Hua Qian’s father makes it clear to her that he will not resign given all the hard work it has taken him to achieve his position. Rong Zhou attracts Xi Wu’s attention when he blocks Xi Wu from Hua Qian. Assassins attack during the banquet, and during the commotion, Mu Yao and Hua Qian are abducted. Ye Lan is forced to decide who will be killed and who will be spared, but Hua Qian has other plans.

AGHHH XIWU BE DISCREET NOW UR MOTHER NOTICED OMG OMG AHHHB RONGZHOU WHY WHY WHY???? STOP STOP STOP. Oh nooooo so sad for Qian and Shen... Was this shuomo work?? Or did they target rongzhou??? With the way that arrow came, obviously it was wu shoumo. Wait... Did yelan reach for Qian first??? I want xiwu to save her but... It would not happen like that wasn't it?? Ugghh ofc it was him. Eehh it was 4 times? I thought it was 3 times. DEVASTATING. Ouu Ms Qi setting herself up.
