Heartwarming

I really love to watch drama about family and friendship and I've prepare my mental to watch this. And I'm not regret watched this. This drama have a very touched and heartwarming story about family, friendship and also love relationship. From ep 1-11 I'm not crying I just feel a sad emotions in my heart, but from ep 12 till the end every eps got me cried so hard. It's about to follow your dream, to love what we have now, to love and make time for our family, and to keep fighting even there's seems hopeless. AZQ is a bold girl that inspired me a lot. She's not embarrassed by other people's views about her, brave, willing to help, and the most important she have a big love for everyone she loves. LT is a man who know what is his path and he keep follow his dream and make it come through even when he sick and have many limit. He loves his family too even his family is busy and have no time for him, and also he's a very loveable boyfriend. All the characters here feels alive it's not just a side cast. Lin Yi and Li Landi acting is on another level. All the script is great and very touch. Thank you for all the actor and actress and also all crew for this drama. Also the OST too it's very beautiful and make my heart shake. I learn a lot of life things through this drama. I pray for all of us to be healthy, happy and can reach our dreams. Thank you AFS <3

people fall sometimes...

When talking about death, it is often a concept so familiar yet foreign, far away and something we don't have to think on for most our life. It is not something we generally comprehend or understand the weight of until much later in life. For Lin Tou, it became a reality that drove him to do more, be better, and mend aspects of his life that he saw no urgency in before. It was cruel, to watch someone of a similar age, that was just starting out in life...being forced to tie together loose end and prepare for something like death. That is exactly the kind of story this is. A heavy story of very kind and fortunate people that were dealt a very unfortunate hand...one where they are confronted with how unfair and cruel the world can be...regardless...it was one that should not be watched lightly. Here I am though...haha to convince you to watch it anyway.

Why? It tells the story of the unpredictability of life as well as all the familiar aspects of life that cause one to rethink where they are and what really matters to them. It questions various relationships and how they are impacted, strained or strengthened by illness. The sibling relationship, parent relationship, and even the bittersweet love. It outlines something I think was huge. It was the choice of how one lives, the choice we give others in staying or leaving our life. I think this drama did a great job outlining the choices that were made given these relationship...it was all very human. It was the embodiment of the idea that love is a choice..that everyone is capable of making. It was something imperfect that could not really be faulted. It is also a rude awakening, I'm sure many who are reading are people who are just starting out in life, still finding their direction, and courage to face their dreams. In a world where c-dramas are often overflowing with feelgood, youth dramas about high schoolers that found the courage to chase their dreams and confront their insecurities...it was so cruel and hard to watch. To see someone that was past that and excited for the adventures of adulthood navigate the sudden deadline given to them...

It also made me think about all the difficult conversations that are to be had. How that sort of diagnosis not only impacts the patient but everyone around them. Here I was, the idiot that watched for Lin Yi and Landy Li, entering more lightheartedly than I should have. It is a bit hard to really analyze what made me love it without spoiling but it was heavy in a realistic way while still outlining the sense of love and support to be had for life despite such a cruel fate.

The acting was great! I loved the way some of the characters were written in terms of their actions as well as thought process. I was often clenching my fists in anger or pity. Other times just straight sad.

I think this is something that will resonate with most as this is a lesson better learnt now than later...that life works in mysterious ways. That no matter how much we prepare in life, it often isn't enough...It is a scary thought, that not all people die of old age...that not everyone meant to stay in your life is there forever. Life is so fickle...

There is a specific thing Lin Tou says that really resonates with me...that his fateful counter was the beginning of his fortune but also the beginning of her misfortune. It showcased the other side, the suffering the caregivers and loved ones endure...how it can be different from the patient and often one guilt filled. It also showed that every story has two sides. That in this very sweet and lovely moment, it could feel so lonely and bitter for the future him. It shows how he looked back on the moment and it isn't even a question of whether he regrets their encounter or not. It was the realization for me...that other people live their lives the same way I do and despite how insignificant I think my actions are...they are very much perceived and impact the lives of others. Maybe that is a weird thing to suddenly realize and I have definitely thought of it before but this moment made me question myself a bit.

Anyway...if you are in the mood for some tears or at least sad thoughts...as well as an excuse to rethink your life decisions...re-evaluate what you find important to you..I would give it a go! There is much to take away. Like the parents said...there is a test for most things...but there is really no test that prepares anyone for something like this. I truly hope no one has to be...

