Abuse: As Long As You Have A Reason??

SO WE REALLY JUST GONNA ACT LIKE ARTIST SIN'S MOM DIDN'T CHAIN HIM UP EVERY DAY AS A CHILD?!?! WHY DOES SHE HAVE AN ENTIRE REDEMPTION ARC??? This portrayal of actual abuse and the forgiveness that victim's struggle with afterward, was too reductionist of such a complex line of progress. This really doesn't sit right with me.

[Spoilers] The whole subplot of artist Shin…

[Spoilers] The whole subplot of artist Shin Dae Ryuk being chained as a child by his mother due to having caused a fire while left alone is utterly preposterous; as well as being completely abandoned by his mother is just a ridiculous plot device. Firstly, how many young children can actually cause a kitchen fire in Korea? Secondly, even if such an accident were to occur, parents would teach their kids to avoid making hazardous mistakes again. They would not resort to chaining their kids. And a single mother abandoning their young child and never to see them again for 16+ years? Just piss-poor writing!Really enjoyed the first several episodes of this kdrama but it has seriously gone downhill in the latter half.
