The music is decent.
The story is too slow. Can walk away to get some coffee and 20 min later and not miss anything. Can miss an entire episode and not miss anything. Being called 2nd brother over and over, him acting like a father figure but later wanting a romance is creepy.
Shouldn't be listed as comedy.
The hype is ridiculous. Started off at 9.9 on imdb and once it gets on Netflix, it'll probably dump faster when people try it like I did. Waste of time unless you are a 9 or 10 year old maybe.

Romance drama!

*This drama is full on ROMANCE, even the comedy is lacking and I can’t compare to Korean drama because this one doesn’t even has the same atmospheric tone like Korean drama, in KDrama where’s there Romance, there’s also a top-notch extra-bonus for the audience to enjoy, this one…. I don’t see, but CDrama can really do well when it comes to historical romance.
* I only watch this drama because of the casting of Zen Li and Zhao Lusi collaborate again after LOVE LIKE THE GALAXY drama (also mother-daughter character) plus Zen Li so gorgeous (too bad her appearance in the drama so little to be seen), I love her… apart from that I’m not a fan of a teenage girl and a mid-20s guy love story…
* Zhao Lu Si star power worth every shot of her acting while Chen Zhe Yuan still lacking his skill especially emotional moments.
* it’s a very intimate relationship between a 19years old girl and a 26 years old guy already sound very fishy but totally popular in today’s society (also in the drama he’s 24 when he started having feelings for FL who is 17years)
*The death of his mother was not shown (only tell)
*The ML relationship with Jiang Ying was never shown what really happened between them that made the result that she attached to him, as we can see in the flash back she hate and despise him then what’s give?
* The small envelope the FL insert inside his wallet was never mentioned nor shown again
* The plot/storyline so realistic and relatable indeed but the only thing that’s so exaggerate and very unrealistic was the fact that the FL instantly became very matured & responsible when she became 19years old with a mind of a 30 years old woman, she maybe change because of ML charismatic, kind, humble and modesty character but do you really think a spoiled girl from a rich family can easily change because of love? that’s fairy tale story but anyway it’s a C-drama so what’s not impossible.
*The supporting characters (ML/FL friends) was only there as an extended part or to helped moved the plot forward in the drama apart from that it seems no one cares what’s going on in their decision moment & their development in life, they are like NPC (just like the ML gaming job LOL).

In conclusion, this drama worth watching it, it shows that Love can happen to anyone doesn't matter how old are you and it can make a person so crazy especially in decision making and confidence.

One of the best cdrama I have watched so far can't understand why people are disliking it on the basis of age gap like seriously it is not like they 10 or 12 years of age gap , it's just 5 years and we can clearly see that at the age of 14 she only had a crush on him when she was at her adolescence, any girls at her adolescence can have a crush it's not new and the ML started to like her back when she was an adult not when she was a child . And for those who were saying that ML was getting closer to her , so it's basically she treated ML as a family and he felt warm which he hasn't felt before which was depicted in the drama about his past , so it was natural for him to get closer to FL .

Must watch C drama. it is a package of everything

ep 4 she says tht she is in love with him ..7 she finds out that he is dating some1 so she goes to Yihe as excuse to meet her online dating guy and sees tht duan jiaxu is with a girl and she is unhappy abt it and cries thinking tht she is his gf..n how he broke her promise tht he will tell her when he is dating some1…9 she find out tht he is unwell so she hurries to his office n while waiting 4 taxi he accidently kisses her on the forehead..and takes him to the hosp..10 she takes care of him in the hosp n all..n she takes revenge or splashes back the water to the obsessive gurl (was too cool) they have a moment..11 he thinks of her not in sister way and is worried for her..12 whn he found tht she is drunk at a bar he comes together…tht state she blurts out that she likes some1 and tht he is nice to her n every1 basically she describes him without saying the name and thn he asks her while she is sleeping in car tht if he can "is it ok if i become like him.."..omg..my heart???? The story is Beautifully written, all of the music is so nice and nostalgic, also with the acting!