Warm Emotional & Real Drama About ALS

I was weary of trying this drama because of the nature of the plot and I also am not a big fan of any of the main cast. However, the trailer looked very emotional and everyone's acting seemed great so I was convinced to try it out. I ended up binge watching all episodes in one weekend and crying/bawling multiple times. I expected it would be sad the level of sadness and bitter sweetness was more than I thought. You really don't know what you should be grateful for until you don't have it anymore. You also don't realize the importance of time until you don't have it. ALS really is scary but this drama's portrayal felt very educational and inspiring despite it being terminal. We see the different stages of the disease and the real reactions of the patient and family and friends. I liked what the directors and scripwriters were trying to do by making this drama, and I can really feel their care and respect in this project.

Everyone's acting was also top notch, especially Lin Yi as Lin Tuo. I did not know he was such a great actor until this role. I can tell he put a lot of effort to portray the role right and get all the small details of an ALS patient. It must have been very hard to play this role but he did great. I think this will be a role that people will not forget. His emotional scenes were also so good because he did a great job of portraying the complex emotions. I got a new understanding of his skills and will be keeping an eye on his projects. Li Lan Di also surprised me with her acting as Xiao Que because I haven't watched any of her dramas before. After watching her here, I think she is quite talented when she has the right script and role. In my opinion, she is more suited for these younger contemporary roles that are closer to her real age instead of those fantasy idol dramas. The other two supporting roles of their best friends were also soo good! Guang Pu and Xin Di had great chemistry and were hilarious! Their scenes were the lightest parts of the show and I could not stop laughing. Guang Pu is particularly hilarious as a character but also such a great friend. Sun Tian Yu did amazing as him and pulled off all the emptional scenes so well! I am glad I met him through this drama and role. All other roles were great too! There wasn't one actor who stood out to me as acting poorly.

The music was also so emotional and had great lyrics. Notably the song "There is Still Time" and "Keep Silent" were so sad everytime I heard it play in the drama. It only made me cry harder.

This drama does make you cry a lot but it does also show you the warmness of people and the kindness in the world. The friends, family, and coworkers can be a strong support system and show such warmness. There is darkness with this disease but it can also be turned to help others. It can be seen as a sad drama but not entirely. I cried a lot but also learned a lot while watching this drama. I hope cdrama land can create more real dramas with great acting like this one. I will not be able to forget this drama and the scenes for a long time. If you do give this drama a try, prepare tissues!

A mirror of the present day scenario

Angels fall sometimes tells the story of a young, enthusiastic, hardworking,Lin Tuo,the son of a surgeon and a nurse, who is in search of a job after graduating from university. He has a younger brother who is interested in music. He crosses paths with An Zhique,a hardworking girl who lives with her father.Soon they fall in love and Lin Tuo finds a job in a furniture company. But his life turns upside down when he is diagnosed with ALS and all his aspirations and happiness are shattered in an instant.
The life of Lin Tuo is like a mirror to the life of many people in the present day scenario.A person's greatest fear in his/her life,IMO,is definitely regarding health.
Lin Tuo's character is an epitome of the feelings, angst, fear, tensive, sad, depressing moments one has to face when they know that they have been diagnosed with an illness/incurable illness.
All the people around him, though afraid of losing him,try their best to keep him happy and create memories so that he never feels lonely or depressed.
His parents who were career driven once, change their ways after they learn about their son's diagnosis. The transformation into their attitude and roles was good.
Lin Tuo's friend ,Chen Guangpu,is one friend every person needs in their lives.Their friendship is one of the most outstanding asset of this drama.
An Zhique,is a supportive fiance and I liked how she stood by him in his difficult times.
His senior, boss and all his colleagues also help and support him in his depressive times.
Overall it is a very good drama that showcases all our contemporary lives.
Maybe sometimes, the best medicine for a person to heal is not a oral medicine but to support them emotionally and mentally.
All the actors were good in their performances. The story was good.
A good drama to watch though it is very realistic in its approach.

Want to cry

The very first thing I want to do is congratulate the leads of the drama for their outstanding performance. Initially, I thought the ending would be tragic, but thankfully, the writer chose a positive conclusion. Throughout the drama, I empathized deeply with the patient's struggles. Despite the support of many around them, the sense of helplessness weighed heavily. My heartfelt wish is for medical advancements to find a cure for ASL Disease. The last episode left me on edge, uncertain of the outcome, though I braced myself for the inevitable. The drama was emotionally compelling and exceptionally well-executed.

