Hana becomes annoyed at Daichi and Yuri for being so friendly with each other and takes it out on Kaori. Meanwhile, when Tetsuo drops his lunch and tries to leave, Kaori scolds him and makes him clean it up. Toshiko defends Tetsuo, but Kaori takes a firm stance. Meanwhile, Kaori learns that Fujii Masaya seems to be being abused by his father. Kaori visits Masaya's house and tries to talk to his father, Yasuo, but is turned away. The abuse continues, so Kaori decides to take Masaya into the care of the Kawai family. Having heard about this over the phone, Yasuo goes to the Kawai family home and tries to take Masaya home, but Kaori and Hana stop him.