This is my first review so i don't know if i can express my feelings the way i want to!
First of all, The story might be odd since at the first episode the girl is still in 8th grade but don't worry as you keep watching, you can say that it's good! Secondly, the acting is just too good that it made me cry in some emotional scenes, (I've never cried this much in dramas) and as you know, he is not rich but he always gave her things to comfort her, he literally has a mindset of a provider! Thirdly, all the music is so nice to listen too! Forever Star is my personal favourite, it always reminds me of some scene,iloveitsm. and Lastly, it's rewatch value is insane! every time i listen to their music or see some edits, i always want to watch hidden love! The story is nice, the music is also good, the acting is so nice their chemistry is top notch. Overall i give it a 10/10??

Age gap romance done right finally !!!

I delayed watching this because I usually don't like age gap romances where the heroine is still a minor but I was absolutely proven wrong.

Lets talk about the many positives:
- Age Gap discussion done maturely
The story is aware of its weakness which is Sang zhi liking Jiaxu when she was a minor. But their relationship remains that of a brother and sister even when Sang zhi is an adult. Their dynamic only changes when Jiaxu realizes his feelings after they meet and get to know each other as adults. The characters even have a serious discussion about their age gap and were aware of it. It just made the story more realistic because the age gap was shown as a serious consideration.
- Chen Zheyuan stole my heart !
Even though both the leads acted well, Chen Zheyuan as Jiaxu stole my heart and I haven't recovered yet. His eyes and micro expressions were just swoon worthy and his character (playful and mischievous) was so refreshing to watch unlike the serious and cold CEO characters in other dramas. Jiaxu had his flaws and he owned it. He did an amazing job of portraying a smart, playful and cunning character. Whenever he smiled, you could feel the different emotions he was portraying. He was so natural and his character overall felt realistic. I'm madly in love with his acting right now and I can't stop gushing.
-The heart fluttering chemistry between the leads
The chemistry between Lusi and Zheyuan was palpable. I could feel the tension between through the screen and I was screaming giggling and kicking thd whole time whenever they had their moment on screen. The pining was swoon worthy and the kisses were heart melting. Strangely I didn't find their skinship moments cringey and I usually skip forward when the leads get too intimate, but I didn't do it here. It just felt natural.
- The character dynamics was fun to watch
The supporting characters felt real and their relationship with each other was fun to watch. Not many characters were toxic and didn't make too much drama. I also like Sang Yan and Sang Zhi dynamic, their sibling energy felt real and I liked that Sang Yan was protective over his sister but still wanted his friend to be happy.
- Sang Zhi's character was written so well
I was skeptical how they would show a younger female lead in a age gap romance since they typically go for the naive and innocent damsel in distress route. But i was pleasantly suprised by how mature Sang Zhi's character was. She thinks like an adult and is very clear about her feelings but still has the youthful and fresh vibe of a college freshman. She was very careful about her relationship dynamic with Jiaxu and even acknowledges real life concerns with their relationship. She was just a joy to watch and she was the best female character I've seen in an age gap romance till date.

Now even though this series was near perfect, I still have a few minor negatives:
- The earlier episodes could've been better
The childhood arc could've been thought out more. The cinematography looked weird and Lusi with her very childish voice was off putting since no high school student will willingly talk like a baby. The child actress could've also looked more mature. She acted well but she didn't look like a 14 year old and that just made the age gap thing more weird.
- The supporting characters could've been more fleshed out
The supporting characters were boring especially Sang Zhi's college mates. I just fast forwarded when it was only them on the screen since they were written too stereotypical and didn't feel fully fleshed out.
-Can we stop with the cheesy proposals already ?!
What is with China and its obsession with cheesy proposals. I was hoping that maybe this one will have a normal proposal since the story till then felt mature and realistic but they had to end it on a cringey note.

Overall:
Don't get scared of the plot and give this drama a chance if you want a swoon worthy romance that'll keep you up at night. 9.5/10.

On 12 episodes. Don't find it entertaining so stopped. I like Xu Kai and Esther and Wan Peng but it is boring

Xu Kai is very funny and Esther also very good to watch but it could be that I haven't watched the other dramas in the series struggling understanding the plot. I have not played the games so could be a reason.
