hero is very insistent with his colleague and she thinks it's cute. They both agree to play this little game, so I guess it's all right. Still, it's a weird relationship. Anyway. And he's got an inhuman metabolism, he gets hit, beaten up, drugged but everything's fine, he gets back up."Not dead yet"... obviously, the scenarium armour works well.
The pace of this series is prodigious, there's not a second to get bored (apart from episode 10 when nothing happens. Why?) Everything follows on super fast with humour, action, suspense and you really want the [redacted] of [redacted] rotten to get caught, him and his henchmen. It has its over-the-top moments with improbable situations but we accept it, that's what we're here for. I mean, the synopsis alone... haha
All the villains are foreign Koreans, from places where the Japanese deported them. I don't know what to make of that. There must be a reason.
And lastly, Drug Monster, she starts off super badass and then the series goes on to belittle and destroy her. I didn't like the way she was treated at all.
PS: rarely have product placements been so unsubtle !

Okaish drama ig!?
All in all a good/okaish drama. Watched for Park Bo-Gum but fell in love with Lee Sang-Yi. He looked so hot and everything. Loved it.A few things that seemed way too stupid to me were - 1.) Ep 1 felt too long! It felt like I was watching it for 2 -3 hrs and yet a bit was left (felt it wasn't 2-3 hrs long). 2.) No matter how much they beat Doong ju , how much he bleads and all , the guy will be perfectly fine the next day to take up a new fight. I mean, the way they were beating him was pretty serious & with the punch-drunk I think he should be hospitalized and be in a cast and all but the man is all ok. It's like he is made of steel or something. 3.) Story felt dragged a bit. Could've finished it in 12 ep max. Till 16 it felt dragged. 4.) No chemistry in ML & FL. Doong ju and Jong hyun had more chemistry than them ? Rest of the points I forget.
But still it was entertaining, funny, and worth the time (sort of). Loved the action! For which I specifically watched the drama.

An alright binge.
It was alright. I definitely wasn't hooked when I started the drama but it was an alright binge.I think the villains and characters were pretty well crafted but the plot just dragged on way too much. Like it was kindof obvious who the main villain is since the start of the drama and it just kept dragging on SO MUCH. Also, it was so frustrating when the fl or the ml would just put themselves in such a bad situation. Like just bring backup??? Is it ever that hard?!?!
Second thing, I know this isn't a romance drama but there was def romance between Ji Ha Na and Yoon Dong Ju. But it was done pretty poorly imo. There was just no "oompf". Like he was just crushing on her this whole time and idk I just wish there was just a bit more to it. And it was like they just added the kiss scenes in there just to add "chemistry"... it wasn't really working tho. Don't get me wrong, I really like Park Bo Gum and Kim So Hyun. But it just wasn't doing it for me idk.
The saving grace for this drama was definitely the OST. It was SO good. The cast was pretty great too. I enjoyed watching the olympic avengers lol.