It’s honestly one of the most touching things I’ve ever watched. The scriptwriters deserve an award for how beautifully and realistically they made each and every word, scenario, and character. Every actor also was just so amazing and you can tell they really put their heart and soul into this drama (my first lingyi and li landi drama and I’m blown away but they’re ability to move an audience along with the rest of the cast, all amazing fr) . Not only do they touch on ALS and the struggles of going through a terminal illness, but it also speaks on the struggles of parenting, mental health, and love in such a real yet inspiring way that it really hits you close to home. Amazing show with some amazing and inspiring life lessons , am so happy this show was made please watch it’s one of the best dramas ever.

Sometimes There Are Drama That Exist That Remind Us Why Life Is Worth Living

Two strangers met, they fell in love, we witnessed their journey, we met their friends, their families, something tragic occurred, but they persisted and hoped.

It is a story line that happened many times in drama land and will continue to happen in drama land. BUT. This is a drama that is able to present this type of story line with love, warmth, and hope. It shows life in its simplest form. The sweet latte we drink, the lollipops we eat, the snow we wish to see, the dream career we want to fulfill, the guilt towards a sibling, both the neglect and selfless love of parents, the quiet love from grandparents, the strengths of friendships, and the fated love who dreams of a forever.

Lin Tuo and An Zhique are beautifully written characters. Lin Tuo is kind and considerate. An Zhique is brave and strong. They understood what it meant to treasure others and never hesitated to show it in their actions and words. When An Zhique is down, Lin Tuo is there to pick her up. When Lin Tuo is going through the crossroad, An Zhique is there to remind him that there is light.

Besides the main characters, we have the supporting characters. All with their own stories. They live and breathe. They have their own worries, passion, and hope. They aren't there just to push the main characters together.

It is really hard for me to put together words for this drama. It is just one of those drama that has to be experienced in full. But it will definitely leave you warm and grateful for the good in your life.

Lastly, An Zhique is honestly one of my favorite female characters written in C-drama land. I will be thinking about her for a long time.

if you want to ugly cry and laugh, watch this rn!

i decided to impulsively watch this c-drama today and i've finished it in the same day. i genuinely don't remember the last c-drama that made me cry, when i tell the last ep finished me!! the attention and detail in their acting was amazing. the attention shed on ALS makes for another great point. they got me during the conference when he was talking and seeing the past memories with the 'narrating' voice. the last scene made sure i was ko'd.

I Feel Empty after Watching

To summarize, The story is about our leads getting together, Job hunting, and initially found a permanent and stable job. However, when something is going very greatly, you would actually question "Why is everything going smoothly?" As if implying that something very wrong is gonna happen in a blink of an eye.

The story started off very fluffy, the couple's meeting was super cute. What surprises me the most is that they got together at the 2nd episode HAHA. You know, if the leads are together in the early episodes, you would know that something will go very wrong.

1st episode to 10th episode, showed the way their relationship developed. The way they learned to be independent, earning their own money, and all, was actually very relatable for my part. As a college student, I will also soon to do these things, like Job hunting, facing disappointments (from failed interviews), and applying to more and more jobs.

From those episodes, everything was going smoothly and they have a very promising future, the leads have a stable job, FL runs a cafe and ML is soon to be promoted as a designer. However, in a glimpse of an eye, everything changed.

Everything changed when ML gets the diagnosis of his illness, the way he reacted to his diagnosis felt so raw and real. I can't blame him from hiding it from his friends, his family, and his lover. To be honest, if I were also in his shoe, I'd probably also keep it as a secret, since I don't want to be a burden, which made it more relatable.

But when he revealed it to them, everything really hurts. Even worse when the grandpa died not knowing his little grandson is not as healthy as he expected him to be before he left them. And the scene where the FL stopped him from attempting to drown himself hurts too much. The emotions were too raw, the emotions were too raw and too real at that part. The FL's plead and the ML's cry was too damn real.

I don't know how to interpret the ending in my point of view but, at the very least, it gave me hope.

To be honest, after finishing the drama, I just stared at an empty wall, feeling so empty. My eyes were too red from crying, that I didn't know how to feel after watching it anymore.

Be warned though: Starting from episode 11 to 24, pls do prepare tissues.

Since I like to torture myself into watching these types of dramas, I'll keep rewatching those memorable but heartaching scenes. This time, my tissues will be fully prepared.
