Not a perfect drama but still interesting
Because of some bad review i didnt watch it until last week. Overall its not a perfect drama there are some questionable action but still interesting to watch and not as bad as i thought. Unless you searching for a very seriously serious drama, this isnt for you.Aye is a teenager griefing his uncle death, trying to bring justice by moving to the school his uncle used to work. He is smart, but he just a teenager who didnt have any real power, so not many thing he can do honestly.
Akk is student prefect who is perfect son, perfect student, perfect prefect leader. This word caging himself and make him belief he must do anything perfectly and do as society expect from his perfectness.
What i like about this story is. The chemistry, first and khao can be fighting but i can be giddy just from it. Theres no NC scene too which i like, yet it didnt dismiss their romance, it just make it more wholesome for me .
The character development of aye and akk is quite nice, how the two of them learn to let go and accepting who they are, how aye learn to put down his grief and let go. And how akk learn to be himself and not to be afraid to let go of the lable "perfect".
For the plot itself there some scene here and there that really annoy me, especialy near the last episode. But i dont think its disturbing my experience watching this.
I probably rewatching this in the future.
The last, just watch it first, if its not your cup of tea then just let go :)

I have never experienced such feelings. NEVER.
You can't even imagine my happiness when I saw that there were 2 more seasons after this, because I think I can't get enough of them. I liked literally everything about this drama: the flawless plot, the actors, the chemistry, everything. Now i am looking for words to describe my feelings...I can't find 'em, which is strange, because when I want to give a depiction of something I didn't like, it is easy to do.I determine if I really liked a drama due to my feelings during watching it and afterwards. I found myself crying for several times. I caught myself dumbfounded for 2 times. I was worried during the whole show and was afraid of finishing it. 45 minutes flew by instantly and that's why I am glad to see 2 sequels.
Ayan...I am head over heals for him. His acting was just...incredible! The way he cried, smiled, laughted, looked at Akk...Holy shit, I never doubted my english vocabulary...Ok, let's admit that I am tongue-tied because of how spellbinding this was.
DON'T HESITATE. GO AND WATCH THIS MASTERPIECE!

The chemistry between First and khao
I was really excited for this series and it literally didn't disappoint me. The chemistry between first and khao was mindblowing and the sexual tension damnnnn! I can rewatch the whole series just to swoon and giggle, feeling the sexual tension between them.As for the story, it wasn't much of my interest and I was more focused on the actor's chemistry.
As for the second couple, Neo and Louis they did their best and I loved them. It was my first time seeing them.
Also many of you who have watched half of the series/ gonna watch this series might have a doubt on who is actually the top. And Imma tell you, I had this thought at first too and guysss, lemme tell you first is the submissive top and khao is dom bottom.
A must-watch if you ask me.

Started great, becomes annoying, no real curse/mystery
When I saw the trailer, I was hoping for something like the Netflix Thai series Stranded with paranormal phenomena involved. Well, that DID not happen, the curse is caused by human hand to manipulate people into following the strict rules of the school. That was the first big disappointment. The show should not have been misrepresented as paranormal in the trailer if it wasn't.The chemistry between Akk and Aye that starts off as amazing impressed me and I was thinking this one as the best BL of the year. Than some things really ruined the moment for me.
1. The first kiss between them was presented as real originally and then we find out that Akk imagined it. Big turn off.
2. The second kiss was when Aye confesses his feelings to Akk who cannot say what he feels and the confession falls flat. Another big turn off.
I continue watching the series, but so far I am on episode 7 and there is no real development in their relationship, no real development in any other character besides a repetition of what they have already been doing with very minor changes and the only important information is what I mentioned first, that the curse has been fake.
There is clearly a problem with pacing, maybe they do it to feel up the episodes? I am not sure. In general, my biggest problem is with Akk, I have really come to dislike his character because he talks to him self wondering why does he like Ayan (so he IS aware of his feelings) yet keeps rejecting him like a prude or homophobe. It makes no sense, since Ayan never asked him to be openly gay and so far it has ruined all the romantic moments. I hate anxious avoidant characters.
I said that in another forum and people disagreed with me, but this review is just my opinion. Overall it's kinda claustrophobic (90% of things happens in the same building) and too slow and the main character needs to make up his damn mind, if this was real life Ayan would have written him off as a loser long ago.

i love this series
sooooo yaaaaaa i rarely write a review for a series , and tbh it's my sec one . so where do I get startedfrom last 2 weeks i have been watching people drop this series bec of the story line.. i respect there views soo much... and from my pov it feels sooo real it's like a harsh reality ... Ayan is the most soft hearted person like the character .. and every part of the series make to much sense to me i don't know about other people
the way the story started from enemies to classmates , to friends and then fighting your own feelings , discovering your sexuality all just is perfect.
I have to much faith in gmm that they will not fuck up this series ? bec the last two eps were like the calm before the Strom and now it has finally arrived. and the best part is akk understands Ayan
Kan is open to thua now ...
after the nineth ep i don't think there is any curse involved it's the wicked ass principal.
and in this all hocus pocus somewhere teacher chadok has been manipulated and i don't think so he is a bad guy ... he would have something with teacher dika .. it's not possible that they were not close . the series really poteay teenagers living under pressure the best way possible and i will keep my hopes high to give them a Happy end *onlyyy* or i will break from inside ???? khao and first are the best for this role and the cast is actually perfect .. i just want one ost from louis like plzzz ome ost more ... ??

