The next morning, Shao Cang wants Nan Yan to practice her cultivation in preparation for her mission in the Filth Valley. Nan Yan is not interested until Shao Cang tells her that if her cultivation reaches the Core Formation Realm, she will be able to bring in thunder and rain and protect herself against fire and demonic cultivators. After seven days of diligent practice, Nan Yan has managed to energize her body and break through the foundation level. If she keeps on practicing everyday, she will be able to reach core formation realm soon and can then suppress demonic aura. Nan Yan feels proud of her talent. Shao Cang reminds her not to get carried away and to practice harder moving forward. Nan Yan asks for a day off to go to the market. There, they spend some sweet time together and are mistaken for a couple by the weapon stallholder. Nan Yan then visits her mom for a short while. At the market, Great Path Sect gets a tipoff that Shao Cang is in Mount Yangyue. (Source: Chinese = Baidu || Translation = AnastasiaWun at MyDramaList)
