bye haein and hyunwoo
After analyzing my existence, I am aware of the inconsistencies that there were within the drama but in retrospect it really didn’t take that much importance when giving this final review bc I genuinely enjoyed watching it and I will really miss it😞Really, the heart of the drama lies with haein and hyunwoo🥺
Seeing how they grow as people, noticing their mistakes and wanting to change so they don't make it again, is simply beautiful. I lived every moment of their story as if they were people from my social circle jajaja😞🫵, I guess that is the acting power of soohyun and jiwon who transmitted to us every emotion and feeling of the characters😙✨
(on the other hand, applause for sunghoon👏👏who made me hate him every saturdays and sundays haha)
I thank all the people who were behind the creation of this dram, they made me very happy (i will rewatching it when I need that comfort that Haerin and Hyunwoo can only give me)💧👑😞✨
Take care of yourselves Haein and Hyunwoo 😭😭😭
I love you so much and enjoy your time with Soobin (although I feel like I shouldn't say that because it's obvious that you will be happy)🥺🪻☘️👋😭

Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won -the King and Queen of bringing me to tears
It’s not the story alone but the actors themselves who make way for this drama to be notable and successful. No matter how good or bad a storyline is, the actors can reverse the situation depending on their talent in acting alone. As always, Kim Soo Hyun never disappoints, and he gives everything in his power to deliver us the Baek Hyun Woo that we all love right now. Unquestionably, he is the highest-earning Korean actor in the industry because the man is always here to slay his designated character. The show became even more powerful with Kim Ji Won joining his side to carry out a tear-jerker romance with undying chemistry from start to finish. As an avid K-drama fan, it’s always been my pleasure to be their supporter.I got this love-and-hate feeling during the first half of the drama. Aside from the main characters, the rest of the cast is annoying without a decent share of the story. The Chaebol family was outsmarted by a small group of villains who share the same brain cell with them -stupid and fool. I am unconvinced how these antagonists managed to take everything from them with the usual plot. The family members of Hyun Woo except for his mother were also a pain in the eyes during the early set of episodes. Everything became more enjoyable after the two families lived under one roof and fixed everything gradually.
The epilogues for every episode were always their best part. It never failed to make me cry and be in awe of the love and care that Hyun Woo and Hae In have for each other. Until the end, tears just keep flowing during the epilogue scenes. The set of OSTs also contributes a lot to the overall impact that the show has. Queen of Tears breaks TV records and has excellent ratings. Yet, I will not give them a perfect score since obviously they have flaws but still managed to make it to the top. In Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won, I put my trust in always bringing the best from every project they had.

PERFECTLY A MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN INDEED
THIS WAS THE BEST ROMCOM/ MELODRAMA in these recent months or I'd say years..people are always complaining about the writing bro if you watched this show all together everything would've fitted perfectly... instead of finding THE LOGICS sit down and just watch and enjoy... to me all my questions were answered. it was the perfect ending. YOU'RE USED TO NORMAL HAPPY ENDINGS BUT THIS IS THE REAL ENDING EVERY PERSON WHO IS IN LOVE WANTS because this basically showed that THEY GREW OLD TOGETHER instead of claiming to grow old..the whole point of this show was how can a married couple who claimed to be with each but fell apart and how they realised that need each other to grow old and they did..I Loved all the characters and probably gonna miss it for some time but yeah the acting was phenomenol...the chemistry was top-notch, the cinematography was purely beautiful..the emotions was raw....I LOVED EVERYTHING >>>Was this review helpful to you?
Queen of Tears (2024): A Tearjerker Fueled by Stellar Performances
"Queen of Tears" is a rollercoaster ride of emotions, but in the best way possible. While the plot might not break new ground in the K-drama world, it's the exceptional acting that elevates this series. Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won deliver powerhouse performances that bring their characters' complexities to life. You'll find yourself laughing at their witty banter one moment, then reaching for the tissues the next as they navigate a tumultuous relationship. The drama tackles relatable themes of love, loss, and the challenges of marriage, particularly within the wealthy elite. However, it avoids being overly dramatic, opting instead for a nuanced portrayal of human emotions.
Here's what truly shines:
A-List Chemistry: The sizzling on-screen chemistry between the leads is undeniable. You'll be completely invested in their journey, rooting for them to overcome their obstacles.
Beautifully Crafted World: The production value is top-notch, with stunning visuals that transport you into the luxurious world of the characters.
Compelling Side Characters: The supporting cast is equally impressive, offering heartwarming stories and moments of comic relief that perfectly complement the central romance.
Is it for you?
If you're a fan of K-dramas that blend romance with emotional depth, "Queen of Tears" is definitely worth adding to your watchlist. Be prepared to shed a few tears (or maybe a lot!), but also enjoy the witty dialogue and heartwarming moments. However, if you're looking for a fast-paced plot with constant twists and turns, this might be a slower burn.
Overall, "Queen of Tears" is a captivating drama that will stay with you long after the credits roll. Just make sure you have a box of tissues handy!

