This episode is kind of cliche..

This may just be based on preference, but I feel that the first episode's of these types of dramas should be getting to know the characters individually. I hate when the leads interact in the first episode. Something annoying I hated was the fact that I could guess every minor detail (ex. "she's gonna be living w/ him....who knew?" or "must be her friend" and "they're gonna hate each other at first"). But other than that, everything else was pretty smooth and straightforward. The acting was kind of dull and I've seen dramas with the same storyline end up so much better.

drawing the line

Qian Heng and young Cheng Yao compete to rent an apartment! He is amused by her pretense in front of the owner, that she is well liked by her boss, not knowing that he, Qian Heng, is her boss. When she realizes her blunder, she vows to be exemplary at her work. But curiosity takes over and she is punished... It starts with a comedic atmosphere as cohabitation trope, but of course, the cold lawyer's interest has been awakened. He is known as "a demon", firing all who don't meet up to his standards, feared by all except for his partner founder, harsh and unforgiving to his employees. As for Cheng Yao, she does not want to be a mere servant and underling, but she knows she needs to hold on and learn the ropes to establish herself in the lawyers office.
