In order to save Ru Yi, her foster mother slits her own throat with Qiong Zhu's sword. By the time Ning Yuan Zhou learns about the situation and arrives, Ru Yi, who is injured, is wielding her sword with bloodshot eyes. She swears to avenge her foster mother. (Source: Viu)