My nr.4 th favorite movie
This movie is good but still it not as good as my favorite Unforgotten Nigtht , Love By Chance and Dont Say No . This movie is different because of the actors, young actors , location where action is happening as well everything that is happening. A boy school , a curse , rules , secrets , revenge .I like this movie a lot. I will surely watch it again many times when it is completed.
The actors are young and daring. Each with a personality that i wish a real guy could have.
Akk and Ayan is a good couple. I really wish there will be a second movie regarding the curse .
I really hope there will be a happy ending , not a sad ending like the first episode of this movie , where the uncle of Ayan committed suicide because of a secret , a secret that could kill you.

literally such a beautiful show.
there were some elements of the story i didn’t like, but i think the phenomenal acting from firstkhao makes up for it.the chemistry between akk and ayan is just incredible. akk just might become my favorite bl character ever. his character was, in my opinion, so beautifully written. and of course, first did him so much justice. i don’t think anyone could’ve portrayed akk as well as first did.
if i had to give a complaint about this show, it would be the side couple. they just didn’t interest me at all. i ended up skipping a lot of their scenes because i felt they were just boring and i would rather see akk & ayan scenes.
the way this explores the struggle queer teenagers face of accepting who they are was amazing, and im a huge sucker for hurt/comfort so i loved this even more.
please give this show a watch, firstkhaos acting is phenomenal, especially first. as i said, he portrayed akk so well and sometimes i felt goosebumps at the most emotional scenes.

Loved it !
Having become disenchanted with recent BL offerings, I started looking back for older shows I hadn't watched.I am so glad I tried this one as it was a very engaging story and the acting was gold standard.
The story did seem a bit vague as to its point, was it about the school being homophobic, or general bullying tactics? And the complete turn around, near the end, of one of the main characters made even less sense to me.
However, all that aside, the acting from all the actors was astonishingly good. From happy to sad, all the angst friendship and emotional journeys were beautifully done with great feeling.
Give it a try :)

It was amazing
I wish I could rate the “Chemistry” because the chemistry was 10000000000/10I swear I knew Firstkhao were gonna be good actors and have good chemistry but omg they are made for each other.
I’m gonna miss everyone. The plot was pretty good but the actors made this whole show special. I loved the side couple too so much I was screaming rooting for them as well
It was also really moving and inspiring. I think I almost cried about a thousand times.
A beautiful show and I want to watch it again already

Never Eclipsed My Heart
The Eclipse does not feature your standard school setting. No, instead, the school has a cult-like rule system the consequences of which dip into internalized homophobia and general dislike for people that are perceived as different. It is a social commentary twisting societal issues into a school setting with various gays we love--most prominently Akk and Ayan, with a side of Kan and Thua. It's not that much of a light-hearted story--though it does have plenty of light-hearted and cute moments--but that's exactly why I loved The Eclipse so much.
Akk and Ayan are just perfect. Not that they don't have flaws--they do. I found Akk to be very intricately written with believable flaws and reasonings, despite how much I loved Ayan too. The writers weren't afraid to write actually opposite belief systems in characters that end up falling for each other, which I find doesn't happen often in BL or if it does, it is shallow.
I did wish Ayan had more involvement with the rebelling "The World Remembers", but it didn't otherwise detract too much from the story and romance.
On the topic of romance. I mean, with FirstKhao, chemistry is guaranteed, but watching these characters challenge each other and (unknowingly) grow closer was a real treat. They ended up so sweet and had plenty of kisses AND tension to share, as they evolved from outright hostility to playful bickering.
The side characters were also layered, though I cannot say that Kan/Thua really interested me in any way. FirstKhao definitely shone in the spotlight as they deserved, which meant that side characters, though important to the plot, simply couldn't reach AkkAyan's levels of interesting.
Rarely anyone ever mentions this in reviews as far as I've seen, so maybe I'm just an outlier, but the scenes where the school reinforces their rules--the cult-like scenes--made me so uncomfortable, all the while I pitied the students involved. Uncomfortable in the sense that it was creepy to witness! Brainwashing is scary! Every time I wished I could usher Akk away and lead him to a safe space instead.
But why the -0.5 star? Mainly because of Thua. He has a scene in one of the later episodes where he does something I despise and for which he doesn't deal with consequences I deem proper. I would've exiled him from my friends list for what he did. I won't go much into it for spoiler reasons, but yeah.
Another thing is also a spoiler-heavy plot twist/revelation regarding the villain character that I felt came out of nowhere and, though it did tie the mystery and plot together, felt a little underbuilt in the plot and lead-up.
Outside of the romance, FirstKhao are outstanding actors who can portray pain and hurt and tears and being conflicted believably. You'll at least understand their struggles and reasoning no matter what your instinctual gut reaction may be to some revelations.
If you're not into a slowly unravelling story that deals with various social issues in a cultish school, mainly internalized homophobia and restricting freedom of expression, then The Eclipse may be a sludge to get through. I personally loved the story and the characters and--well, almost everything--but I concur it's not for everyone.
