Yu Ru is at the mercy of the Empress Dowager and Princess Yun Shang. Jiu Su arrives to protect her, but rather than submit to the Empress Dowager, he defies her and is accused of trying to kill the Empress Dowager. The amount of sacrifice that Yu Ru and Jiu Si keep giving to the people

is crazy. They gave up all their wealth (more than once). They have risked their lives and endured brutal misfortunes again and again. All for the sake of the people. The show has several more episodes so I personally don't believe Yu Ru is dead. But even having to fake her death this way is awful. The pain and sorrow this blow deals to all the family and friends is horrible. I know things are probably going to get worse before they get better - too many episodes left - but the ultimate revenge arc needs to be good. Also - when are they going to explain why Lou ZiShang has such a psychotic hate for the Gu family? Did anyone else want to bash the pathetic psycho with a baseball bat when he was sitting drunk crying over YuRu's death?