Best Kdrama in a while
Perfect score for me! I picked this up because I was on a drama drought but boy, I’m struggling to move on and keep going back to watch over and over again. Baek Hyun Woo and Hong Hae In really stole our hearts. All the characters were fun to watch and the second male lead playing the role of the villain really did a good job of making you hate him. The drama has a tone of a good but refined makjang; like an old school kdrama so it might not be for everyone but if you’re into that style of entertainment then you will love QoT. Go watch it if you haven’t done so already! Was this review helpful to you?
Not a perfect drama but does the job of one
I really liked the drama and my ratings say it but I am here to rant about the flaws. It started so nicely that every weekend was something to look forward to and seriously the first half was so amazing that I rewatched some scenes on weekdays but what happened in the 2nd !!! It was just not it. There were twists but they felt hollow. The main selling point is the main couple yet it feels that some of their story is incomplete especially the separation and 3 years of marriage phase. THIS ALL HAPPENS DUE TO UNNECESSARY ATTENTION TO OTHER CHARACTERS WITH THEIR UNNECESSARY ARCS. Seriously who cares about the romance of the aunt? How can you spend more than 30 min on building some out of the pool things and give less than 5 minutes on the main couples separation reasons and justification? Till now no good explanation is there on the couple being separated just one that a child was to be had and that too is a mystery. Like they could have actually utilized that aunt to bring back the main couple together through her own 3 divorces or something like a wise woman but I feel the character is just not utilized properly and given unnecessary screentime.
Same goes with the little brother. Just why does he feel so hollow?? He maybe a comic relief and devoted type but just feels way too empty. There is no character development for him frankly just sudden bursts of fatherhood and manhood.
The evil mother is still not clear to me to this day on her actual past that motivates her. Eun Sung is given good presence but his obsession could have been more elaborated. The orphanage thing is also mentioned but not properly worked out.
This unnecessary attention distribution is why the PACING OF THE SHOW IS ALL OVER THE PLACE. It is good to have characters but if you keep switching this much from once character to another obviously anyone would feel the link getting lost and not connect with any character and feel bored and dragged. Come on you can do better than this.

Being that unlikable would only work with hotter leads
Ever heard of the phrase "you deserve each other"? both leads are too shallow to be worth the watchFEMALE LEAD: nepo baby who tries to manipulate the media to craft the perfect image of her marriage, like we're in the '50s. she has a lot of self confidence, but sadly it is solely derived from her father's money
MALE LEAD: he only liked the FL because she was a helpless intern. she couldn't do anything by herself and this he found attractive. exactly the style of men hitting on barely legal women. and this was just the just the start, his behaviour towards her continues to deteriorate.
TL;DR: cliche upon cliche, down to the fatal disease. just write a good story and you wouldn't need this crap. and if you did, cast someone more talented

Overrated drama with toxic characters
Gave in after people were hyping up this drama so much and had to drop it after 3 episodes because I got anger issues from the main male lead. The romanticizing of a failed marriage where the man is actually happy that his partner is dying and pretending to be a good husband for his peace of mind is crazy. The whole plot of oh they are falling in love again after the male lead suddenly learns to appreciate his wife again once she is actually dying and weak absolutely irks me and frankly I am not even surprised this kind of plot was popular in Korea. If anyone can convince me otherwise that I might be wrong and that I should give it another try, feel free to try.Was this review helpful to you?
Best K-drama ever!
This drama is different I tell you!The actors surprised me with their outstanding acting that caused me to cry almost every episode. I’ve never watched a drama like this before it took me by surprise, I was drawn into it that I became obsessed and wanted more every weekend. I watched it ongoing and it drove me waiting for the weekend for the other episodes which caused me to rewatch from the start. It’s been a month since the series is over and I’m not able to watch any k drama because this drama set my standard for k drama so high!Chief kiss it deserve all the praises!

Queen of Tears
Awesome acting by the leads that will make you the Queen of Tears instead. The character growth by each individual chararcter are all awesome and they all go through their own growth and changes. Not a character nor arc this wasted in this densely packed show with lots of story arcs. It is quite incredible how much they managed to pack into a short 16 episodes. Many plot points and story arcs throughout as well and what started out initially as a divorce show became one of power struggle, illness and lost.

Amazing!
I adored every moment of the show! There wasn't a single dull episode. It was filled with laughter, tears, and a plethora of other emotions I hadn't even experienced before. Kim Ji Won was absolutely perfect for her role! She truly shone, as did the entire cast, cameos, and the delightful Easter egg scenes. They were a real treat for true K-drama enthusiasts.I can usually predict what will happened, I couldn't predict anything in the beginning of this show. The numerous plot twists kept me on the edge of my seat, craving more with each episode. The only downside was having to wait for new episodes weekly.
