What's the definition of a "good man"?

I don't normally review episodes but I just had to do this. I have no issues with the most part of this episode except the Ae Ran and husband settlement which pissed me off. She says he's a good man. What good man/husband would watch his wife being maltreated for over 20 years, losing herself day by day, blindly following his mother because of one damn filial piety by not even speaking a word of defense for his wife, burdening his wife by not working and not even being a good father for his children?? That's the definition of a good husband?? I understand he has a soft spot for her and may love her in his own way but a good man with conscience wouldn't do all these, the silence was the worst thing he ever did for his family. It's bs ending their story with the MIL just clumsily coming to her senses after 20yrs and doing one stupid ass apology. It's okay for her to misunderstand the past (once again, the deadbeat husband doing), however, all her misunderstanding didn't give her the right to treat her DIL like that! It might be an ideal ending because they're all different generation with a particular set of tradition, I understand. But I hate how they're insinuating the husband loving her, romances and being one stupid good husband, rubbish! There's also the case of the MC nephew growing up in that environment too, another spineless dad stupidly watching his home being ruined and his son being treated with faux kindness. These mfs be pissing me off real bad.
